I 've been using my BBQ grill box with my Explorer for 10+ years. It has been used as an every- day grill, camping grill, party grill, baseball tournament grill, etc... very heavy usage. Zero issues. I estimate that I have prepared over 300 meals with it. The grill box has now worn out( the grate plate below the cooking surface finally rusted and broke through and is coming apart). I just ordered another BBQ grill box and expect another 10 years and 300 meals- thanks!

This has to be the simplest smoker on the market... setting the temperature and time is the hardest. After that, it is foolproof, dead simple and produces perfectly smoked meat every time. You pretty much can not screw it up with the digital temperature controls.

XXL Pro vertical smoker
This smoker adds the extra smoke I was looking for on my meat. I smoked a few pork butts and they all turned out amazing. The smoke ring was awesome. The meat was tender and juicy. The room in this smoker is twice the space I had on my MZG 24 smoker. The temperature stayed consistent and was always within 3- 5 degrees off set temperature. The vertical chamber is great for not losing heat. When I would open the lid to my MZG 24 smoker, the temperature would drop ten degrees or more. I do n't get but a couple degree drop when I open the door to the XXL Pro. Probably due to the vertical design. I would say the smoke box is also great addition to adding extra smoke at whatever level you desire. The Wi- Fi, blue tooth controller works well. I really like this smoker.

My XXL has been in use now for several months. There no significant issues with assembly. The door fits and swings well and easily. The temperature controller works as advertised. The smoke box does the job easily and neatly. Pork Butts, Pork Ribs, Chicken, Turkey, Beef of various cuts have all turned out delicious. It is supremely easy to use. The wheels make it easy to move around, thought the legs tend to vibrate and chatter a bit on uneven pavement. The pellet hopper is huge and easy to fill and monitor. Even the WiFi connection/controller works well. Nice unit.

Ca n't understand the bad reviews... people must be angry or stupid. This smoker went together perfectly and works as advertised. It is plenty sturdy and yes the wood box generates a lot of smoke. For brisket, ribs and butt it is ideal. Get a grill for hamburgers.

I have had my Woodwind 24 for 6 years. Along with the grill I have the Sidekick single burner. I have cooked countless racks of ribs, both pork and beef, Boston Butt's by the dozens, salmon, spatchcock chicken and turkey, and countless other meals. Absolutely love how this grill cooks. The ease of cleaning is enhanced by the cleanout cup on the bottom. The electronic readout is super simple to understand and set. The moveable heat sheal allows grilling as well as slow cooking/smoking. The Sidekick just adds to the awesomeness of this setup. I have cooked pan cakes, sausage, hash browns, and much more on the provided griddle, and used the burner for frying and all sorts of pan cooking. I highly recommend this grill setup. The cover keeps everything clean between cooks as well.

The Woodwind 36 came very well packaged and in great condition despite some outward appearance of rough handling on the packages. Inside was well protected. Assembly was easy, although instructure were wordless with pictures only. Just pay close atte tion to part shaded and the details of the diagram and you will be fine. I chose this model for the ability to flame grill if wanted. The first cook was using the Side Sear grill with some chicken breasts. Worked great and they were delicious. The first smoke was a brisket for some family in town and it turned out perfect. Tender and juicy, just like a pro. Great flavor and smoke ring and everyone wenst back for more. The next was pork butts for Carolina pulled pork. Again they turned out perfect. Great flavor, super tender, and easy to pull off with the app and the ability to set your time, smoke, and timer or desire internal temp. Very satisfied! Would highly recommend the Woodwind.

I bought mine over two years ago. In the beginning the Wi- Fi would drop but an upgrade about 6 months ago solved that. I use an average at least twice a week. The side kick allows the griddle or the grill box. All on one. I will never be without my Camp Chef.
