I previously owned a couple different dry creek z slings and I much prefer the headwaters sling over the dry creek. The headwaters pack has a nice organized feel with various pockets and dividers. The outside pocket is very handy with the flip down fly caddy. The net storage spot is okay but could be better. I hesitated to buy this pack based on a bit of information that I saw claiming that the net storage was basically unusable. I have found it to be adequate but also believe it could be improved. Strap options are a bit limited but I typically haul a large amount of stuff including a rain jacket and feel like I still have a bit of room to spare. Lastly, I like the ambidextrous touch to this pack that allows to move strapping to be supported on the other shoulder. Happy I gave this pack a try and feel I ’ ve got a good long term option if it can hold up to heavy usage.

Purchased to use instead of a Lew's slingpack. Positives: storage for 2 3700 packs plus the front pocket allows for storing soft plastics. Good value at the clearance price. Front waterproof pocket allows to store my phone. There are 2 clear pockets inside that I 'm using to store partial reels of line. Negatives: The Lew's had 2 mesh pockets on the side to allow for storage of tools. There is a velcro flap on the strap that I 'm using for storing a set of pliers but no option for line cutters or other small tools. Overall: I 'm happy with the quality of the pack. Gives my more overall storage compared to the Lew's. Definitely would recommend at the clearance price. Would n't purchase at the original price.

This is the most convenient bag I have tried out for carrying enough equipment for an enjoyable afternoon of pickleball. It easily holds a couple of paddles, balls, towel, water bottle, wallet and phone. It has a hook in the main pocket that can be used to hang the bag on a chain link fence or left inside the bag to hold your car keys. It is made of a durable canvas like fabric. I bought this for my kids for travel( 9yo& 11yo boys), so they could carry a water bottle, sunglasses, deck of cards, etc. I may borrow it from them on occasion, since it ’s more functional than my Osprey Daylite sling. Love that it fits a 24oz Stanley Aerolight comfortably, while still being able to accommodate all the essentials. I tested it out with 24oz insulated bottle, medium wallet, keys, sunglasses in hard case, sunscreen, 1st aid kit, brush, hand sanitizer, chapstick, AirPods, packable grocery bag& phone. It also fits a 1. 5liter hydration pack for hiking, although I didn ’ t test it filled, but seemed to still have good capacity. If you need to loosen the strap, the mesh pocket( which fits an iPhone 11Pro in silicon case) shifts pretty high on your shoulder, so becomes more awkward to access while wearing. The strap can switch to either side, so my lefty kids can switch to their preferred side. My only recommendations, the key leash could be a little longer& the “ secure ” inside pocket is hard to get my medium sized wallet in/out. A zipper that went end to end would be easier with maybe a clip& loop to secure it. I like the external clip that secures both the water bottle from falling out and the front zippered pocket from theft. We ’ ll be road testing this in a few weeks at Yellowstone hiking.

This is the most convenient bag I have tried out for carrying enough equipment for an enjoyable afternoon of pickleball. It easily holds a couple of paddles, balls, towel, water bottle, wallet and phone. It has a hook in the main pocket that can be used to hang the bag on a chain link fence or left inside the bag to hold your car keys. It is made of a durable canvas like fabric. So expect it to last a while. I have had mine for a four years of playing a couple of times per week. And it looks like new. The one I just bought is going to my grandson. Nicely designed with respect to pockets. There are actually 7 separate compartments: 1. Side pouch( perfect for 2 balls or a water bottle) 2. Wide long pouch for up to 3 paddles( maybe 4 if the narrow long pouch is n't used for anything bulky 3. Narrow long pouch, useful for gloves and sun visor 4. Back side small zipper pouch( I keep lip balm, bandaids, and hand warmers in there) 5. Back side full width pouch( velcro closure at halfway point) is useful as it will allow me to stick an extra regular sized disposable water bottle in one half of it. Also useful for anything extra that I just want to shove in there temporarily to get to and from the car. 6. Upper front zipper pouch good for thin things( holds my slim credit card wallet and keys) 7. Lower front zipper pouch( can accommodate thicker items like sunglasses if only 1 or 2 paddles are in the bag) Zippers are smooth and easy.
