I 've been buying these boots to wear for my landscaping business for as long as I can remember.( over 15 years?) They are comfortable after a day of brake in. I apply one coat of weather seal when I buy them. I wear them over 12 hours a day and they last about 6 to 8 months. I like that they are n't steel toes, and that the tread on the sole does n't disturb the soil very much, but has good traction. I like to buy two at a time so I can alternate wearing them. Love my Rangers. As a tool maker, I 'm on my feet at least 8 hours a day. Once I lace up my boots they do n't come off for about 12 hrs. I could n't be happier with them!

I bought factory 2nds from a buddy and I could n't tell you the difference between those and the 1st. A little cleaning and conditioning and it looked brand spanking new. I got these in a 7D. For some odd reason, they fit very similar to my pair of Beckmans which are a 7. 5D. Both are a touch loose at the toes. Maybe I 'm a 6. 5 in Redwings. No problem though, I threw in a pair of insoles for my Iron Rangers and they fit like a glove now. If you have a store near you, I highly suggest going in person to get sized. The leather is of fantastic quality. Great overall look and feel. I highly recommend this iconic boot! My next purchase are the Roughnecks.

I have 3 pairs of Iron Rangers in various colors, with the black harness being my most recent purchase. Once broken in, there is simply not a better overall boot on the market for both style and quality. They do run big, so try them on before you buy. My first pair of IRs were a 9. 5 and still fit relatively well, but I 've realized that I 'm a 9 in most pairs. Try them on and give them some real time to break in. You wo n't regret it.

They are water resistant and can be easily cleaned after a muddy hike! Just make sure to wear tall socks with them.

I 've become a fan of slip- on boots, but the quality of my `` go- to '' brand has declined. I found these on the Internet, read the reviews and ordered them. I wear an 8. 5 W, and out of the box my widest foot was a tad tight. However, the boot stretched pretty quickly and within a day they were perfect. I took the dog for a hike the day I got them, and the boots did n't need any break- in time- perfect out of the box! They are also 100% waterproof, as advertised.
