The zipper and zipper pulls are also surprisingly sturdy and great quality for being a very light weight jacket. The design of the jacket is super cool and interesting, there's a few handfuls of design elements that make it stand out more than just a plain black jacket- definitely looks very modern with the color blocking of a very dark grey and black fabric, and the subtle Nike logo stitched in black on the back. The fabric has a windbreaker feel to it, which can be a little noisy during a run, but I prefer it as protection against weather elements. The weather has not been cooperating for me to test this jacket out with long runs( spring, where are you?!) but I have taken a few short walks/runs while wearing it and absolutely love it. I love how thin and lightweight the jacket is while still providing warmth and comfort. I love the oversized fit and design elements. The only thing I personally would have added would be a hood but still think it's great without one.

I was between either a medium or large( I 'm 5ft4in and 155 lbs for reference) and went with the large but I think a medium would work for me if I wanted less of an oversized look. I like the black/gray/reflective design, there's details you do n't even notice at first glance like the reflective `` Nike '' above one pocket. The fabric feels like it will be perfect protection from the chill of the wind on a sporting day! And I love the 2 way zipper and the spacious pockets! I think the only tub i would change would be to put zippers on the pockets so items could stay secure. Overall I think it's a great jacket that will be versatile, from going for a run, to running errands!

happy with this jacket. i used at mt Bachelor for four days. it was cold week but i never got cold, in fact i had to open vents. i 'm 6' 1 '' and its very comfortable fit. hood its true helmet compatible. main zipper sometimes was stubborn but manageable. i would improve the top of inside part of zipper where Gore- Tex material is touching your face/ mouth when hood is over the helmet by putting softer cloth material, maybe even this piece could be removable for often cleaning. overall good jacket.

If you ’ re an outdoor enthusiast where you ’ ll be out for an extended time in- 0 temps, I ’ d look for a different jacket. This one is stylish and plenty warm for short times out in mild winter weather. I normally wear a large in clothing but typically size up in coats so I bought an XL. It fits perfect and I didn ’ t have the sleeve length issue as I saw in other reviews.( Just a note; Id say my arms are normal in length). This jacket is more than I could have hoped for. I operate a snowplow at a ski resort at night during storms clearing parking lots. When I get out of the tractor into what is frequently a howling blizzard, this keeps me warm, sealed and protected. It's loose enough that I can wear layers underneath if it's really cold and the whole thing is lined with nylon so there is no binding at all. The hood and zipper come up to just the right place on my chin to be functional without hindering. And when it's wet snow or rain, it runs right off and I stay dry. Amazingly comfortable. There is nothing about this jacket that I do n't like. Bravo Carhartt!
