Rope seems soft but has n't worn out after a few years use. Just something I keep an eye on. Works well. Not only was the hammock easy to set up, but it was very comfortable. It ’s compact and lightweight making it perfect to travel with. I was nervous it wouldn ’ t be easy to fit back into the bag, but it took no effort at all. Very very happy with it!
