Muck really knocked it out of the park with this boot. The fit is great, but the function is top shelf! If you ’ re riding in the winter and need a bit of warmth these are the only way to go. I can put my spurs on them. They slide in and out of a stirrup well. I really hope this becomes one of Muck ’s mainstay boots. It ’s really well built and well designed.

I have no intention of using these boots for riding or cleaning stalls. I will use them for Winter Walk and forays in the forests and beaches shooting( photography) wildlife. I took them out for our first snowfall walk. They are comfortable and warn. It was 20 degrees and I wore only a dress weight alpaca sock. My feet were never cold. There was plenty room for me to wear a heavier weight sock. I did encounter some wet spots along the marsh and my feet were totally dry. I will note that these boots do not have lug soles, so they were slick walking up snow covered steep slopes. This is not a knock on these boots for me. I have Yaktrax Diamond grips and Kahtoola Micro Spikes- both fit over these beefier boot. I love the ease of slipping into with the optional pull tabs( which I didn ’ t need to use.). The last pair of “ rubber boots ” I owned were snug to pull on. The liner is great. I ’ m sure these will be what the doctor ordered for my Winter Adventures. I wear 10. 5 Wide typically. The 11 and Medium width were perfect.

So far, I 've used them for outdoor walking in the rain, during summer and they 're great. The tall hight makes sure water and mud do n't splash in. They decently cushion my feet for long walks. Not gon na ruin a marathon in them, but that's not what they were designed for either. They do exactly what I got them for and do it well.

Second pair of these boots. Wish they came in half sizes. We put an insert in them and they fit better though. Freest boot that fits snug to the calf without cutting off circulation. Important if you are weed whacking and don ’ t want a bunch of grass down your boot! Super comfy and keeps feet cooler than the cheap black boots. I had a pair of Carhartt boots prior to these and the carhartts only lasted 6 months. I 've had these Timberland Pro's for almost 3 years now. They break in fast, comfortable to walk in all day. They 're really warm in the winter, not too hot in the summer. Very good water proofing. Slip resistant is very good for oils, hydraulic fluid, fuel, aircraft de- ice fluid. There are only 2 complaints I have; the oem laces are complete trash and so are the oem insoles. The soles lasted me only 8 months and laces tore in like 6 months. Buy better insoles and Kevlar laces. I 've dropped parts& tools on my foot and did n't feel a thing. These are also really good boots for welding and using cutting torches. 10/10 must have boot for mechanics. UPDATE 7/20/24: the boots are STILL GOOD AFTER 4 YEARS of daily abuse in all climates and conditions. These are the only work boots I will buy the rest of my life. UPDATE 11/23/24: The boots lost their waterproofing. Ordered a new pair. I will forever only buy these Timberland Boondock boots!!

I got these 2 years ago and yesterday I was at the beach with my wife. I wore these boots to the Santa Monica beach in CA. Before you ask, I hate sandals and shorts, I will not wear them. As I walked with my wife by the shore, I avoided the waves because I did not want my boots to get wet. Well, my wife was enjoying the ocean water when she thought it would be funny to hold me in place as the wave hit my boots. They got wet and submerged to about the 6 '' mark. My feet were dry. I was confused and surprised, they did not let any ocean water in at all. So I figured, why not and I pushed it further, with about 3 second intervals of waves, they survived. Until the water went above the 8 inch height and then my socks got wet, which is understandable. So I wanted to write a review because it deserved a review because it did a great job preventing water from getting in. It was kind of fun to be honest but the salt is not great afterwards.

I work in a steel warehouse for a ten hours a day and comfort is a must for me. I have been wearing these boots for the past five months and since day these boots have been the most comfortable boots ever. The first day I wore here boots for my full shift without problems and these boots felt like they had been worked in for months before. I have had a 800+ pound hot rolled steel bar( scaled from the foundry and roughed outside covering) fall and give a glancing blow to my left heel and there wasn ’ t any marks on the heel of the boot. I 've worn these a few times a month for about five months now and I 'm impressed by their waterproof ability. Recently I had to work for several hours out in the rain and every layer I was wearing ended up soaked- but my socks and feet stayed dry! Construction wise I 'm concerned about how hard they are to pull on- I 'm afraid they 'll wear out at the heel early.

My foot size is 8. 5 regular. The boot size is the same but it feels `` spacious ''. Not too long or short or even wide but ample- enough to accommodate a thick sock. My advice would be that if your foot is low volume or on the small side of the size like mine, order down, if your foot is high volume, order your size, and if your foot is on the high side, order up. A size 8 might have been perfect for me but might not have been roomy enough for thick socks. It's a trade off. The boot leather is super thick but the boots were comfortable right out of the box. No break in required. So far they 're holding up well. The steel toe has not been a problem in the winter cold or summer heat. It is not a factor except when a chunk of wood slips out of my tired hands. I had to learn the need of a steel toe the hard way. I only wish Timberland attached a pull loop to the heel. They put one on their loafers but not on a 6 '' boot. Unusual. A loop would help with the on/off process. What would also help would be lace hooks in place off the top two lace holes. With lace holes the laces have to be pulled down and out to loosen them to widen the boot for removal. You ca n't just kick these boots off. Neither of the above nit picks is a deal breaker. I love these waffle stompers.

I 've had this boot for 2 weeks and it has held up well with hourly patrols which total around 15, 000- 20, 000 steps a day. Pair it with compression socks or nicely padded merino wool socks and you wo n't have any foot pain at all. I am sad to admit I am sitting in my work truck with my boots off because my feet are soaked after 4 hours of work... my rain pants busted out the whole rear end from the poor seams. I broke them in by walking 5. 8 miles afterwork on the boardwalk in Ocean City in the dead of winter, my walking club would laugh at me, and I ’ d be a liar if I said it wasn ’ t tough.. I expected a break- in period but these blacksmiths were comfortable out of the box. Soft but supportive and the fit was perfect for me. No chafing, roomy but not loose. The traction was good even in wet weather. And they are fine to wear even during hot and humid days where I live. Chose the copper rough and tough because I think the look is so classic and understated. Love the versatility as well. Can use them with just about every pair of pants and( even shorts) in my closet. I wear them almost everyday and feel they ’ ll stand up to all the walking I do. Well worth the price and looking forward to picking up more Red Wing boots down the line.
