I am a female with 5 ft 3 ''( 160 cm) tall and chubby, the vest( XS- M Size) fits me perfectly. No chafing, very light, not shaking when running, and breathable. Even it is advertised for men, but it seems to work well for women with my size. But I do n't think it would work for women with large bust.

This is the only hydration vest that fits my 45 inch, that alone makes this perfect. I carry as much as two Bobo bars, three SIS gels, two 20oz flasks in the front pockets, one 14 oz flask, a packable rain coat and emergency kit. I could likely fit more atop that. Wonderful vest!

I grabbed this for cycling, but brought it this weekend on a trip to Red River Gorge. Brought it along on Saturday when we did an 11 mile hike in 90 degree heat and this thing saved the day. Enough water to keep both my fiancé and me moving. Without ice the water stayed cool for hours. Fit is super comfortable. Holds a ton of food, gear, and water. Build quality seems good. Great pack for the price. Really happy with the purchase.

Such a good bag, 100 oz of water is 4x my large yeti and the bag still has so much room I fit in an additional shoulder bag, snacks, some accessories and some green, and still had the half of the largest pouch not taken up by the water pouch. Bag is comfortable and stylish. Reservoir for water is incredibly well thought out and comes apart easily and in enough places that making sure the pack is dry after use is a breeze. Nice quality straps, small footprint and breathable materials means your back isn ’ t burning up. I ’ d say if you ’ re looking for a pack that will last you a long time and hold up as well as serve you well for carrying most if not all of the things you ’ ll need for 1/2 day hikes, you will be incredibly happy with this bag!

Saw this item in store and I immediately knew I had to buy it. I wanted a 3L camelback that was small and had pockets. This fit the picture perfectly. No leak issues, small and light. Had enough water for a good hike. It is pricey at 90$ but I felt more comfortable buying this after getting sketched out by Amazon reviews on other products.

Day Trippee
Nice size for my 9 year old son. He used it on our trip and the water capacity is large enough so that he never was thirsty on our hikes. Only drawback is that the pack does get heavy when all the water was filled. But the pockets and compartments make it easy to store snacks and some lightweight layers to increase its utility purpose.

I love my Big Agnes 32L pack for long trips abroad but sometimes you need a smaller pack for hikes, light travel, etc. This Osprey fills the bill and I am very impressed with the design. They are well known for the quality and it is obvious in this pack.
5
Glicker
This is my first day pack with internal frame. It makes it very comfortable to wear, balancing the weight down onto my hips( even unbelted and even wearing it on one shoulder) and the frame with mesh back keeps my back cooler even in 93 degree humid weather. The pockets are n't ideal. The top front pocket is very small( and if you put a heavy phone there it is unbalanced). The internal( water or laptop) pocket is deep- so anything small put in there is lost to posterity( beware). The water bottle pockets on the side fit a smaller water bottle easily but tougher with anything larger. I used it as a carry on( personal item) and no complaints from the flight attendants about how it fit under the seat in front of me, though the top did stick out a little and I found it to be a bit in the way of stretching my lets. It fit a ton of stuff- I had an umbrella and rain jacket, wallet, cosmetic size bag with electronic cables and earbuds, cosmetic bag with actual cosmetics, book, magazine, two journals, an airport shopping bag( small), and small cosmetic bag with meds in there. There is a helpful clip to attach your neck pillow! It also has a rain cover in a pouch at the bottom that was very useful in a downpour, if a little hard to extract and put in place on the fly.

I ’ ve been using this backpack for a while now and I have to say, one of its great features is the smart design that balances comfort and functionality. The padded shoulder straps make it really comfortable to carry, even when it ’s fully loaded. I also love the multiple compartments — it ’s easy to keep everything organized, from my laptop to small accessories. The material feels durable and water- resistant, so I don ’ t have to worry about sudden rain. Overall, it ’s a stylish, practical, and reliable backpack that works perfectly for both daily use and travel.

I bought this item a few months back for my girlfriend. She loved the light purple color I chose as well as how comfortable it was. So far she has enjoyed it on multiple day hikes and loves how simple the organization is as well as the support while loaded up with layers, lunch, first aid kit, etc. She especially loved the ability to add her trekking poles to her pack while not in use and overall is happy with her Osprey Hikelite pack.

As a Boy Scout this is very useful for scouts and other outside activities.
5
Completed the Everest Base Camp Trek a few weeks ago. Out of 8 people in our group there were 5 of us wearing Osprey packs. I had the Scarab 30 and loved it. We hiked in sun and rain, hot and cold, through wood and over rock fields. This pack was on my back every day every step of the way. The bladder was full with an extra bottle of water on the side at the waist belt and the bag was full with essentials for weather swap outs and everything i needed to get from A to B and survive without my big duffel. It never chafed my shoulders or waist, felt great on my back and did n't sweat me up by allowing air to flow around it. It was exactly the right choice. The design of the bladder makes it very easy to fill and shove back in its home. the only thing i would change or add would be a cover over the drinking port. We were dropping our packs in a lot of places, on trails in Tea houses, coffee houses and different temples, everywhere and the drinking port always ended up on the ground. Would of been nice to have some sort of cover.

Love how much variety this pack offers! From the trail to the airport, this pack really does it all. I took this pack on a trip to California where I had to pack light, but needed to bring my work laptop and knew I 'd be doing some hiking. It was the perfect pack for the job! It was great for travel and fit everything I needed for a plane ride and easily transitioned to a hike once I got to my destination. It really has the perfect amount of pockets- I love the front `` shove it '' pocket and the interior mesh pocket to keep thing organized. It also has a small pocket on the inside for its rain cover( which is included!) which came in handy while I was on my trip! My favorite feature of the pack is the included water bladder with magnetic connection points that keeps the hydration hose secured to the backpack strap. I 've never had a pack/bladder with this and I 'm obsessed. This pack has very intentional and thoughtful features and I 'm stoked to have it in my gear arsenal. On top of the features, I love how stylish and clean the design on the pack is. This is now a go- to pack for me and I know I 'm going to get a ton of use out of it. [ I got this pack for longer day hikes, and specifically for an upcoming trip. Have n't used it for said trip yet, but have used it on local hikes to get a good feel for it and it checks all my boxes. It's uncomplicated( just one main compartment with some exterior storage) and I love the padded hipbelt. Also like the fact that there's compatibility for a water bladder. The side pockets stretch enough to accommodate the large nalgene, and there's a small zipper compartment at top for keys, wallet, etc.

I bought this as a replacement for a 10- 15 year old reservoir. This one seems like better quality than my old one and I love the removable drinking tube. Makes filling and dumping out excess so much easier. I do n't notice a huge difference with the big bite valve and whether there is `` 20% more '' water with each drink. I was a little worried that the shape looks different but still fits in my hydropak perfectly. The cap is also easier to remove than on my old one.

I got this backpack to prepare for my 3 month trip in the Caribbean and it ’s has been so helpful to say the least. I have an overpacking problem but all of the different compartments and pockets made it so I could fit everything I needed. The support on the backside of it helps so much with my back pain and doesn ’ t make me feel exhausted at the end of a busy travel day. Furthermore, the top bit comes off as a smaller backpack which was perfect for day trips. The only thing i would change would be the smaller buckles that attach the front pocket to the bag, they were a little weak. However, I don ’ t have any worry they will come undone when I check it at the airport. Overall, this bag has been a HUGE help!! It definitely has made my traveling much easier.

[ This Ampex 65L transcend backpack is quite impressive. It checks all high- end features like- waterproof material, little pockets for essentials is awesome. It provides really decent support for the frame on the back and the rest on the hips, rather than on upper back and shoulders. Lastly as it is 65L- it can pack everything needed for international or a multi- day hike comfortably.

candrus02
This is a great backpack for the price. I am giving it 5 stars because it's everything you would want and need in a pack. The middle zipper opening is an amazing feature that allows you to get into your items without having to pull everything out from the top like a conventional pack. One downside are the hip straps. I feel they could be slightly larger for the size of pack, I had some discomfort but nothing terribly bad, likely had more to do with me being out of shape as well. I recommended this to a buddy and he has one and uses it quite often like myself.
5
Ernesto_hbr
I went backpacking in Linville Gorge, NC for three days, and honestly, my best choice was the 65L backpack. It fit what I needed and had plenty of room to spare. The support to keep my back from sweating, the elastic exterior pockets, and the included small daypack are my favorite details. I would change the side straps for the rigid mat to be a little longer, and the phone holder to be more elastic, since my S23 Ultra does n't fit. I highly recommend this backpack without a doubt.

[ I love this backpack! I wanted something on the smaller side that could hold everything I needed to take my kids hiking. It ’s very comfortable, and I can easily wear both this on my back and a baby carrier in front. I like the deep side pockets. It feels durable. Would definitely purchase again!

This backpack is well proportioned and has all of the right amount of pockets for storage of all sizes of items for your journey. It is also comfortable to wear which is a must. My only complaints are two minor things. First, the bottom zipper where the sleeping bag goes can get stuck easily on the zipper guard/overhang. Second, the padding on the waistline can soak up a lot of sweat. But overall a great backpack and looks cool too. I will keep it for years to come.

I bought this bag to use on a weekend hike on the AT with my thru hiking son. The bag served it ’s purpose. I was able to carry everything I needed easily in the main compartment and brain. The zip pockets on the outside are pretty useless once the main compartment is filled. Same with the water bladder. I did not use it. For the money though it ’s a good bag. It was comfortable on two 10 mile days from McAfee Knob trailhead to Daleville, VA. My torso measurement was 18 and I used the small setting on the adjuster. I tried the medium setting but the shoulder straps did not lay correctly on my back.

The Large size Betalight45 fits me very well. The shoulder straps are comfortable with a loaded pack and the hip belt sits properly to take some weight. I 'm 6' 3 '', 180lbs, my torso is 21. 5- 22 '' according to BD instructions. I measured the actual volume of the main bag to be 46L and still able to roll closed. Side/back pockets will be additional capacity.

Just hiked Mt Kilimanjaro with the Beta Light 45 pack. Super light for a long trek. The harness is amazingly comfortable and with the pockets great for cameras, GoPro's, etc... It handled the rain well, 100% of my items remaining dry. Highly recommend this versatile pack.

Purchase this for a recent hike on the Peaks of the Balkans trail. It was the perfect size for holding everything I needed to go from hut to hut. We did not need sleeping bags or tents, but the pack would ’ ve handled those easily. Very comfortable harness and supportive waist belt. Convenient pockets and the stuff pockets came in handy for water and snacks and rain gear for quick access.

I have been shopping for a backpack for a few months now, reading all the reviews. I was n't quite sure what I wanted, so I ended up ordering a few different ones. This 45 L pathway 2 backpack is likely my favorite in a lot of ways. The waist strap is great with good cushioning, preferable imo to the current sytle of thin straps. The chest strap is nice too, adjustable height. The layout of pockets is pretty much spot on on this bag, I could n't ask for a better design. Even compared to more expensive brands. Super happy with this and have purchased a second. Will continue to look at high sierra in the future.

[ The Transcend 50L Hiking Backpack: A Versatile Companion for the Trail The Transcend 50L Hiking Backpack is a formidable choice for outdoor enthusiasts seeking a durable, versatile, and comfortable backpack for their adventures. Having used this backpack on several hiking trips, I can confidently say it's a reliable companion for both day hikes and extended treks.** Durability( 5/5):** The Transcend 50L is built to last. Its rugged materials and reinforced stitching make it resilient against wear and tear. Even after traversing through rough terrains, the backpack showed minimal signs of damage, a testament to its outstanding durability.** Capacity( 4/5):** With a 50- liter capacity, this backpack strikes a great balance between being spacious enough to hold all your essentials and compact enough to prevent overpacking. The main compartment easily accommodates clothing, camping gear, and food supplies, while the numerous pockets and attachments allow for organized storage of smaller items.** Comfort( 4/5):** The padded shoulder straps and back panel provide decent comfort, especially during long hikes. The airflow system helps keep your back cool and minimizes discomfort caused by sweat. However, some users might find the hip belt padding a bit lacking for heavier loads, and it could be improved for even more comfort during extended treks.** Features( 4/5):** The Transcend 50L boasts various thoughtful features, such as multiple gear loops, hydration reservoir compatibility, and adjustable straps for securing your gear. It also includes a rain cover, which is a valuable addition for keeping your belongings dry in inclement weather. The only downside is that some users may find the zippers a bit tricky to operate, especially when the bag is fully loaded.** Price( 5/5):** The Transcend 50L offers great value for its price point. It competes well with more expensive hiking backpacks on the market while maintaining a reasonable cost. In summary, the Transcend 50L Hiking Backpack is a reliable choice for outdoor enthusiasts seeking a durable and reasonably priced backpack. Its versatile design, decent comfort, and excellent durability make it suitable for a wide range of hiking adventures. While it might not be the absolute best in every aspect, it delivers a commendable overall performance that will serve you well on the trails.

[ This backpack has so much space! There are countless pockets for optimizing storage of all your goods and makes everything so easy to access. The pack itself is pretty comfy and has good structural support to keep your back from hurting. I like the adjustability of all the straps and the big zipper pulls which make them easy to open with gloves on. This includes a rain cover which is nice to have in case you encounter bad weather. And the material itself seems durable and lightweight!

[ I LOVE this back. I backpacked through deep mud and heavy rain. The included rain cover was great for hiking and laying the bag down in the muddy vestibule. It feels like you are carrying half the weight when it is on and it can be adjusted to whatever your carrying preference is. I had and easily accessible spot for everything. I compared it to many other bags before settling on it. No other bag could beat the comfort, which is really important for a person with back pain.

[ Bought this a few weeks ago for a backpacking trip to Olympic National Park and it ’s been great so far! I ’ m a 5 ’ 9 ” woman with athletic/curvy build. Thoughtful compartments, detachable smaller pack, built in rain cover, and seems pretty lightweight to me. I love the green color of the pack and the neon green color of the rain cover. I did n't understand the significance of a female- specific pack until I got this one-- I had been using a 75L+ unisex/ male pack for 10+ years and it always felt just a little off. The first time putting this one on, fully loaded, for a 5 day backpacking trip, I realized what a game- changer it was. Originally I was concerned going down in size by 5L, but all the pockets and stash points make up for it. It packs much better than my previous pack and the weight is distributed better and sits on my hips more comfortably. Definitely recommend!

Just got this pack as a replacement for my very old and trusted Arial 75. Despite being a guy I got the women's as my last one was a women's and it fit me so well. I am 5' 7 '' '' and 155#. Super comfortable and easy to adjust. I have just used it so far for day backcountry skiing. It easily synched down to a small size and was narrow with no wobble for skiing in the trees. Lots of pockets, I especially like the double pockets in the lid for sorting small stuff.

A hydration reservoir is a flexible water storage system designed to fit inside a backpack, allowing for hands-free hydration while on the go. It typically includes a tube that extends outside the pack, making it easy to drink without stopping. These reservoirs are popular among hikers, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts for their convenience and efficiency.
Hydration reservoirs offer several advantages, including the ability to carry more water in a compact space and the convenience of sipping while moving. They help distribute weight evenly in a backpack, reducing strain on the shoulders. Additionally, many reservoirs are designed to be easily refillable and compatible with various hydration packs.
Hydration reservoirs are typically made from durable, flexible materials such as BPA-free polyethylene or TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). These materials are designed to withstand outdoor conditions and resist punctures. Many reservoirs also feature antimicrobial treatments to help keep the water clean and fresh.
Choosing the right size hydration reservoir depends on your hydration needs and the capacity of your backpack. Consider how long you will be out and how much water you typically consume during that time. Reservoirs come in various sizes, so select one that fits comfortably in your pack while providing enough water for your activities.
Yes, hydration reservoirs are versatile and can be used for various activities beyond hiking, including biking, running, and skiing. Their hands-free design makes them ideal for any situation where you need to stay hydrated without interrupting your activity. They are also useful for long-distance travel or outdoor events.
When selecting a hydration reservoir, consider features such as a wide opening for easy filling and cleaning, a bite valve for convenient drinking, and a hose length that suits your backpack setup. Some reservoirs also include insulation to keep water cool and additional compartments for storage, enhancing their functionality.
