I never thought I would get excited about using a duffel bag, but this duffel is actually amazing. As soon as I opened it, I could tell that a lot of thought went into it. I love that it has a few pockets for organizing smaller items, and the main compartment's stiffened trusses that keep the bag open while you 're packing it is a feature that I did n't know I needed. It makes it SO much easier to pack, and now all other duffels seem lackluster and kind of annoying to use. I 'm petite, so the backpack straps( which are well padded) and the tote handles help me to more comfortably carry large loads. I 'm a travel photographer, so durability is always on my mind when using any kind of luggage. This material feels quite sturdy and I can tell it 'll hold up for many, many years. Overall I 'm super psyched by this bag, and it's become my go- to.

Brad's review below prompted me to write my own review. He may have been a little confused because this bag is MORE than a duffel. I just returned from a golf/bike race and it was amazing how useful this bag is. With pockets on both the inside and outside and the packing cube( the storage bag), I was able to organize the important stuff while having a huge space in the middle. What really surprised me was the tote. I thought at first that I would never use it and it would be too hard to carry but it was the mode that preferred while moving from car to hotel, to and from the race and the size made it so easy to throw stuff in and have it readily accessible. Now that I think about it, the opening in the top is what made it so useful and easy. It has a zipper to close it but stuff stays in really well because it stands upright. The back pack straps can be stored out of the way and I feel like I would use the backpack if I had a long distance to walk, like an airport. All of this info is demonstrated really well in the video so I had no problem figuring out how to use it. This bag is very durable and seems like it would be almost waterproof. I have about 6 duffels and this one is my instant favorite. I 'll use it for travel, triathlon transition, golf travel bag, and basically anytime I need a bag for something. The `` tote '' mode is genius. This is innovation and Nemo nailed it on this one.

Purchased the 35l duffel to help with photo cubes I bought. I have the medium and small camera cube. They fit well in the bag. Living in Florida this bag great for use at the beach and other shoots. No worries with setting on the ground when picking it up dirt, etc stays on the underside. Love having access through the top. Also great having a duffel for kick around use. Just pull the cubes out.

I bought this duffel last year when we relocated from California to the Midwest to take care of an elderly family member. We loaded up a 16foot truck and headed out on Route 66. This was my main bag for the trip and it worked out great. I was able to use this for in and out of motels along the way. I was somewhat careful with how to treat this bag, but realistically, I tossed it in the back of the truck several times, and even with the every day abuse of traveling this way, the bag held up wonderfully and looks brand new. As with all of the design products, this is another outstanding bag.

[ How did Influenster know I was in need of a good, quality luggage? I ’ m overly impressed of the quality of this luggage. The texture and the sturdiness feels like it can sustain a lot during your travels for a long time. It feels lightweight at only 9lbs. Very comfortable to carry. Besides how lightweight it feels, the best part of this luggage is the many compartments it has inside. There ’s even one that can hold all your toiletries without making a mess of the rest of you luggage, especially if there are clothes near it. Inside it ’s very spacious. There ’s a lot of space for multiple items including a lot of clothes with a nice number of jeans, which to me takes a lot space in the luggage. The zippers that have 2 of them has a connecting area for a lock if you need it which is nice. The expandable handle is easy to take out and even easier to get it back in it ’s almost automatic. The wheels don ’ t go sideways but to be honest is not a problem for me. Going forward is perfectly fine in my opinion. I ’ m glad I finally have a good quality luggage to take on my travels. It ’s worth it for your own peace of mind.

I was excited about these duffels to help provide some organization for our roof box and they far exceeded our expectations. If you 're looking for roof box organization that's well- thought out, packs up small, and versatile, this set is for you! The duffels are perfect for our roof box, but I love them so much I find myself grabbing for these duffels over other ones even when they 're just going in the trunk. When we 're camping or headed out on a trip, it's always a struggle to keep things organized in the roof box. We used to toss stuff up there and then try to shuffle things around so it all fit. I 'm short( 5' 1 ''), so being able to see into the box and organize is not easy for me. These bags have made packing up our roof box so much more enjoyable and everything stays so organized. Now I can pack our loose items into their respective bags and I actually know where everything is. Each bag has different colored handles so you can identify which bag is which even if they get shuffled around. They also have a handle on the end so you can easily pull the bags down for the box with ease. I also really love how the bags have backpack straps so it's easy to transport the bags once they 're out of the box or car. The versatility of the bags is also really amazing. You can use one bag, or all four. You can pack them full to the brim or just fill up half the bag and since these pack down so nicely, the half- full bag does n't take up much room. Most recently, we went camping and needed to put our chairs, tent, and camp table up in the box, so we filled the rest of the box with two of the GoPack duffels and they were able to fit most of our miscellaneous camping gear. The packability of these bags exceeded my expectations. I had no idea they would pack down so small and with the carrying case/organizer, it really keeps things tidy and extra compact. I 'm very impressed with how small these pack down to be while still being durable and well- made. Overall, I 'm super impressed with this duffel set and ca n't wait to see all the ways we use them. My husband and I are obsessed with this Duffel set. The storage bag is ingenious! We have it hanging in our garage so we can easily grab a bag for gear storage and go. Whether we are gearing up to go camping, biking, skiing or just for a weekend trip, we are always taking a few of these duffles with us. When we stow them in our Thule Motion 3XL Low roof box, it's easy to quick identify and grab a bag from the box without having to open them up and look inside. I purchased the Thule GoPack Duffel Set( distinct from the Thule GoPack, which lacks backpack straps) along with the Thule Motion 3 Cargo Carrier for our cross- country trip from the Midwest to the West Coast. I already own and love an Away carry- on suitcase; it is my go- to bag for weekend trips. But for longer stays, I tend to prefer a soft- sided suitcase so I can have the option to pack a bit more and expand the suitcase. So, I was thrilled to see this new design from Away and even more thrilled to receive one as a sample. I used it on a recent trip and it is really the best of all worlds; the durability and stability of a hard- shell case with the flexibility to pack lightly and keep the duffel in its slim profile OR truly expand it and max it out( it can fit a lot, much more than I 'd need for a weeklong stay). Plus, tons of convenient outer pockets which I love for last- minute items, gifts, or things I 'd like to keep close at hand. It's also surprisingly lightweight, and I love that it can zip down almost completely flat for storage at home AND especially for putting away/out of sight in a small hotel room. I received this product free from BzzAgent in exchange for my honest feedback. I travel a lot for work and for pleasure and this rolling duffle bag is perfect for me and my needs. I love that it has a hard shell on the backside of the bag so it can be laid down to pack easily. It also has fold out metal legs on the inside that help to support the bottom of the duffle bag so it will stand up on its own when it is packed. A secure garment strap on the inside will help keep those dress pants from being too wrinkled and multiple pockets for all the other items you need to bring with you. It even has expansion straps to help secure and support the bag. The handle glides smoothly up and down and the wheels are nice and heavy duty to withstand whatever obstacles you have to pass. This bag is perfect for casual trips like camping or vacation trips, and it can even be used for long business trips. The bag is very sleek and classy looking. It can be used in any situation and for as little or as much clothing as you need. Just for reference, I put an entire oversized king comforter bedding set inside this duffle bag and still was able to zip it up easily. This bag can really hold a lot of clothes. I own a lot of duffle bags. I ’ m a seasonal worker in Alaska and the lighter and tougher the bag that can hold my gear the better. A lot of if not most duffel bags on the market can convert to a backpack, but I don ’ t know of any other duffles that can convert to a huge tote!? My other duffel bags I used when I travel to/from Alaska sit for the six months until I need them. I know this is gon na be used weekly when we go for quick overnight car camping on the flats or grocery trips in Canada and especially laundry. It's is higher quality than Osprey or The North Face duffles I own and more useful than both. There's a big mesh pocket inside the bag to separate smaller things. it ’s a very well thought out bag and looks pretty cool. I ’ ll be using this for years to come.

I bought this for an eight day excursion hiking the NM and TX national parks. I need something durable enough to handle checked baggage and throwing around a campsite in the desert. The way the bag converts from a backpack to wide mouthed storage tote is very handy. The way it opens up makes staying organized easier than a traditional duffel bag. It is well built and love the internal and external pockets. My only complaint would be the carrying handles should be shorten.

This bag's versatility is unmatched from others I 've owned and used. I never imagined I 'd buy another after my old Marmot bag but Nemo said, `` hold my beer... '', and here I am... looking to get a smaller size for different travel requirements. Internal straps snug down loads inside, while external straps give you options on how to transport the duffel. I 've been looking for a bigger duffel for a trip planning to Greece and wow this fits the bill. I bought the 100L and it's amazing how big this is. So far I have a few 60- 80L Duffel from TNF and Patagonia and love those two. In comparison, this is not as thick as my TNF, but definitely thicker than Patagonia. 2nd, once a few items get tossed in, it's Free Standing!!! With the additional support on the sides, I can easily toss things in. So far I planned a few camping/climbing/biking trips and this thing fits all my gear and clothe I needed. Tote mode has been amazing as it makes everything easily accessible. Ca n't wait to try the Backpack mode for my flights.

I just picked the 30L duffel up for upcoming international travel and a Grand Canyon rafting trip. After reading and watching so many reviews on adventure/travel duffels, these new Double Hauls have all the right standard features and then elevate above the competition with the 3 distinct modes. Having it in hand, these things are built like a tank, but are sleek enough for regular travel( if you don ’ t mind an outdoorsy vibe). I was a little worried that the 30L would be too small and didn ’ t want to jump all the way to a 55L. I despise checking luggage. Turns out you can fill this almost to the brim, then cinch down the interior luggage straps over your gear and compress the whole thing with the exterior side buckles. Amazing. The stiffeners really do work to keep the bag open/structured. The backpack straps are comfortable and stay out of the way when in tote mode. The tote carry handles are a good size and snap together well. Pockets are minimal, but a good size. And the storage bag/packing cube is a brilliant touch when attached inside the bag for more organization. The only thing I would improve so far are the tote carry handles. They ’ re uncomfortable on my shoulder. A traditional padded handle wrap would be an easy fix. And/or adding in a wide shoulder strap to attach to the duffel cinch buckles.

I was a little skeptical at 1st when it came to the different `` modes '' but boy was I wrong. I thought the tote mode would be just gimmicky but its the mode that Ive used the most so far! I got the 30L and it is HUGE. It's easy to just throw anything inside the bag when you have it in tote mode and just go. Its nice when you 're not so worried about having it organized and just hauling stuff and leaving it in the car such as putting my ski gear inside. But when I took it on a flight, it packs as nicely when I started using packing cubes and carried it like a bag pack. I had 4 days worth of clothes and it still has an insane amount of space left( not sure if I 'm just a minimalist). Either way, I 'm gon na abuse this duffel. It's a go to now for any `` hauls ''. This line is exciting... I enjoy how sturdy and tough these bags are and that they can be converted into totes for extra gear, which is unlike any other bag on the market. The additional packing cube is awesome for shoes or dirty clothes. I use the 55L for fishing gear( waders, pack, boots all in one bag? heaven) and ski gear( fits boots, helmet, base layers, jacket, bibs) but love that I could easily use them for a weekend trip. The 30L is an awesome overnight bag and fits under an airplane seat as a carry on. Excited to use them on my drive through Canada and Alaska this summer!

It took a second to figure out all the straps but it definitely makes a difference with the backpack straps when you load that much in it. I love that you have the option of a shoulder bag as well which is why I got this. It pulls easily on “ roller skate ” wheels, has drink holders on the side, and has a plethora of pockets!!!!! The front small pocket is lined with a soft fabric perfect for any items with screens so they don ’ t get scratched! The large pocket has an easy access pocket on front to throw a small purse or book in quickly before boarding or going through security. After opening the large front pocket you get a handful of pockets to organize anything and everything! Not only that but the large front pocket has access to the large internal area!!! I love the fact that it has wheels because, even though I love to look tough carrying 30 bags hanging off my neck and shoulders I ’ m just getting too old for that. This is an addition to my first bag. Things that I like about this luggage is that the zippers are protected by straps to cinch the bag if it is not full. So many times I see luggage that the airlines have bagged because zippers have failed and they do not have straps! The fabric is a good thick durable fabric as again the airlines are hard on them. The wheels and expandable handles are well made and durable, as my other bag has lasted over 12 years without an issue( by the way I travel a lot, it is a thing). The 2 main compartments, one has straps to secure your clothes, etc. The other side has a closing zip compartment. On the outside you can access one of the compartments without having to open the entire bag. Also there is a large pocket accessed from the outside for all of your toiletry items etc. Along with a small pocket for perhaps keys etc. The zippers are heavy duty and durable. I like the size as it has a sleek profile making it easy to maneuver and fit in the trunk of small cars. Also it comes in different sizes.

[ I brought the Thule Chasm along for a cross- country road trip( Denver- Maryland- up to New York) and then used it as a carry- on for a flight to the Dominican Republic — and it fit everything I needed, keeping it dry and contained. The material is super sturdy and easily withstood being tossed around in and out of rental cars, overhead bins, and sandy hotel rooms. I also really like the calming color( easy to spot) and the handle design, which makes it comfortable to pull through airports or grab quickly out of a trunk. It ’s compact enough to fit in an overhead bin but still has plenty of space for both wedding attire and beach attire for a full week. One thing to note: it only has wheels on one side. While that means fewer things that can break, it makes adding luggage on top a little harder to navigate. The main zipper is durable and I like that its tucked under a flap, keeping everything weather resistant- especially nice when traveling in the tropics with frequent passing rain. I bought the Pollinator Orange in person at a local store, after it being the one orange I was like `` maybe it's too bright..? '' In person, it is much more of a brighter burnt orange, and I was instantly in love. I got this duffel this spring, I needed a new dry bag. So far it's rafted on the Bruneau, Selway and Salmon with me. Everything in the bag has stayed dry but I also have not flipped. I love how easy it is to get into and then close. I also appreciate the two handles on the ends of the bag and the side webbing that looks good but gives me another attachment point. The backpack straps on the bag are super comfortable and let me carry my bag with ease over slippery rocks. In a future edition I think it would be nice if there was a small divider or separate compartment where damp things like dirty shoes could go. Right now a trash bag is working.

[ Bought this 1 month ago just before a 3 week adventure/photography trip, Island hopping in the Philippines during rainy season. This was my only bag besides the gear bags. Extreme heat, rain, sand, 3 typhoons, waves, everything extreme. It held up perfectly, kept my essentials secure and dry. It is also carry on size and lockable for international travel. All the carrying positions are well thought out, as I used them all in different scenarios. I will also be using this bag strapped down on the back of my motorcycle.
