I 've been purchasing Camelbak packs going on 16 years and now have at least one designated to each activity I do; running, MTB, Cycling, Hiking, and working outside. I would say I still love the fit and durability of each different style I have( the one I use for working outside is the first Rogue I purchased in 2008), and I 'm really happy Camelbak finally upgraded the bite valve design, but the added magnetic clip placement still needs a more permanent home to affix to on the shoulder strap or chest strap, or something. When the only place to affix it to is somewhere along the adjustable side of the chest strap it's just never in a constant place to mindlessly clip it back in. Otherwise, I 'm still a loyal and satisfied user.

[ Received the bottle and inserted the carbon filter and then ran tap water through it. Then, I used this product to filter water at a stream on a hike, and the flow was great and the product is so easy to use. I just strapped the bottle on my pack and could easily get to it to fill up and drink cold fresh water. It cleans easily and the filter worked great. This product can be used by a beginner or an expert. I 've been using BeFree for years and I think what I really like about this new bottle is that it fits on the side pocket of pack as well as in the attachment I use on my front strap.

[ Over the last couple weeks I tested this bottle while hiking. It's incredibly lightweight and easy to use. Placing the carbon filter was easy, just have to be cautious to not damage the fibers. Using on the trail was no issue. Simply pull from flowing water, put the lid on, and drink! I did n't notice any unusual tastes through the filter. Cleaning the bottle after a hike is quick. I appreciate that it's an easy to use system. The bottle feels high quality but the material is thin. I 'll be curious to see how it holds up after a year or more of use. [ I was genuinely impressed by how fast this filter flows, significantly better than other filters I ’ ve used in the past. Straight forward to use and clean. The bottle itself is slightly softer than a standard cycling bottle, which makes it easy to squeeze and noticeably boosts water output up to 2L/min when you need it. One important consideration: the filter components are sensitive to freezing and can be damaged if they freeze, so extra care is required in cold environments to prevent freezing. Beyond the sensitivity to freezing, I don ’ t question it ’s durability and ability to hold up in typical outdoor activities. Overall, this is an excellent option to keep on your mountain bike or in a backpack when heading into the backcountry. It offers the convenience of refilling from nearby water sources without sacrificing flow rate or usability. It is too big to fit in a running vest front pocket, but thankfully Katadyn makes filtration bottles that do! Katadyn Group gave me this free product to try.

[ I know this isn ’ t the 1st water filter bottle that can fit into a bikes water bottle mount but it ’s the first one I ’ ve used and I ’ ll tell you about what I love about it. The first is that it uses the same method to install the carbon filter to the nozzle as other Katadyn products. This method does not increase the size footprint of the product. I like my LifeStraw but to add the carbon filter you have to attach another filter to the original which almost doubles the size of it. Second thing is right out of the box there is no chemical taste from a new filter. Other brands require some filtering first to get the taste out. As a bikepacker I can see myself carrying multiple of these for long trips. I did some testing to see if this would work on other brand bottles and the thread pitch is different between brands so you have to use it only with the Katadyn bottle. The only thing I can think that would make this better would make an insulated version of it to keep it cooler on hot days. Highly recommended. Katadyn Group gave me this free product to try. I took this pack on a trip to California where I had to pack light, but needed to bring my work laptop and knew I 'd be doing some hiking. It was the perfect pack for the job! This simple water bottle is excellent for daily use. Note that it is NOT insulated and works best if you don ’ t plan on trying to keep your drink cold for long periods. It will “ sweat ” depending on the liquid temperature. I use it if I need to have some water for a quick trip of errands, but also works well when I need to mix some simple, powdered supplements. The wide opening and cap are rubberized and easy to grip, remove, and replace. The only thing I think would make this bottle better is if the cap was an attached flip cap rather than the tether, which is a little awkward, so I removed it. The transparent blue is great for giving it some style and visibility to see how much liquid you have. This bottle is consistent with Yeti's quality and durability.

Summer is coming
First of all, I was looking for a bag that I could use to enter a concert venue with, but double as a walk around town bag with a water bottle. This bag was perfect( and it did not look like a fanny pack)! Cute and functional. My reason for taking off one star is the zipper opening. It either needs to be bigger or have a gusseted opening. I can not easily get my phone in and out and forget trying to grab the chapstick that falls to the bottom!!!

It creates a really tight, non expandable space that is difficult to get my essentials like wallet, keys, lip balm, in. It's good quality though but it really needs to be more usable in my opinion. I bought this for my kids for travel( 9yo& 11yo boys), so they could carry a water bottle, sunglasses, deck of cards, etc. I may borrow it from them on occasion, since it ’s more functional than my Osprey Daylite sling. Love that it fits a 24oz Stanley Aerolight comfortably, while still being able to accommodate all the essentials. I tested it out with 24oz insulated bottle, medium wallet, keys, sunglasses in hard case, sunscreen, 1st aid kit, brush, hand sanitizer, chapstick, AirPods, packable grocery bag& phone. It also fits a 1. 5liter hydration pack for hiking, although I didn ’ t test it filled, but seemed to still have good capacity. If you need to loosen the strap, the mesh pocket( which fits an iPhone 11Pro in silicon case) shifts pretty high on your shoulder, so becomes more awkward to access while wearing. The strap can switch to either side, so my lefty kids can switch to their preferred side. My only recommendations, the key leash could be a little longer& the “ secure ” inside pocket is hard to get my medium sized wallet in/out. A zipper that went end to end would be easier with maybe a clip& loop to secure it. I like the external clip that secures both the water bottle from falling out and the front zippered pocket from theft. We ’ ll be road testing this in a few weeks at Yellowstone hiking.

[ Bought this a few weeks ago for a backpacking trip to Olympic National Park and it ’s been great so far! I ’ m a 5 ’ 9 ” woman with athletic/curvy build. [ Have only taken this pack on one trek so far but it was great. Very comfortable and distributes weight nicely. I love how convient it is to access the inside of the pack with the front pouch. Only complaint is the water bottle pocket- it ’s very difficult to get a 1. 5 liter Nalgene in and out when the pack is full.

I did n't understand the significance of a female- specific pack until I got this one-- I had been using a 75L+ unisex/ male pack for 10+ years and it always felt just a little off. The first time putting this one on, fully loaded, for a 5 day backpacking trip, I realized what a game- changer it was. Originally I was concerned going down in size by 5L, but all the pockets and stash points make up for it. It packs much better than my previous pack and the weight is distributed better and sits on my hips more comfortably. Definitely recommend!

Just got this pack as a replacement for my very old and trusted Arial 75. Despite being a guy I got the women's as my last one was a women's and it fit me so well. I am 5' 7 '' '' and 155#. Super comfortable and easy to adjust. I have just used it so far for day backcountry skiing. It easily synched down to a small size and was narrow with no wobble for skiing in the trees. Lots of pockets, I especially like the double pockets in the lid for sorting small stuff.

This is a great bag with lots of space! Love that there are 2 large zippers. Wish there was a small micro fleece lined pocket for a cellphone. I love that you can hang stuff from the utility loops!
