The product description said `` ages 5 and up '' which is accurate. The scooter can be folded for easy storage. I 'm not sure if the battery compartment could 've been placed elsewhere as it's easy to get it banged/scratched up when lifting up the front wheel to get onto a sidewalk for example. [ This scooter is so much fun. It was easy to assemble as you only had to put in the handle bar! The scooter folds down for storage saving you space. More importantly it saves the scooter from falling over! It has a rear brake pad so just step back and place your foot over the brake over the rear tire. It can be adjusted for different heights by raising or lowering the telescoping handle. Smooth wheels for a smooth ride! Can be used indoors or outdoors. Best part is the deck and handle bar lights up!! You can adjust the lights to the pattern you want it to be by pushing the button on the bottom of the deck. You will need three AA batteries for the lights. Overall a fun toy for kids and even the adults!
