This was really easy to install. Be sure to look closely at the pictures! The text descriptions were almost no help. How do you `` dress '' a pulley anyway? This makes `` having '' a kayak available to everyone because `` where do you store a kayak? '' is probably the one reason more people do n't have one!

I stack two kayaks on each other and pull them up together. I 'm probably getting close to the max weight that way but it works for my situation. Hardware is sturdy. Rope seems soft but has n't worn out after a few years use. Just something I keep an eye on. Works well. After all this time I expect the hardware to continue to be robust and the rope is doing better than expected. The rope may be intentionally done that way to help with the auto lock feature which is great when you ate toed and pulling up heavy loads. I 'd buy another one without hesitation.

Life is good
My canoe is finally out of the way when not in use. I love this. It was easy to install and handles the canoe perfectly. I do agree with other reviews about the strap, though. I ended up ditching the strap because I was able to connect the hooks right on to the seat. Up, up and away!

[ I have been holding off reviewing my AutoPilot 120 for a year and a half. I wanted to put it through the grind of a full tournament season and many different weather conditions. After completing a full season, I am amazed with this kayak. The stability of the primary and secondary are unmatched to other competitor's kayaks. Spot lock on the MinnKota trolling motor is a game changer. Having the ability to sit in one spot while focusing on docks, brush piles, and deep water is vital when the wind wants to float you off your spots. There is plenty of room in the cockpit and in the stern of the kayak for so many accessories. If you are looking for a kayak that can do it all, look no further than the AutoPilot 120 or 136. You will not be disappointed.

One of those things that just changes your perspective on fishing forever. Spot Lock is unreal in so many situations, both fresh and salt, and combined with plenty of tank well space and the stability to stand while fishing, this is the ultimate fishing kayak bar none!

I own this kayak for 3 years now and it is the best fishing kayak out there. Having a Minn Kota trolling motor with spot lock technology is a game changer. I focus on my fishing all day hands free, feet free and do n't waste any time on the water. Highly recommended!

ALBSURE
Despite the negative reviews, this item is easy to install and works very well for hoisting roof- top boxes, kayaks, and canoes. I recommend first fastening 3- 2 '' x6 '' x42 '' boards to the ceiling to simplify installation. This makes for a very sturdy installation, allows you to install parallel or perpendicular to the rafter direction, and eliminates the issue of rafter spacing. The center brackets accept 5/16 '' lag screws, and the pulley brackets accept 1/4 '' lag screws. I used 5/16 '' x 3- 1/2 '' lags to fasten the 2 '' x6 '' boards to the ceiling rafters and 2 '' long lag screws to fasten the brackets to the boards. The vertical weight rating of the lag screws exceeds the weight rating of the Multilift.

A kayak lift assist is a system designed to help lift and store kayaks with minimal physical effort. It typically uses pulleys and straps to allow users to raise their kayaks to a storage position, making it easier to manage heavy or bulky kayaks. This type of system is particularly useful for individuals who may struggle with lifting heavy objects or for those who want to maximize storage space.
Using a kayak lift assist can significantly reduce the physical strain associated with lifting and storing kayaks. It helps prevent injuries and makes it easier to handle larger kayaks, especially for solo users. Additionally, these systems can help keep your kayak safely stored and organized, protecting it from damage and extending its lifespan.
Most kayak lift assists are designed to accommodate a variety of kayak sizes and styles, but it's important to check the specifications of the lift system to ensure compatibility. Some systems may have weight limits or specific design features that cater to certain kayak shapes. Always verify that the lift assist can handle your kayak's dimensions and weight before purchasing.
Kayak lift assists can generally be installed in garages, sheds, or other storage areas, but the installation location should have adequate ceiling height and structural support. It's essential to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for installation to ensure safety and functionality. Consider the accessibility of the area as well, to make lifting and lowering your kayak as convenient as possible.
Kayak lift assist systems are typically made from durable materials such as steel or aluminum for the frame, and high-strength nylon or polyester for the straps. These materials are chosen for their strength and resistance to wear, ensuring that the lift assist can handle the weight of the kayak over time. Some systems may also feature weather-resistant coatings to protect against moisture and corrosion.
When selecting a kayak lift assist, consider factors such as the weight and size of your kayak, the space available for installation, and your own physical capabilities. Look for systems that offer ease of use, durability, and compatibility with your kayak type. Reading customer reviews and comparing features can also help you make an informed decision that meets your specific needs.
