I ’ m training for a marathon and bought this because I kept running out of water and storage space for my gels etc. This vest is perfect. It ’s super light, dries quickly, has tons of pockets, and also carries enough water for those longer runs in the summer. Best purchase I ’ ve made!

[ I like how this pack fits and holds my water and extra stuff. I realized to make sure it did not bounce during my run I had to tighten the side and front straps, so it was snug around my body. The bladder holds plenty of water and the two front pockets were just enough to hold my snack and phone/keys. I noticed when I was cleaning the bladder that I had to tighten the hose to bladder to make sure it was secure and did not leak. Since I just started running, it is nice to have the additional water and storage, I feel like I it is my own personal run buddy.

5 courtneyc288_6219
[ This is literally the best gift to give/get- especially if you like to hike! The color is beautiful, the water is easy to fill and the hose is easily accessible. I think my favorite part is that it also has pockets so I no longer have to run/walk/jog with things in my legging pockets or( honestly) in my bra LOL! Would 10/10 recommend! It also is very good quality- doesn ’ t seem cheaply made and seems durable!

5 juliareviews7_2095
[ I absolutely love this backpack! It ’s small, lightweight, yet surprisingly spacious. There are plenty of pockets to organize essentials like your phone, keys, snacks etc. And of course it has a water reservoir compartment with a long drinking tube. This backpack is perfect for hiking!

[ This 3. 0 3 liter Nathan Sack Dehydration Quickstart is great for running, hiking, walking, skiing, camping, and/or just walking your dog. There ’s plenty of storage for a phone, snacks, or even a small water bottle. It also can be easily adjusted just by moving the straps. It ’s fits very comfortably as well.

5 nics16_4033
[ I ’ ve had many hydration packs over the years but none have been as comfortable or lightweight as this one. The straps sit higher than other brands to evenly distribute the weights as someone with chronic back pain, this is the only hydration pack I want to use.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son who loves to trail run. Sorry I can ’ t comment more but he was really excited to get it. The bright red color makes for great visibility.

5 Amateur runner
I am a female with 5 ft 3 ''( 160 cm) tall and chubby, the vest( XS- M Size) fits me perfectly. No chafing, very light, not shaking when running, and breathable. Even it is advertised for men, but it seems to work well for women with my size. But I do n't think it would work for women with large bust.

5 Jon_
This is the only hydration vest that fits my 45 inch, that alone makes this perfect. I carry as much as two Bobo bars, three SIS gels, two 20oz flasks in the front pockets, one 14 oz flask, a packable rain coat and emergency kit. I could likely fit more atop that. Wonderful vest!

5 Rooskie
Great for long distance runnning! Very happy with my purchase!

5 RunRobRun
I purchased this pack about a month ago and it taking it on various hiking/trail running adventures. The storage is optimal for day use but you can also stretch it for a little longer. The value and quality of this product are top notch and a highly recommended. Even for a big guy my size it still fits perfectly.

5 Aweinst2
I bought this as a replacement for a 10- 15 year old reservoir. This one seems like better quality than my old one and I love the removable drinking tube. Makes filling and dumping out excess so much easier. I do n't notice a huge difference with the big bite valve and whether there is `` 20% more '' water with each drink. I was a little worried that the shape looks different but still fits in my hydropak perfectly. The cap is also easier to remove than on my old one.

5 mcph2
The high quality one comes to expect from Camelbak. Fits perfectly in my old daypack that just does n't wear out. I think it's the original Camelbak.

Not sure why all of the neg reviews on cleaning and use but this thing is very easy to dry out and works perfectly at 80 mph on a Harley you have to be smarter than the reservoir Yes hose when it's hot out gets very pliable but what product would n't just have to be smarter than the hose To clean 2 paper towels empty out the water then wipe out u can get around the hose attachment area and then once again for a almost complete dried out reservoir I then took a spaghetti spoon and stuck it inside to keep the reservoir open woke up the next morning and it was dried out Other than that most of you are on two feet I was on my Harley 10 states mostly 80 mph and it was flawless I truly do n't see myself needing to purchase a new one ever

I grabbed this for cycling, but brought it this weekend on a trip to Red River Gorge. Brought it along on Saturday when we did an 11 mile hike in 90 degree heat and this thing saved the day. Enough water to keep both my fiancé and me moving. Without ice the water stayed cool for hours. Fit is super comfortable. Holds a ton of food, gear, and water. Build quality seems good. Great pack for the price. Really happy with the purchase.

Both this for a hiking trip and it worked perfect 😍

5 Hikerboy
Such a good bag, 100 oz of water is 4x my large yeti and the bag still has so much room I fit in an additional shoulder bag, snacks, some accessories and some green, and still had the half of the largest pouch not taken up by the water pouch. Bag is comfortable and stylish. Reservoir for water is incredibly well thought out and comes apart easily and in enough places that making sure the pack is dry after use is a breeze. Nice quality straps, small footprint and breathable materials means your back isn ’ t burning up. I ’ d say if you ’ re looking for a pack that will last you a long time and hold up as well as serve you well for carrying most if not all of the things you ’ ll need for 1/2 day hikes, you will be incredibly happy with this bag!

5 Sergfp
Saw this item in store and I immediately knew I had to buy it. I wanted a 3L camelback that was small and had pockets. This fit the picture perfectly. No leak issues, small and light. Had enough water for a good hike. It is pricey at 90$ but I felt more comfortable buying this after getting sketched out by Amazon reviews on other products.

5 Day Trippee
Nice size for my 9 year old son. He used it on our trip and the water capacity is large enough so that he never was thirsty on our hikes. Only drawback is that the pack does get heavy when all the water was filled. But the pockets and compartments make it easy to store snacks and some lightweight layers to increase its utility purpose.

5 shabeck
I switched to CamelBak brand because buying a new bladder was almost the same cost as buying a whole new pack. Absolutely worth it! Great amount of pockets and the bladder is much more user friendly than my previous pack as well.

I 've been purchasing Camelbak packs going on 16 years and now have at least one designated to each activity I do; running, MTB, Cycling, Hiking, and working outside. I would say I still love the fit and durability of each different style I have( the one I use for working outside is the first Rogue I purchased in 2008), and I 'm really happy Camelbak finally upgraded the bite valve design, but the added magnetic clip placement still needs a more permanent home to affix to on the shoulder strap or chest strap, or something. When the only place to affix it to is somewhere along the adjustable side of the chest strap it's just never in a constant place to mindlessly clip it back in. Otherwise, I 'm still a loyal and satisfied user.

5 Michael W.
I was looking for a lightweight hyrdation pack to use while cycling. This rig meets all of my requirements except for one... the process of getting rid of the plastic smell and taste of a new unit. Seems like Camelback could develop a consumer product or provide specific guidance on how to resolve this issue. I found several YouTube videos offering advice but none have worked completely yet. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the product.

Frequently Asked Questions For Hydration Bladders for Running

When selecting a hydration bladder for running, consider features such as capacity, weight, and ease of use. A bladder with a capacity of 1.5 to 3 liters is typically sufficient for most runs, while lightweight materials can enhance comfort. Additionally, look for bladders with a wide opening for easy filling and cleaning, as well as a bite valve for convenient drinking on the go.

Choosing the right size hydration bladder depends on the duration of your runs and your hydration needs. For shorter runs, a smaller bladder may suffice, while longer distances may require a larger capacity to ensure you stay hydrated. It's also important to consider the fit of the bladder within your running gear to ensure comfort and stability.

Hydration bladders for running are typically made from durable, lightweight materials such as polyethylene or TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). These materials are designed to be flexible and resistant to leaks, while also being easy to clean. Additionally, some bladders may feature antimicrobial properties to prevent the growth of bacteria.

Yes, hydration bladders are versatile and can be used for various activities beyond running, such as hiking, biking, or even during outdoor sports. Their design allows for hands-free hydration, making them suitable for any activity where staying hydrated is essential. Just ensure that the bladder's capacity and fit meet the requirements of your specific activity.

Hydration bladders offer several advantages over traditional water bottles for running, including hands-free access to water and a lower center of gravity, which can enhance stability. They also allow for a more streamlined carrying option, reducing bulk. However, some runners may prefer the simplicity and ease of use of water bottles, especially for shorter distances.

To maintain your hydration bladder, it's important to clean it regularly to prevent mold and bacteria buildup. Most bladders can be easily cleaned with warm water and mild soap, and some are even dishwasher safe. Additionally, ensure that the bladder is completely dry before storing it to avoid any moisture-related issues.
