I got this as a Mother ’s Day gift and so far it ’s perfect. Last year I had purchased a Sundolphin Journey 10 SS and returned after 1 use. I ’ ve taken my new Perception Pescador out a couple of times and it ’s super stable and it tracks well. It ’s a little heavier than I ’ d like but I still love it.

My wife and I recently purchased two of these kayaks and they are very good for the price. Plenty of storage and stability is not an issue( I am 6 ’ and just under 300lbs). Great product for general purpose use such as lakes, slow rivers and calm bays. The rod holders are too shallow but with some ingenuity they are useable.

Overall, this is a really nice kayak for the price point... especially on sale. It's solid and durable, which also makes it a bit heavy. I do have a handful of complaints. First of all, the rod holders behind the seat are huge. The diameter is quite large, which increases the chance of losing a rod. I find it ridiculous that Perception sells inserts for these. The second complaint is the side handles. Aesthetically they are great. They are streamlined and sleek. Functionally, they 're less than perfect. You can only grip them one way. The cavity is on the inside of the boat so you 're fingers can only grip that side. It makes it more difficult to load on top of a vehicle. The front rod holder is n't great either. There's a RAM mount, but's it's a 1- 1/2 '' ball, which limits your options. You could get a 1 '' ball, but it's$ 20+. A small deck hatch, right in front of the seat would have been nice for phone/keys/etc. The seats not bad. I would still recommend as no boat in this range is going to be perfect.

I bought a 8ft lifetime kayak for my daughters birthday( larger one, she grew out of her lifetime kid kayak) and only a display kayak was available, except a hook plug was missing for attaching the seat( water was getting into the inner kayak).. I went online and sent an email explaining, they were nice and let me know they were sending me a replacement with no extra charge to me. buying from lifetime has been the best decision I 've ever made!! I will continue to buy their kayaks and send my family and friends to them.. seriously a exceptional company!!

My husband and I both purchased Lifetime kayaks a few years ago. We have enjoyed many hours of paddling in our nearby marina. Additionally, due to storage limitations at home they have been store outdoors. The colors of both have remained vivid, never fading. Kudos to customer service as well, replacement of a strap buckle was easy and set to arrive in about 4 days. Outstanding!

I haven ’ t been able to test the kayak out just yet, but it came packaged really well. Pretty easy to assemble, although we did use an electric pump to ease inflation- in a pinch the manual pump works just fine. The backpack makes it easy to lug around and store while not in use. I can ’ t wait to take it on the water with my kids!

I got this double kayak for my two boys that absolutely love to fish, swim and be on the water. It took us about 10 minutes to pump up which is not bad to be on the water paddling around and/or fishing out in the open water for the day. The seats were surprisingly comfortable for a long paddle session and the it was a sturdy ride. It was super easy to maneuver through the water. We ’ ve always wanted kayaks but didn ’ t have the room to store them. This comes with a storage bag that is easy to put the folded kayak back once dry that fits the oars and pump with ease. Amazing!

Great portable kayak! This kayak is a fantastic quality. I love the option to deflate and use the backpack style carrying bag. It is on the heavier side for some, but my husband does not have an issue. The pump is a great quality and quickly inflates. The bag has plenty of room to fit everything inside. Highly recommend!

This inflatable kayak has worked well to paddle in our creek and out to the river with my son or daughter. I am careful to avoid downed trees or anything that could puncture it. We also plan to use it in the ocean and intracoastal. My 9yr old son fully inflated and assembled it by himself. It comes with 2 seats, 2 paddles, pump, repair kit, fins, and a nice zippered storage bag. While it is easy to setup, it does take some time and should be noted that there are a lot of parts to keep up with and the once inside the bag it is quite heavy and large to store or transport. For one person, it takes about 15 minutes to deflate and packup and bw 30- 45min to set up the first few times.

I was finally able to take this incredible kayak up to the lake the other night and I am IMPRESSED. I was nervous I was n't going to be able to disconnect the top part by myself but it was so easy! I am so impressed with the quality of this kayak and all of its features! Tons of storage, a place holder for your phone or a book, etc. 10/10 recommend this kayak!

This is my first real kayak and I was torn between a sit in or a sit on option and then I found this! Super unique design and I ’ m very impressed with the quality of the product. I feel like I ’ ll have it forever. If you are thinking of using a kayak on bumpy choppy waters or just lounge on a lake it works for both. My favorite feature is the skipper plugs which allow you to drain the kayak while you are in it!

I really like that I have options to choose from a sit in to sit on top. Transitioning between the two was really easy and I could do by myself. It handled really well in the water better than my other sit on top kayaks. It balances really nicely so if you ’ re not sure of your skills you will be comfortable giving kayaking a try on this. It did take 2 of us to move it. I ’ m sure a taller stronger person would have no trouble. I am 5 ’ 4 ” and used the foot rest at the very top, so there is definitely plenty of room for a taller person. But it also was a nice fit for me. The sit in top does have a lip so you could put a skirt on it, but I wouldn ’ t as there ’s is nothing on the side connection that would stop water from coming in like a rubber seal. For the small details it has a curve in the top side and strap for your paddle holder. A small cubby you could put your phone and stuff in with easy access and it ’s not on the floor. There is a lay down cup holder, which held my drink but I didn ’ t like as my bottle got wet. And sometimes I have a drink that the lid is open so I would have nowhere to put it. All together though this is a great option if you want the best of both worlds. I plan on taking this instead of my other kayaks so I can transition and enjoy the best of both!

Wow! What a great idea. Many kayakers want a sit on top for the warmer months of the year, while they might also want a sit inside for the cooler months of the year. Or, they might want a sit inside on a summer day to keep the sun off their legs. The Cabrio 11- does both! It ’s a convertible! Pull it ’s top off for an open air sit on top experience, or put it ’s top on for a sit inside experience. It ’s your choice! My favorite feature is the little cubby hole storage area for my phone that is in easy reach just under the sit inside cover, really cool idea! This seems like a very durable kayak with its HDPE construction and I really like how Lifetime has treated the kayak to resist UV damage, like they do all of their other outdoor products! Check out the Cabrio 11- it ’s worth your time and money!
