This is my first hydro flask and I really like it so far! The bottle itself is great, holds lots of water, and keeps ice cold for such a long time. I drink about 2 of these a day, sometimes more if it ’s hot. I like the flip straw lid but feel like it could be better. Sometimes when you open it, it flings a bunch of water out so I just cup my hand over it when I open it. The flip straw will lock in when closed but doesn ’ t lock when fully opened, therefore if you aren ’ t pulling back on the mouth piece as you ’ re drinking it and it goes forward a bit, you get a lot of air. So I ’ ve just been holding the mouth piece all the way back as I ’ m drinking and it ’s been fine. I ’ m also not used to such a small handle on such a large/heavy- when- full bottle so I switched it out for a paracord handle. I also purchased the flex strap tool to help switch out the handles and it helped a LOT. Overall I really like this bottle, although the flip straw took some getting used to. It looks nice and I love the surf color, especially with the matching lid! It keeps ice/water cold for a day or more and even though it ’s big it ’s still easy to hold/drink from even with small hands.

It does need to stay upright, because it leaks if you drop it on its side, or at least the one I have suffers from that issue. I have several of the smaller Flowstate 2. 0 40oz tumblers and they ’ re my favorite drinking tumbler because of how well the insulation works to keep my cold drinks icy for hours at work, but I really wanted to have something large for ice water at work that kept it cold for longer periods of time. Enter the 64 oz version! I ’ m a big fan of the latest version of these tumblers and I ’ m happy to confirm the 64 oz works just as well as the smaller variants to keep drinks loaded up with ice very cold for hours, so much so that often times if I didn ’ t empty it the ice is still there the next morning. These are certainly a bit heavier obviously, but if weight is not a concern, you can carry a much bigger iced drink that will stay cold all day without issue. I drink cold drinks all year, but with how hot it gets here in the summer these are certainly a great purchase this time of the year if you ’ re looking to sip on a chilled beverage to stay hydrated and cool for a longer period of time without being able to refill your mug, you can ’ t got wrong with the 64oz version!
