With the upcoming season my 10 year old needed new catchers gear. I honestly did n't want the hassle of driving around looking for catcher gear but also did n't want to order online and have it not fit and have to deal with the whole return. She is about 4 foot 1 so not a big girl, the gear is a bit big for her but I was able to tighten it up to fit good which she will have plenty of room to grow into it more an as she gets older! This catchers gear was deffected, leg straps do not work, strap on chest protector broke. We drove 20 mins to original store purchase In Cerritos mall, to then drive 30 mins away to West Covina. We had our account receipts but in store associate did n't want to accept. It was n't until we went to West Covina and we had customer service on the phone who spoke to the store manager. We then were able to exchange. There is no need for us to drive over and hour, wait around 30 minutes, go through 4 on the phone associates and 3 in store associates.

I picked this up for the local little league that needed catchers gear for their single A team. As someone who caught before I 'm familiar with the gear and what good quality gear looks like. This set is so much nicer than what I had when I was in little league. I really like the velcro connected straps as they provide solid yet easy to attach and detach. The shin guards are sturdy and look to provide solid protection. The chest protector is also nice and thick and I like the added padding for the throwing shoulder as that's something Ive seen missed in a lot of sets. Finally, the helmet is solid as is the face mask but the face mask provides very good visibility which is essential. All in all, I 'm happy with this as is the team.

The Marucci Catcher's Select Kit is very very well made kit. The helmet and face guard are solid. The chest protector attaches via buckles, and has a shoulder pad that can be mounted for right or left- handed players with velcro. The shin guards are nice pieces too, however they attach via velcro; that makes them very quick to take on and off versus buckles, but we 'll see how long the velcro holds up.

The helmet was a large and was a little big but adjusted well, plus she hit that growth spurt at 12 1/2 which took up the slack. Jen Schro gear it tops in quality and protection.
