Have only hit balls at the range, but so far these clubs feel VERY solid and the looks are great. Can ’ t wait to take to the course

5 Jim323
Purchased four weeks ago and hit them straighter than any iron I have ever used. Last four rounds were 75, 66, 72, 69 today. Not bad for a 75 year old with 66 years of golf played. Would give them six stars ⭐️

5 Rocketman
I bought these irons a few weeks ago. Love the look and feel. Higher loft makes for higher shots that stop quicker but you don ’ t lose distance.

5 Mfraley
Irons of the year! Went from the rogues to these and you can definitely feel the difference. Got 20yds more on most clubs and really love the feeling when compressing.

5 TheJasonMarcum
Hit these in a hitting bay at Dicks and ordered the following week. Callaway cracked the code with these, the perfect combination of looks, feel, and forgiveness. The sound is less `` clicks '' than any other game improvement iron. They feel and sound more like a forged players iron. I can work them left, right, and flight shots at will even with the added forgiveness. The best part is I 've been playing these for about 2 months now and I do n't get the old `` game improvement flyer '' with these irons. Im a 7 handicap and I can see these being perfectly suited for mid to low handicap golfers. Best irons of 2025 100%.

5 freddieb1988
I was fitted into the Elyte irons back in April. I play between a 16- 18 handicap so needed something with some extra forgiveness but hate the chunky look of most game improvement irons. The sleek design and thinner topline caught my eye immediately. The clubhead I would give 5 stars all day, but the stock shaft was a little too light for me, and low kick point caused the ball to fly a little to high for the windy conditions I see living near the ocean. I would highly recommend this club for anyone looking for distance, accuracy, and forgiveness, but suggest seeing a fitter to make sure you get into the best shaft for your game.

5 Skad

Just was fit for these clubs by a Callaway master fitter at my club. The irons are made for a slower swing golfer and produce good height, distance, dispersion, and forgiveness. They are so easy to swing.

I never thought about replacing my Epic Forged Star irons unit I went to a Callaway Demo Day at my club and tried the Elyte Max Fast Irons and Hybrids. I hit them at the range and shot a 77 the first round of golf that I played with them! I am looking for years of enjoyment!

I was playing mizuno blades for 20 years and switched to these last year and am amazed at the feel, dispersion and length. Great job ping!! Love these irons.

5 Bodacious
Went and had a custom fitting at 2nd Swing in Minnetonka three weeks ago. These irons were not even on my radar, Drew Bosely, my fitter put these in my hand after swinging the G430 and i530 irons. The trackman confirmed what I felt and saw, the dispersion and accuracy was phenomenal. Played my 1st round with them yesterday and they are as advertised, was pin high with all of my shots at the greens and their stopping power is amazing. If you are in the market for new sticks, try these out and wo n't be disappointed. I 'm a bogey golfer and have no doubt this will help me bring my average score down to the low to mid 80s.

5 Strav
Upgraded from the Ping G430s. May not be as long because of the loft difference, but definitely feel they are more accurate.

I bought these Elyte X irons a few weeks ago are the ones I ’ ve been looking for the last two years. They ’ re everything I ’ ve been looking for, long and accurate and they ’ re beautiful on top of thatt.

5 2011blaster
I got fitted for these back in May after recovering from a back injury. I was n't hitting my Mizuno 223 as well after the injury, needed something easier to hit at a slower swing speed. Over a couple of months I 've found the Elyte X are just friendly clubs to hit. Using Denali graphite shafts, and the feel is surprisingly good for a hollow club. Despite the strong lofts, they launch nicely and hold greens well which is what surprises me the most. My only complaints are that they are chunky behind the ball, but that may be reassuring to a higher handicapper. Genuinely happy with these clubs! I 'm itching to go back to Mizuno, but not because these are

5 Kristian19
Purchased this 5i to go with the 6- AW set I bought. These irons are great and forgiving. Was able to order it customized with the grips I use.

5 cal63
I typically do n't leave reviews, so if I 'm doing this then it must be for something special. I 'm a senior, 63 yo with a pretty good game still- 7- iron is about 145- 150 and driver is around 225. I 've had a hard time finding clubs that fit me- either the regular flex is a tad to heavy, or the senior flex is just not right due to either the flex or weight, and sometime I feel the larger heads do n't suit my game, but on the other hand I want all the help and forgiveness I can get. I want my irons to go far, travel straight, be lightweight, comfortable and easy to swing, and I want them to be consistent. Good looking is nice, but performance is the most important thing to me, I 'll sacrifice pretty much anything as long as the clubs do what I want them to. Not to imply these are not good looking- I think they look great, but better yet the performance is off the charts for me. I have the 55g Denali 5. 0 light flex shafts and they 're absolutely perfect for me. I can really swing these pretty hard and go after the ball with no worries, but they do n't feel too stiff either( unlike the Aldila Ascent 50g senior flex shafts which are like boards!) When you make pure contact there's like a `` crunch '' and then you feel the ball compress and look up in admiration and wonder `` did I just hit that? '' These things go really high, and really far. I 've had turf interaction trouble in the past with larger oversized heads on SGI irons, but not so with the Elyte X irons- in fact for the first time ever I feel I can really hit down on the ball without fear of digging or hitting it fat, the ball just gets up. I 'm usually a picker of the ball, but not so with these- hit down and it will go up! I 'm loving these clubs a lot- most actual game improving set I 've ever bought- they are really making a significant difference in my game and it's a lot more fun!

5 Jimmy jam
I bought these clubs a few weeks ago! Had Callaway paradym x irons! They are a at least a club and a half longer! Hitting my irons high and pure! Installed a graphite light weight shaft and as a senior golfer, I really appreciate they extra distance!

5 Club Boss
As a certified club fitter& club tech, who ’s familiar with TM ’s competitor class clubs, the QIHL irons with Fujikara 50 GM graphite senior shaft are a brilliant fit for senior golfers. Light, easy to swing- the ball launches HOT off the face! You won ’ t be disappointed.

5 Chris Coffee
Irons are the most balanced irons I have swung in my 20 years of playing golf. Driver needs to be tweaked. Stealth 2 Driver is better and more forgiving in my opinion. Putter is best putter I have used thus far. Rolls true.

5 dontshankit
I just got into golf about 9 mo. ago- I 'm currently a 27 hdcp, and struggled to hit my 7i 130- 140yds previously. I was looking to get out of my previous Callaway Edge box set that had graphite shafts. They became too light for me and I wanted to grow into a new set of irons as I navigate swing changes and proper technique. During my fitting I did n't have a specific brand in mind, to be honest these were n't even on my radar. After testing out 4- 5 brands it was a tight race between the Ping G440's and the Elyte's. I found the Elyte irons were exactly what I was looking for. They check all the boxes: look, feel, and sound great. These irons have a slimmer profile compared to most game improvement irons out there yet offer an insane amount of forgiveness. They definitely have a softer feel off the face, almost like they 're forged. I got my goal yardage from these clubs and it was a done deal after that. Ironically enough my set arrived a few hours before my first tee time of this early season. Quite the way to break in a new set of irons. They did GREAT on the course considering the actual course conditions for mid march Midwest weather. Whether you 're new to golf or a mid to high handicapper looking for your next set, definitely give these a try.

I ordered these irons 3 weeks ago and just got them. Played them right away and holy moly changed my game the first time. Took 10 shots off my off my score. Broke 90 for the first time. My friends were impressed and will probably purchase these irons themselves. The sweet sound and high lofts were I was able to see them at work. I highly recommend them.

Ended up deciding on these, have played 3 rounds with them, and have already seen a big improvement in my iron play. I am still a higher handicap player, but these are the most forgiving irons I have hit, and it shows on the course. Would recommend to any other higher handicap player.

5 Nickname 007
I am a 7. 2 handicap. Hit these clubs and fell in love with them. They look fantastic and have a nice feel without the harsh sound that some hollow body clubs produce. They are strong lofted so they are about 7- 8 yards longer than my previous set but still have enough spin and height to stop on the greens. I was torn between this club and the T200 and considered go with a mixed bag but in the end decided to go with the full set of T350's. My dispersion and distance control have met all my expectations. One thing to keep in mind is if you like to work the ball in either direction this may not be the right club for you and I would look at the T150's. Spin numbers and descent angle are good but not in player club territory IMO.

Having aged a bit since I purchased my last set of clubs, I decided it was time to make a change. I recently experienced a rental set of TaylorMade irons and was very pleased with the results. I decided to reach out to TaylorMade, via chat on their website to discuss which model would best fit my game, and they suggested the QI irons. This was definitely a good decision! I am hitting my new QI irons straighter, which of course is resulting in longer more accurate shots. It has gained me a renewed confidence in my game and I 'm very happy that I have made the decision to upgrade to these irons.

Purchased the Titleist iron to enhance my set of clubs and fill in the gap for distance on the fairways and long Par 3's. Great addition to the set.

Continuing to shave strokes off with this club. A true fairway- finder. If you can hit driving irons, definitely recommend. Looks good and ball comes off like butter.

My son loves this club! I didn ’ t think he needed it but it ’s a perfect fit to complete his set. He tried out several before deciding on this one. Thank you to the staff for helping him out.

About a month ago I love them, but they are definitely for a single digit handicap

I bought these a few weeks ago to upgrade from the old Mizuno 919s and these clubs feel, look, sound great. My only complaint with these is the same with any other new clubs the grips with having larger hands the jumbo grips are so much betters. Sucks to buy a new set and have to pay to have the right grips put on but oh well.

5 Charlie1001
A month into using these irons and I very pleased. they a great look and feel that let's me swing with confidence. I got these clubs to get a higher ball flight and they have really delivered. Excellent product.

53 and back to the sport after a 40 year break. Got these clubs as a gift and absolutely love them. They do a great job hiding all of my flaws. I highly recommend them.

5 CBT07
I been playing distance irons for five years.. unforgiving to say the least. My swing speed has drastically lowered as a result of getting older and a hip replacement. These irons are exactly what the doctor ordered, high launching and 10 yards longer. Good job Callaway.

5 Mick
I love the irons. Never have I hit a graphite shaft in an iron with suck a great feel. I would recommend these irons for a senior golfer.

I ’ ve had these irons for a month and I really, really love them. An upgrade from my 921HM. Granted I had the wrong shaft in my previous set, DG105, had trouble getting them up in the air. I opted for the Nippon 950Neo on the new HMP after a Mizuno fitting at GG. A little lighter and higher launching, combined with hotter face and slightly stronger loft equals a dream set of irons for me. Nothing feels like a Mizuno. Can ’ t recommend more. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

5 Rob2daP1
I had a set of Taylor Made R7 irons and anted to try some of the newer models to see if the new technology made a difference. I did a club fitting and despite ChatGPT recommending these clubs based on my swing metrics and goals during my research, I didn ’ t plan on testing them because they were “ Mizuno ”. Coincidentally, the fitter recommended that I try this club as well and after consistently smacking it, there was no doubt. I ’ ve played several rounds with them and I have made more consistent contact and the ball flies 10- 15 yards further. Highly recommend!

Frequently Asked Questions For Long Irons

Long irons are typically characterized by their lower loft and longer shaft length, making them ideal for achieving greater distance. They are designed to hit the ball farther than mid or short irons, but they require more skill to control. Unlike other clubs, long irons are often used for longer approach shots or when hitting from the fairway.

Long irons are often made from a variety of materials, including stainless steel and carbon steel, which provide durability and a solid feel. Some models may incorporate advanced materials like titanium or composite materials to enhance performance and reduce weight. The choice of material can significantly affect the club's performance and feel during play.

When selecting long irons, consider factors such as your skill level, swing speed, and the type of course you typically play. It's important to evaluate the club's loft, shaft flex, and overall design to ensure it complements your playing style. Additionally, testing different models can help you find the right fit for your game.

Long irons are generally more challenging to hit consistently, making them better suited for intermediate to advanced players who have developed their skills. Beginners may find it easier to use hybrid clubs or shorter irons, which offer more forgiveness and higher launch angles. However, with practice, beginners can learn to use long irons effectively.

Long irons provide a lower trajectory and can offer more control on longer shots, making them advantageous for skilled players who can handle the precision required. They can also provide a more traditional feel and feedback during swings. In certain situations, such as hitting into the wind, long irons can be more effective than hybrids or shorter irons.

Improving accuracy and distance with long irons involves focusing on your swing mechanics, including grip, stance, and follow-through. Regular practice on the driving range can help you develop consistency and confidence with these clubs. Additionally, working with a golf instructor can provide personalized tips to enhance your performance with long irons.
