I bought these to use with my road bike, which has a cushioned but very narrow seat. If I go for a ride longer than 45 minutes, I usually am sore along my pubic bone. These shorts helped a lot with my 2 hour bike ride this weekend — no discomfort at all! I was also pleased with the fit. I ’ m 5 ’ 6 ”, 160lbs with most of the weight carried in my thighs, so I often have trouble finding shorts that don ’ t squeeze too much and don ’ t ride up. These were long enough that they grabbed my thigh at the narrowest part by the knee, and didn ’ t ride up because of the nonslip band around the leg opening. These have a mid rise, which is not what I normally go for because I ’ m afraid they will fall down, but these stayed put! I got a size M for reference.

[ My LG Fit Sensor 2 shorts I own are a little bit too small for me, so I bought the sensor 3 shorts 1 size larger than my sensor 2 shorts. One size larger turned out to be a perfect fit for me and the top band does not roll over. I found sensor 3 to be very comfortable and it feels like it might be a little bit lighter/cooler material than the sensor 2 shorts. To my surprise, the leg length is a little bit longer than the sensor 2 leg length, which is good. Also, the legs stay in place as I ride. I only ride 15- 20 miles, so I can not say how they are for long rides, but they are great for my use.

[ Everyone has a unique requirement for bike shorts. My requirement is that they are longish, have a high rise, do n't roll over at the waist, have a firm chamois, and be overall comfortable. These shorts tick off all my requirements. They are long and do not ride up, The waist sits at my waist so I am never trying to pull the up. The waist band are especially designed to not roll over. The chamois is just the correct firmness to provide cushioning yet not bottom out over bumps. Nothing else to say.
