This is my third purchase and installation of a YakGear anchor trolley kit. I loved it on my first two kayaks and had to have it for my new Pelican Catch 100 also purchased from Dick ’s. I often fish areas where winds and/or currents carry me away from a hot spot and force me to quit fishing in order to paddle back to where the fish are. The trolley allows me to stay put and to be pointed in the right direction at the same time. Installation was easy thanks to multiple how- to videos on the internet. Only tools required are a drill and a Phillips screwdriver or rivet gun. Great product at a good price.

I bought one for my first kayak and it was easy to install especially after seeing it on YouTube. I have used it a lot in shallow lakes and in Lake Michigan. It holds well and is completely adjustable allowing me to anchor and fish at any angle to the wind or sun. I now have a newer kayak and will mount 2 of this same product, one on each side. I also use it with a drift sock. Works perfect.

Installed on a Wilderness Pungo 120 using You Tube directions. The written directions were confusing. Using You Tube, installation was a piece of cake. I 've only used the set up twice. Each trip it worked great. The second trip was windy with 10- 13 mph. winds. Anchored with the wind at my back so I was able to cast left, right and front. Glad I had the set up, otherwise the trip would have been a bust. Fishing would have been impossible.

Must have for fishing. The 3lb is just right size, use 20' line, attach small stainless safety hook at line end and clip to Kayak( in case you tip when not using or line loosens from cleat while fishing) but use cleat on Kayak when anchored.

I bought this anchor not expecting too much from it and on first glance I was n't particularly impressed: the flanges do n't always fold up neatly so sometimes the locking mechanism was hard to engage. However, the anchor performed far better than I expected. My boyfriend and I each had one attached to our kayaks( 14' plastic recs) in the Charles River on a very windy night. Not only did they hold us with no discernible drift for more than three hours, they also held a couple of other kayakers who tied up to our boats. They both came out cleanly when we were ready to leave. For an inexpensive anchor, it far outperformed my expectations. I highly recommend this.

[ Great Product. This is my second one. I would suggest getting this HD version with the plastic backer plates. Skip the well nuts, and use this instead, you will thank yourself later. Plus install is easier now that you have a something to grip onto from the inside! Rope is plenty long and strong for any Yak/Canoe. The cord has minimal stretch, keep loose for initial install while cord get comfy, then tighten one time after, and you are good to go. As Always, YakAttack made a great product even better!.

I got a few of these for my paddles. I am redoing my gear room, hanging kayaks on wall. I got these holders to not mount on kayaks, as who wants to put holes in boats? I got them to screw into the rafters to clip my sets of paddles to the ceiling. The end tips close a tad behind the paddle, keeping it secure and can hang upside down. Tho I am still in process of redoing room, I have not hung up paddles yet, but IT WILL without a doubt work.
