The finish on the Steel Fiber shaft is subdued but very premium looking- classy. Installation of the new shaft was fairly( thanks YouTube!). The performance of the upgraded club is excellent. Distance is slighty longer and and the dispersion appears better. Picked one of these up to replace a 20+ year old Cobra. Technology really has come a long way in these. I went with a 5w as it seemed like the perfect balance of length and ball flight for my game. The launch and decent angle are much higher than I 'm used to, which is great. Balls really fly off the clubface, and even mis- hits. It's kind of like a cheat code. I 'd love a 7w as well, but unfortunately they 're just a bit too pricey for me to justify in that loft.

Nice looking fairway wood club. They had a rare 7 wood in a stiff shaft. Gentleman named Al brought the club out to my curbside pick up. We realized someone had put the club with wrong specs in my order. Al took me inside and found the right club. He exchanged and solved the issue quickly and walked me back out. As someone with a fade/slice bias I can honestly say the SFT version helps close the face significantly. I was looking for a new 3 wood and stumbled upon one of these with a demo sticker on it, but had ZERO ball marks on the face. Turns out it was actually a 5 wood( 18° loft), but for$ 140 and hitting it 235 yards with about a 10 yard miss left or right consistently, I decided that I had to add it to the bag. I was originally looking at a stealth 2 to match my driver, but had trouble with not hitting a ridiculous snap hook with that, even after switching shaft flexes. My only complaint would be that no one could find the head cover for it, but for$ 20 on Amazon I was able to get one. All in all, I am very satisfied with this club.

These are terrific, I especially like the 3 wood which is easy to hit as opposed to friends of mine who say over and again how much they struggle with a 3 wood. Our course is long and I tease that I 'm going to put a hole in my 3 wood because it is my go- to club. It feels effortless, and at least for me, Mavrik Driver, 3, 5, 7, woods have just the right balance and weight. I 'm 5' 2 '' tall and have a small frame. My weakness is arthritis in my hands& wrists so clubs that do n't demand a powerful swing are key in creating a smooth, even tempo, stroke.

I purchased the Maverick 5 wood and this is by far the best golf club purchase I have ever made! When I hit this club squarely it beats my Callaway Epic Max Driver easily by 50- 75 yard ’s off the tee. However this club has been a game changer for me just using it on the fairway. It is so easy to hit long and straight that I find I am left with either a short chip or I am putting for a birdie on most every hole. I love this Maverick Max 5 wood! Too bad Callaway discontinued the line.

I wanted a club to replace my 2 iron for long shots from the fairway into a par 5 or for tee shots on short holes where a 3 wood was too much club. I was happy with the club as i started getting used to it, but absolutely love it now after this weekend's regular skins game with friends. 225 yard second shot into a par 5, picked it clean and solid and was thrilled to watch the ball hold the flag like a laser.
