Tried out my new sling pack today and I must say, I ’ m very pleased, just the fact that it ’s ambidextrous really makes a difference, was able to stow all my gear and still have some room, will be moving things around to see what works best. I think it could use some loops or d- rings to hang a few things, but so far this thing is great.

I previously owned a couple different dry creek z slings and I much prefer the headwaters sling over the dry creek. The headwaters pack has a nice organized feel with various pockets and dividers. The outside pocket is very handy with the flip down fly caddy. The net storage spot is okay but could be better. I hesitated to buy this pack based on a bit of information that I saw claiming that the net storage was basically unusable. I have found it to be adequate but also believe it could be improved. Strap options are a bit limited but I typically haul a large amount of stuff including a rain jacket and feel like I still have a bit of room to spare. Lastly, I like the ambidextrous touch to this pack that allows to move strapping to be supported on the other shoulder. Happy I gave this pack a try and feel I ’ ve got a good long term option if it can hold up to heavy usage.

This sling bag is great for my everyday. The small pocket in the front has a key clip so I can keep track of them and fits my sunglasses perfectly. The double zipper on the main pocket make it easy to access my wallet, etc without dumping everything out. My only complaint is the strap is just a few inches shorter than I would like.

Just the right size to add extra daily items as a daily carry all. The shoulder strap at the top is a bit wide and not everyone would blow out their back carrying a computer make this more daily carry friendly! Please Please why make a crossbody of you can NOT cross and use both sides to connect the strap!! an extra loop of material and a clip would do it! But it is a great size!

Nicely designed with respect to pockets. There are actually 7 separate compartments: 1. Side pouch( perfect for 2 balls or a water bottle) 2. Wide long pouch for up to 3 paddles( maybe 4 if the narrow long pouch is n't used for anything bulky 3. Narrow long pouch, useful for gloves and sun visor 4. Back side small zipper pouch( I keep lip balm, bandaids, and hand warmers in there) 5. Back side full width pouch( velcro closure at halfway point) is useful as it will allow me to stick an extra regular sized disposable water bottle in one half of it. Also useful for anything extra that I just want to shove in there temporarily to get to and from the car. 6. Upper front zipper pouch good for thin things( holds my slim credit card wallet and keys) 7. Lower front zipper pouch( can accommodate thicker items like sunglasses if only 1 or 2 paddles are in the bag) Zippers are smooth and easy. Fence hook is tucked into a pouch at the top of the back side of the bag. Back strap can be hooked to bottom left or right side for your preference.

This is the most convenient bag I have tried out for carrying enough equipment for an enjoyable afternoon of pickleball. It easily holds a couple of paddles, balls, towel, water bottle, wallet and phone. It has a hook in the main pocket that can be used to hang the bag on a chain link fence or left inside the bag to hold your car keys. It is made of a durable canvas like fabric. So expect it to last a while. I have had mine for a four years of playing a couple of times per week. And it looks like new. The one I just bought is going to my grandson. I did not even look at other bags.

The lightweight bags are great for application where abrasion is minimized but a susceptible to getting small holes in rough environment or after heavy use. The big river bag is the perfect heavier duty compliment to the lightweight dry bag for applications like kayaking, bikepacking and other adventures where you need to keep items out of the elements but where abrasion can ’ t be entirely avoided. I ’ ve used the 13L size in a few of my whitewater kayaks including my half slice and it a great size to slide behind the seat. Never had a drop of water get in. I like the 13L size, it could easily fit a sleeping bag and a light layer in it. Have yet to get it out on a bike packing mission but expect the lash points will be nice to have. The picante red color is awesome. Looking forward to taking it on more adventures.
