Bought these for my new kayak. I 've never used a J- Style before. These were super easy to install and the directions were helpful. When loading the kayak, it was fast and easy. For not having used a rack or loaded a kayak, these worked great. I love that the racks fold down, it was worth the additional money.

Easy to install! Overall a great product! Only issues I am having is strapping which is more me probably! Sometimes the strap will not slide that easy! Plus my vehicle is some taller than most. I bought two sets hoping to put a third kayak in the middle with no luck!

Great product. Well- made. Good instructions. Easy to install and use. The only problem I have is with the second one I bought. The rails on a Toyota Sienna are not wide enough for both sets to open fully and lock. Still working on a solution.

I have been transporting my Kayak for almost 20 years and have had various Kayak specific carriers. These are great carriers and very stable. It only took me 15 minutes to install the first time, the next time it took about 8 minutes. I remove them between trips and so far it has been really easy. Highly recommended, esp if you have a tall vehicle or larger size Kayak, as the ramps on the front of each carrier really come in handy to prevent contact with your vehicle, or in my case, my wife's baby!! `` Dont you scratch my car! My partner and I recently bought two kayaks from Dick ’s and needed to transport them over 100 miles through several mountain passes on a windy day. On a whim, we bought this kit and we are so glad we did. In the parking lot of the Dick ’s, we were able to install the kit on the crossbars of her Subaru Outback within 30 minutes and did not need a single tool for assembly! The instructions that came with the kit were clear and taught us how to safely secure our kayaks to the car. After tightening the straps, the kayaks didn ’ t budge for the entire trek home. This is a great product that is easy to use and effective in fulfilling its purpose.
