Great shoe, it fits really well and Nike seems to have found it's way again by going back to basis. What stops me from giving 5/5 starts is that although it offers an excellent fell and fits like a glove around your foot, I would have liked better support/fit around the ankle( the opening seems to need a bit more cushioning like the Air Max has to offer). Maybe bring back the laces v- shape from older models, it used to offer a bit of a tighter fit. Overall great shoe, I would highly recommend!

These shoes are so much more padded and just as stable. I do n't know if I 'm crazy but I honestly feel better after playing with these shoes on. While the Vapor 9. 5's do feel lighter and faster I feel like my steps are bigger and stronger with the GP Challenge 1. End result, I think I am faster with these shoes on than with the old 9. 5's. If you 're a bigger player in the 6' 1 '' and taller range you 'll appreciate this shoe I think. I thought I was more of a size 12 in Nike but in this shoe I went with a 12. 5 after trying on some shoes at a local store. In pretty much any other shoe I wear a 12 but in this 12. 5 is definitely the correct fit.

I 've been struggling to find women's court shoes that have a wide enough toe box to be comfortable for my bunions and large side bone. These are very roomy and the fact they they have only mesh in some areas which adds for a softer feel for messed up feet like mine. Great stability and control. Of all of the current Nike tennis shoes for women, these are the ones that find the balance of stability without being too heavy or clunky. The GP Challenge Pro is the best shoes for anyone playing hardcourt 3+/week. For me, the Zooms are too flexible- there are n't any brakes when you sprint and change direction on hardcourt in the Zooms. Plus the sole of the Zoom wears out too quickly, I replaced them every two months because the tread was gone. The Zooms triggered plantar fasciitis when I wore them because my feet were working too hard in the loose, flexible shoe. A competitor of mine broke her foot the first time she wore the Zooms. First short ball she sprinted from the baseline and broke her foot. No stability. The Osaka's are CUTE but are far too heavy and not breathable enough for a long singles match. Enter the GP Challenge Pro. The upper has reinforcement at the midsole to keep you locked in. It prevents you from sliding through the toe when you are sweaty and chasing short balls. The tread is hearty and holds up with frequent hardcourt use- I am replacing mine every 6 months which is typical if not a little longer than usual. And the sole has an athletic contour with little give that makes the shoe very responsive. They are such a good shoe that you never have to think about them. My only gripe about them is the CHEAP insole. It is so laughably bad it ruins the shoe. I end up using the Sof Sole athletic gel insole. It is easier on the joints and prevents blisters and bunching than the sole provided. With the replacement insole it is a 5 star shoe.

Bought these for outdoor hard court Pickleball play. Great support and stability for my foot, very comfortable and I like the traction I get with quick movements side to side and forwards/backward; but not `` sticky. '' I play a couple of hours four to five times per week and durability on the upper and sole seems to be good thru 2 months of use. Not really sure this is a negative, I think the shoe is heavy at over 14 ounces per shoe. Bottom line: I will purchase these shoes again when it's time for a new pair.

I am a strong tennis player and typically hit 3- 4 times per week and average 2 hours per session. These shoes are the most comfortable and durable shoes I have found in the Nike tennis shoe line- up. I like the extra cushioning around the toe box and under foot, because of the cushioning this is one of the heavier shoes in the line- up but worth the compromise for me. Only downside I have found on the two pairs that I have worn through, the fabric around the outer foot begins to separate from the outer sole after a few months and before the outer sole is completely worn, which compromises the shoe integrity. Typically I have to order 1/2 size up in Nike and that was not the case with these. Overall a great shoe!

I talked myself down from buying a proper tennis shoe for a long time. I reasoned that I have plenty of `` athletic '' shoes and am not a `` competitive '' player. I wish I had n't. These feel so much better on the court and will be much more durable. I wear a size 12 in most shoes, but I feel like I could have gotten away with an 11. 5 in these. If you like a `` snugger '' fit, that is something to consider.

I bought these since my knees were hurting from lack of lateral support with my current court shoes. They are very tight when you first put them on. You might even think they are way too small. I usually wear a 7. 5 or 8 depending on the brand. I got the 8. I tried on the 8. 5 and they felt better in the store but were too long. After wearing them for one round robin, I am thrilled that I bought these. I do wear thin socks and use a shoe horn to get them on. I get lots of comments about how cute/nice they are also. Be prepared that these shoes do not give much but they are great for this sport.

The first tennis shoe I have worn not requiring a significant break- in period. There was no need for mid- match Band- aids or doubling up on socks. The wide- set shoelace holes allows me to easily customize the fit yet does n't impact the toe box. Padding and support around the ankles and reinforced mid- sole gave fantastic trusting stability yet the shoe was surprisingly flexible and still felt lightweight at the end of a long day of playing.
