First time camping in the spring and temps were slated to be close to freezing. We upgraded our 5yo to this sleeping bag and it was perfect. Quality was higher than expected considering other youth bags are closer to the$ 100 range and it kept them warm all night.

Perfect bag for my almost 7- year old for Girl Scout Camp. She loves the teal color and I love that it comes in it's own carry bag that she can manage. Soft and cozy as well plus very reasonably priced.

Bought this for my son. It is very warm and rolls up well to pack away. My only minor issue is that I wish the bag had a zipper pull on the inside of the bag instead of a zipper on the outside only with a long elastic pull chord. The zipper has caught the fabric and jammed a few times already, but it is easy to pull out and re- zip.

This sleeping bag has n't had the chance to be tested in the great outdoors to see how it would perform in cold temperatures but it does seem to be very warm and comfortable. I am 5' 7 '' and had plenty of room. The straps on the carrying bag are a great added feature.

I took this bag with me for a climbing trip down in bishop. The long bag is the perfect length for me( I 'm 6' 1) and provides plenty of width in essential areas like the shoulders and leg area. Temperatures on my trip gradually decreased as my trip went on, starting at 30- degree nights and dropping down to 18- degree nights towards the end of the trip. I would say the comfortability range is around the 27 to 30- degree mark. Once it dropped below 25, I started to get a little colder. If you want to use this bag in sub- 30- degree weather, I would recommend a fleece and a hoodie to make it a more comfortable night. Overall, this is a great bag and it did not disappoint. The tech specs advertised were pretty spot on as far as temperature rating. If you 're looking for a good sleeping bag for an affordable price, this is the one.

[ Have n't had a chance to use this on the trail yet dbut seems like a good compromise between weight and cost for a synthetic bag. Stuffs small enough to fit in the bag pocket of my pack. Zippers up smoothly and didnt have any problem with snagging. Will be a nice cold spring/fall bag for me and looking forward to using it. Already recommended this bag to buddies.

After hours of research, I decided on and purchased the Nemo Tempo 20 men ’s regular spoon sleeping bag specifically for our trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks as we car camped for 5 nights. While it was mid- May, night temps can drop into the low 30 ’s. Admittedly, I made my purchase from a third party, as I was skeptical about the quality and warmth factor. I am a 5 ’ 8 ” woman and wanted to be sure I had enough length to be comfortable so I opted for the men ’s Tempo. The fit was great and it was very comfortable. Didn ’ t bind or twist when I repositioned throughout the night. But the most important thing is it kept me very warm. Nighttime temps dipped into mid- 30 ’s. I only wore base layer leggings and top, no socks and my feet stayed toasty warm. In fact, I got so warm that I had to unzip the bag to regulate my body temp. It is well made and performs as advertised. It exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend Nemo Tempo 20!

[ I brought this bag on the Camino de Santiago. It gave me plenty of warmth when the temperatures dropped down to 40F without making me feel overheated in warmer temps. I only wish that the zipper extended down further. It was lightweight and easy to compress and carry in my 24L backpack. I highly recommend this bag.

I have't tested it out below 25 degrees yet but even at 30 I ca n't zip cause I 'm too warm( and I 'm usually a cold sleeper!). I switched from a Big Agnes 0 degree womens bag to this one and have been blown away by everything. And I really appreciate that the bag comes with a compression sack!

Hybrid mummy sleeping bags combine the advantages of both traditional mummy and rectangular sleeping bags, offering enhanced warmth and comfort. They typically feature a tapered design that reduces weight while maintaining insulation efficiency. This makes them ideal for backpacking and camping in various weather conditions.
Hybrid mummy sleeping bags often utilize a combination of synthetic and down insulation materials. Synthetic fills provide moisture resistance and durability, while down insulation offers excellent warmth-to-weight ratios. The outer fabric is usually designed to be water-resistant and breathable, ensuring comfort during outdoor activities.
Hybrid mummy sleeping bags are versatile and can be suitable for various seasons, depending on their insulation rating. Many are designed for three-season use, providing adequate warmth for spring, summer, and fall camping. However, for winter conditions, it's essential to choose a bag with a lower temperature rating to ensure adequate insulation.
When selecting a hybrid mummy sleeping bag, consider the lowest temperature you expect to encounter during your outdoor activities. Look for bags with temperature ratings that match your comfort needs, factoring in personal preferences and layering options. It's often recommended to choose a bag rated for slightly lower temperatures than you anticipate to ensure warmth.
Hybrid mummy sleeping bags often feature improved design elements such as more spacious foot boxes and additional insulation in key areas, enhancing overall comfort. The combination of materials used also contributes to a softer feel against the skin, while maintaining warmth. Many models include adjustable hoods and draft collars to personalize fit and reduce heat loss.
Yes, hybrid mummy sleeping bags are an excellent choice for backpacking due to their lightweight design and compact packability. Their efficient insulation allows for warmth without excessive bulk, making them easy to carry. Additionally, their versatility makes them suitable for various weather conditions encountered on the trail.
