This kayak rack is a great addition to our garage. It created a lot of space that would have been taken up with these kayaks on the garage floor. An investment that is well worth it!

Very easy to install and inexpensive idea to have to hang 2 kayaks up. My husband and I did the installation in about 90 minutes or less. Thanks for making it so easy of a product.

I chose to clamp the straps to the I- beam along the centerline of my garage until I get wall space. The system fits my two large- bow kayaks just fine, with enough strap left over after cinching to tie off the paddles and PFDs as well. If you 're able to lift the end of your kayak one person can hang two kayaks in just a couple of minutes.

Was able to easily install into a wall stud and it keeps the kayak off the floor and out of the way. I placed the J hooks high enough that when I want to use the kayak I can just flip the kayak onto the car rack. This eliminates lifting off, down and back up again.

Easy to install, sturdy once it is. Can hold a 14. 5- foot- 80lb. tandem. Depending how low or high you put on your wall, the trick to placing a long and heavy kayak is to slide it from one side to the other, rather than lifting it over the hooks.

The rack system came before expected delivery date. More impoertantly it was easy to install and is very sturdy. I have both of my 10 foot kayaks up out of the way now. I also have the paddles behind the top kayak on the rack and rigged another pole acroos the front of the top kayak on the rack to hang our five lacrosse sticks. Very pleased with purchase.

We were needing a system that allowed us to hang our two 12' kayaks on our garage wall, and allow easy access by one or two individuals, when needed. This system seems very sturdy and does not use up more space than is needed to hold both kayaks. The product instructions gave suggestions for best installation distance between the arms, but we wished we had measured our paddles before deciding distance to place the arms.

I am very happy with my purchase of the Malone J- dock Kayak& Gear storage rack. Installation was easy. I did use a bigger drill bit than instructed to drill the pilot holes for the screws, and used socket rather than a wrench to make it easier on myself. The whole installation was about 20 minutes. Once installed, placing my kayaks in the cradles took about 10 minutes. The straps to hang the second kayak did not ratchet as easily as I would have liked, and I suggest using your own straps, having help to take weight off the straps while you ratchet them up, or using something under the kayak to hold it up while you tighten the straps. Either way, once they kayak is up and the straps tightened the kayaks are secure and the system is great! I also liked having the ability to store my paddles on the rack.

Using a kayak wall cradle helps to maximize space in your garage or storage area by keeping your kayak off the ground and securely mounted on the wall. This not only prevents damage from being knocked over but also protects it from moisture and pests. Additionally, wall cradles can make it easier to access your kayak when you're ready to use it.
Kayak wall cradles are typically made from durable materials such as steel, aluminum, or heavy-duty plastic. Some models may feature padding or rubberized grips to prevent scratches and provide extra support for the kayak. The choice of material can affect the cradle's weight capacity and resistance to weather conditions.
Many kayak wall cradles are designed to accommodate a variety of kayak sizes and shapes. Adjustable features allow users to customize the fit based on their specific kayak dimensions, ensuring a secure hold. It's important to check the specifications of the cradle to confirm its compatibility with your kayak.
Installing a kayak wall cradle typically involves securing it to a wall using screws and anchors, ensuring it is mounted at a height that allows for easy access. It's recommended to follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation to ensure safety and stability. Proper installation will help prevent any accidents or damage to your kayak.
While some kayak wall cradles are designed for indoor use, there are models specifically made for outdoor environments. If you plan to install a cradle outside, look for options that are weather-resistant and made from materials that can withstand the elements. This will help ensure the longevity of the cradle and protect your kayak.
When selecting a kayak wall cradle, consider factors such as the weight capacity, material durability, and ease of installation. Additionally, think about the available space in your storage area and whether you need an adjustable cradle for different kayak sizes. User reviews and ratings can also provide insight into the cradle's performance and reliability.
