I 've been playing for the past few years with older Ping ISI Beryllium Copper irons and wanted a more modern set to lug around the golf course. Tried out both the i530 and g730 irons. The g730 felt good but the i530 felt much better. Having said that, I do think the g730 irons are more forgiving and probably better suited towards the beginner or high handicap golfer. The irons have a classic blade look but has the benefit of a hollow body. They feel great, offer forgiveness and due to the stronger lofts, I 'm getting about 25- 30 yards more distance out of them. The local Golf Galaxy was fantastic about letting me try everything out and helped me with the custom order( only needed 7- PW). Free tip- go through the fitting process so you can get a set of irons best suited for your height and reach. That way you wo n't have to ask, `` Is it the irons or me? '' so much. Overall very pleased with this purchase and would n't hesitate recommending the i530 irons to others.

I was always going to play these irons as I am coming from the original Blueprints. The trick for me, which required care and time in the fitting process, was to find the right grip, shaft and ball combination. And I found it in the TTDG 120 S300 Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 cord grip and the Bridgestone Tour B RXS ball. At 54 I am still playing off scratch but my swingspeed has reduced a tad. But all my fears of still trusting a traditional mb blade iron dissopated when I played this combination. Wow! Totally blown away hiw off the charts good the feel and performance of thus iron is. It will take getting used to the new aesthetics but as all Ping products…you come to really love and appreciate them for life.

My local club had a Taylormade fitting day. They fitted me for this set as an upgrade from a 12- year- old Burner 2. 0 set. The ball jumps off the face so effortlessly that I do n't always feel like I hit it solidly, but then it is flying exactly where it should be. I purchased the Ping 430 driver about two months ago and WOW am I loving this club. I ’ m retired and I play once a week with two other gentlemen who are 10+ years older than me and I was constantly being embarrassed because they always out drove me until I bought this bad boy and now I hardly ever get out driven. Perfect in every way. The offset on the sole of the club makes hitting down on the ball to control spin much easier and more engaging. They are so fun to hit. Fantastic dispersion and control, and there is slightly more forgiveness on off center strikes than I expected. Coming from the T100, I wanted a club that had more spin and more shot shaping ability. The 620 MB is a masterpiece. Only complaint is that I ordered my MBs 1 degree strong, and after measuring the loft, I found that Titleist bent them. 80- 1. 80 degrees strong, each club being slightly off. The 4 iron had 22 degrees of loft, and was supposed to have 23. I decided to bend them back to standard loft, however I wish the lofts were spot on when they came out of the box.

Bought Srixon forged irons April 2023, 9 index, formerly a 2, struggling with true blades due to 56 years of age, game improvement irons do n't work for my game. Fitted for 4- pw with Modus 105 XS. Never played XS before. The iron plays much easier than a traditional muscle back, index has dropped 3. 3 in one month to 5. 7 and headed lower quickly. Play one of the hardest courses in Texas typically in windy conditions. Can work ball both ways, distance control is excellent, and do n't feel beat up after the round. Ca n't draw the ball as precisely vs traditional blade, but otherwise everything else is superior. Easily a club longer with a stiffer shaft than my last blades. Hope they work for you.

in General, A+ Irons, I think key aspect for anyone with a low- mid club head speed looking for distance, accuracy, and an unmatched Mizuno feel. I gamed the 923's last year after extensive market testing and claimed they could n't be beaten from a distance, accuracy, and feel standpoints. I was wrong... The most notable differences for me were the tungsten weighting in the newer 925s 7i- 4i really does help with getting longer irons off the grounds better than the 923s. If in conclusion, I would highly recommend, but I would tell a younger more budget conscious version of myself to stick with the 923s, as I only saw slight improvements in sets year over year.

64yo high handicap player. Love these clubs! Light weight. Very playable. Have played Tommy Armour, Wilson, Cobra Fly XL. The Pings( at the same price as the cobras) are slightly better IMHO. I would urge you to spend the extra money and get the complete set with the bag.

My 15yo daughter transitioned to these after using Ping Prodigy clubs for two years. She only uses the irons and opted for a different driver and fairway woods. She loves her irons, and she has seen marked improvement in just about every metric. Golf clubs are expensive, and so far, about 6 months in, we are ecstatic with this purchase.

My wife was fitted for Ping G Le3 irons, hybrids, and fairway woods in November and they have been fantastic. Gapping specifically for women and women friendly design actually works. She is 78 and is able to hit and hold greens as never before as these clubs have given her some additional length while hitting the ball much higher. Handicap index has gone from 30. 2 in November to 24 by May 1.
