Installed on a Wilderness Pungo 120 using You Tube directions. The written directions were confusing. Using You Tube, installation was a piece of cake. I 've only used the set up twice. Each trip it worked great. The second trip was windy with 10- 13 mph. winds. Anchored with the wind at my back so I was able to cast left, right and front. Glad I had the set up, otherwise the trip would have been a bust. Fishing would have been impossible.

This anchor trolley is exactly what I was looking for. Easy installation and has held up well. I am an avid fisherman. I go out at least once if not twice a week in my kayak for a few hours. Have not had any problems to speak of yet. Thanks Yak- Gear for making a good reliable product at a reasonable price.

I bought one for my first kayak and it was easy to install especially after seeing it on YouTube. I have used it a lot in shallow lakes and in Lake Michigan. It holds well and is completely adjustable allowing me to anchor and fish at any angle to the wind or sun. I now have a newer kayak and will mount 2 of this same product, one on each side. I also use it with a drift sock. Works perfect.

Bought this a month or so ago for my kayak. I like the crate and bungee it down behind me. Every thing I need to fish fits in it. Some items are screw on just use clear outdoor caulk on it before final tightening to kayak.

[ Great Product. This is my second one. I would suggest getting this HD version with the plastic backer plates. Skip the well nuts, and use this instead, you will thank yourself later. Plus install is easier now that you have a something to grip onto from the inside! Rope is plenty long and strong for any Yak/Canoe. The cord has minimal stretch, keep loose for initial install while cord get comfy, then tighten one time after, and you are good to go. As Always, YakAttack made a great product even better!.

Purchased in May 2021, I upgraded from a paddle kayak when I found my AP120. I love to fly fish and this kayak allows me to slowly troll while standing and tossing flies around. Also the ability to lock into one spot and fish without an anchor is a game changer. The peddle kayaks are nice but not an option for me because I really enjoy standing while fishing most of the time with the option to sit when desired. Kayak is very stable and I feel completely balanced while standing. I use the lead acid battery for the motor and I 'm able to fish two full days on the water sun up to sundown without having to recharge the battery. I 've taken it out approximately 25 times in 5 months now and absolutely love it! Remote is very user friendly and if you hook into a big one you can quickly turn the motor off easily with a push of a button while standing if the fish makes a run directly under your Yak. The only downside is the kayak is heavy especially with a lead acid battery, but a good kayak cart takes care of that. highly recommend.

I went back and forth between The 106 Sportsman powered by MK and the Auto Pilot. I pulled the trigger on the Auto Pilot and I am so glad that I did. Not having to fuss with an anchor anymore is a total game changer. The boat is stable, and super comfortable to be on the water for extended periods of time. There is ample storage and very well though our features every where you look. I fish in south west Florida, and it is incredible to be able to stand and sight fish Snook, and Reds on the flats while controlling the kayak from the remote!!! I would buy this kayak again no hesitation!

I have been fishing from the AutoPilot 120 for about 6 months in a variety of conditions and I am extremely pleased with capabilities of the is kayak. I have always been a bit skeptical of `` motor powered '' kayaks but the technological features of the AutoPilot intrigued me. As someone who does a lot of trolling the ability to maintain a constant troll speed in the face of wind and current is absolutely amazing. I frequently use the heading feature to `` set it and forget it '' and am able to have everything prepped by the time I get to the fishing grounds or get back to the launch. The real magic of this kayak is built into the motor which I power with a lithium 100ah battery. I 've never come close to draining the battery even with 10+ hrs on the water. Deploying and stowing the motor is easy. The deck and storage space is more than ample. The chair is very comfortable. If I had to be nit- picky my biggest complaints would be that the gear track is too far forward forcing me to use extensions on my rod holders to make them reachable when trolling and limited access to the inside of the hull.

This kayak is simply great in so many ways. It offers the features that I 've been wanting for several years in so many ways- electric, quiet, controllable, powerful- what a pleasure to use.
A kayak anchor kit is designed to secure your kayak in place while you fish, relax, or enjoy the water. Typically, it includes an anchor, anchor line, and sometimes additional accessories like an anchor trolley for easier positioning. These kits are essential for maintaining stability and preventing drifting in various water conditions.
When selecting a kayak anchor kit, consider factors such as the type of water you'll be in, the weight of your kayak, and the conditions you expect to encounter. Lighter anchors are suitable for calm waters, while heavier options may be necessary for windy or rough conditions. Additionally, look for kits that offer durable materials and ease of use.
Yes, a kayak anchor kit can be used in various water bodies, including lakes, rivers, and coastal areas. However, the effectiveness of the anchor may vary based on the water's depth, current, and bottom composition. It's important to choose an anchor that suits the specific conditions of the water you plan to navigate.
Kayak anchor kits often feature components made from durable materials such as nylon, stainless steel, and galvanized metal. These materials are chosen for their resistance to corrosion and wear, ensuring longevity in aquatic environments. The anchor line is typically made from strong, lightweight materials that can withstand the stresses of anchoring.
An anchor trolley allows for adjustable positioning of the anchor along the length of the kayak, providing greater control over your kayak's orientation. This feature is particularly useful for fishing or when you want to face a specific direction without moving the anchor itself. It enhances the overall functionality and versatility of your anchoring system.
Using a kayak anchor kit provides stability and security, allowing you to stay in one place while engaging in activities like fishing or enjoying the scenery. It prevents your kayak from drifting due to wind or current, enhancing your overall experience. Additionally, it can improve safety by helping you maintain control in changing water conditions.
