Keep in mind that I ’ m a beginner pickleball player that took it up for the first time this summer, so my perspective will be from someone just getting used to pickleball in general. The initial first glance quality of this paddle is pretty high- it ’s beautiful in terms of aesthetics, the grip material on the handle is smooth but still grippy, and the paddle itself is a light sandpaper smooth. It ’s not too heavy that it ’s difficult to hold for long periods of time or too light that it ’s incapable of having some power behind the hits. It feels like the “ just right ” for a beginner player like me that ’s on the smaller side of muscles. I can ’ t speak to whether this is formal professional quality, but as a beginner I ’ m quite pleased with it.

I bought this 6 months ago and have playing with it non stop. I 'm about a 4. 5 in skill level and can just about place the ball how ever I want to. I love the shape and style of the paddle. The length is great for quick hands up at the kitchen and for the hard to reach defense shots that make you take a step back or lean just out of reach. The shorter handle works for me. My only complaint I 'd like for Onix to upgrade the handle strength and overall materials for the core of the C1 Summit. This shape and style of paddle could easily compete against the quality paddles of Selkirk Vanguard and the Paddletek Bantam and Tempest. Onix team, if your listening, I hope that this is something being discussed for future development, I 'd be happy to be an ambassador for this style of paddle, I 'm looking to start competing this year in NC and hopefully other states as well. C2 Summit?...... One can only hope!

OK, so I 'm a pickleball fanatic... a cross- over after 65 years of playing tennis. I know what it takes to deliver power, spin, and touch from the backcourt, and from the net. I found it all with the Evoke Premier paddle. I purchased the 'heavy' model, which gives my shots that extra pop I want. The surface is nicely textured, and delivers all the spin I can muster. If I could find any room for improvement in the Evoke Premier, it would be the material used for the handle, which can get quite slippery under humid conditions. Some overwrap took care of that. Although this frame has been around for awhile, I highly recommend it.

I got the red lightweight Onyx Evoke paddle. It weighs 7. 7 oz and is heavier( and more top heavy) than my lightweight Selkirk. I love the tennis- handle shape of the grip; however, the padding on the grip is very thin and can get uncomfortable. My wife and I love this paddle. It has so much better qualities versus our other one. It ’s lighter, it has a larger surface area, it ’s longer, it has a better grip, and it provides a much more solid strike and control of the ball with minimal effort. Kind of like moving from an inexpensive Hyundai to a well equipped Lexus. Both will get you to your place but one will feel and drive so much better than the other. Now the question of how much usage will I get with the new paddle as my wife has claimed it as hers.

I needed an upgrade from my Z5 paddle and this seemed like the next logical step since I wanted to upgrade to raw carbon. Let me tell you this was a heck of an upgrade. This paddle feels like a lot of the Pro paddles that I ’ ve played with and for less than half the cost. In terms of playability this paddle has a longer feel to it giving you more reach without sacrificing the sweet spot. Been playing with the Hype X for a bit now and I ’ m really liking it. The feel is super solid — nice and responsive without being too stiff. I finally got to play with this paddle after it arrived two weeks ago. This thing is awesome. Very light weight yet sturdy when you hit the ball. This has a sweet spot all over and I have yet to find a dead spot. All the other players took turns use the paddle. They were all amazed what a difference this makes versus a beginner paddle.

just got this paddle two days ago tremendous paddle and this is coming from a guy who has close to 100 paddles. It might look like a cell Kirk. It is nothing like it. Better spin better control more handle feels much better. Highly recommend buying added a little lead to the bottom of paddle made the sweet spot bigger.

The ball doesn ’ t jump off the paddle as much compared to my other paddle, so I like it for dink or short shots. When it was time to smash the ball, I liked using it because of the longer handle. I also liked how I could put spin on the ball with this paddle.

I have played pickleball 2 to 4 times a week for the last 3 years. I started with a midrange carbon- faced paddle, then moved to the Selkirk LUXX S2 after two years, and the change made a remarkable improvement in my ability to control the ball. I still lacked power( but valued control), so I got this AMPED Pro Air Epic. It took me all of one game to regain control, but I noticed significant gain in power and speed.
