I 'm glad I took the risk because though I do find it helps to make use of a shoe horn to ease putting them on, with thin running socks they fit just right! Snug but not too tight. I have arthritic knees, and these have the perfect combination of cushion and stability for walking on a variety of terrain, from light hiking trails to gravel to sidewalk. I had wished for different color options, but when they arrived I found the salmon color quite striking, so I 'm quite pleased with that in the end too.

They are extremely light which is important to me doing long day hikes. The toe area is reinforced with a rubberized area. I love Merrell Moab ’s, wear them every day and have 5 pair. But as hot as this summer has been, I wanted a pair of lighter weight shoes. I started with Merrell styles, but had no luck getting a good fit for my problem feet—a neuroma and plantar fasciitis on one foot and a bunion on the other. I also tried styles from all the highly rated shoes for walking, including those with gel insoles. They all bothered my neuroma, and the gels were so bouncy they made me feel a little unsteady on my feet. So I went back to Merrell and tried the speed solo, ordered up a half size, and finally found my fit! The shoes seemed narrow at first, but after wearing them a couple of times, they ’ re as comfortable as my Moab ’s.

[ Amazing shoes! While it ’s not entirely ideal hiking weather where I live, I can still attest to the comfort and breathability of these shoes. I wear them as daily shoes and they have excellent traction in all the wet and slick spots that are pretty common this time of year. They ’ re very breathable shoes, so much so that my feet have been getting a little cold when wearing them outside in the frigid temps here in the midwest. That being said, the memory foam in insoles of the shoes make these super comfortable on my feet when I ’ m going for walks and little treks around the neighborhood. I can ’ t wait to wear these out on my next hiking adventure to really test out their comfort and durability. For now though, I love these shoes!

I wore them in some slush/ice and had no issues. I think they ’ re really attractive. Was worried that the white sole would stain easily and look junky, but so far it ’s been fine. Haven ’ t been in mud yet though. I gave the comfort 4 stars because there ’s a spot where the upper was rubbing when I was breaking them in. It ’s gotten better and I imagine it will go away once they ’ re fully broken in. I ’ m also not used to having that much ankle coverage, so it could be that that ’s affecting me.

Love how I don ’ t have to fight with the laces like I do in other snow boots to get a snug, comfortable fit. These have been impenetrable from the Utah snow and cold. They are pretty grippy on the ice as well.

This is my third pair of these shoes. They are very comfortable with a snug fit, and not too tight. They stay on in all sorts of terrain. I do uses shoe horn to put them on to save my fingers.

I have been a loyal Moab mid boot wearer for years, having owned and worn through 12 pairs or so. The Moab Speed 2 shoe was a game changer for my feet. I usually suffer from some typical small hot spots during multi- week backpacking trips, but these shoes were an absolute dream on a 26- day trip on the John Muir Trail. The breathability of the non- waterproof shoe is excellent, but they also held up incredibly well against the rough granite of the Sierra ’s. I will absolutely be buying this shoe again!

As someone with a lot of foot problems, finding shoes that are comfortable, supportive, and that look nice had been a challenge. After trying similar LL Bean and Timberland shoes, I finally got the Moab 3 from Merrell. After 4 years of daily use and frequent outdoors activity including outings with my son's scout troop, the upper started to crack where my foot flexes. The sole and lining was still in good condition with reasonable wear. With a rainy camping trip looming, I got the replacement pair and have been just as happy with the new shoes as I had been with the old ones. These are fantastic shoes that offer great stability, decent protection against water, and great comfort.

So far these are a great pair of shoes I work in lawn service so I walk literally 5 6 maybe 7: 00 on a busy day miles a day and today I bought these in the morning time and wore them all day did n't need to be broken in they 're comfortable I have no knee pain like I normally do from the how do I say this Bass Pro Shop brand shoe red f a r n you can figure rest out if you know what I 'm talking about those shoes their brand lasted Me 3 months at a clip and then I 'd be out$ 70 because it was past their new return policy so$ 70 a year four times a year due to math it's kind of expensive just for some shoes so we 'll see I 'll give another review on these shoes in 3 months and hopefully if I can remember in a year and hopefully the last and have their I 'll get my money's worth hopefully I 've been here in a few mixed reviews about them mainly good I 'm giving you a good review on first day wearing them stay tuned I guess great shoes

Last May I put these on to begin a pilgrimage “ walking with a backpack ” from Assisi to Rome. I choose the men ’s style( on sale and perfect for my wide feet and I went down a size. I didn ’ t even break them in and walked over 250 kms and not an issue. I just replaced the shoe with the same pair as I plan to walk from Florence to Assisi with a backpack in September. Great support and no blisters!!

I gave these as a Christmas gift to my dad. He was so thrilled with them. He loved the firmness of the sole as he is using them on his mountain bike. He has a similar version without the extra black textile on the side but they really stretched out. The black textile seems to help hold the shape of the shoe better than just suede. Width is perfect not too wide.
