I got this anorak as a present last year and I love it. You may hear or read comments from different people saying that it does n't work as a raincoat and they are absolutely right, but neither does a dress shoe work as a running shoe. The G- 1000 fabric works perfectly under heavy duty conditions, you wont need to repair this coat anytime soon and when the first hole appears you 'll be counting the years you 've had it with both hands. Apply Greenland wax( properly) if you want some resistance to light rain and windy days but do n't expect it to perform as a rubber raincoat because it's not made out of rubber nor is it a raincoat. Absolutely recommend this product.

It's basically perfect. I can see why people unfamiliar with Fjallraven g- 1000 and their philosophy around waxing might be upset that it's not giving them Gore- Tex performance, but that's exactly why I like it. I have all kinds of membranes for situations where I 'm trapped in downpours, but the thing I love about this anorak is that it's breathable and durable, and if I so please, I can add wax( which ins't what I want-- this is an urban jacket for me). All the details are spot on; I like the firm grip of the snap that allows you to use the size zipper to dump heat rapidly. There's no silver bullet all- situations jacket out there, so it's not the fault of this product that people have specific qualities it never attempts to pitch. I love mine, and no, will not be using it as a rain jacket.

[ A fantastic anorak for this time of year in south central Alaska. Pit zips are really unnecessary on this piece as it seems to vent rather well. Perfect for the high 20s- mid 40s temperatures. Handles most, drizzle just fine. The cuffs could be better but that ’s a small inconvenience. I would have purchased a second one if they ’ d offered it in the sun yellow with blue trim. [ This is my new go- to lightweight jacket, it's so versatile! The oversized fit makes it super comfortable to wear either on it's own or as a layering piece when more warmth is needed. The zipper and zipper pulls are also surprisingly sturdy and great quality for being a very light weight jacket. The design of the jacket is super cool and interesting, there's a few handfuls of design elements that make it stand out more than just a plain black jacket- definitely looks very modern with the color blocking of a very dark grey and black fabric, and the subtle Nike logo stitched in black on the back. The fabric has a windbreaker feel to it, which can be a little noisy during a run, but I prefer it as protection against weather elements. The weather has not been cooperating for me to test this jacket out with long runs( spring, where are you?!) but I have taken a few short walks/runs while wearing it and absolutely love it. I love how thin and lightweight the jacket is while still providing warmth and comfort. I love the oversized fit and design elements. The only thing I personally would have added would be a hood but still think it's great without one.

[ I 'm very impressed by this jacket! It will be a perfect spring jacket for when the weather starts to warm up. I was between either a medium or large( I 'm 5ft4in and 155 lbs for reference) and went with the large but I think a medium would work for me if I wanted less of an oversized look. I like the black/gray/reflective design, there's details you do n't even notice at first glance like the reflective `` Nike '' above one pocket. The fabric feels like it will be perfect protection from the chill of the wind on a sporting day! And I love the 2 way zipper and the spacious pockets! I think the only tub i would change would be to put zippers on the pockets so items could stay secure. Overall I think it's a great jacket that will be versatile, from going for a run, to running errands!

Bought this on line and it was a little thicker material than i thought it would be but i am glad it is. Wore it on a rainy day and although not advertised as water resistant it repelled the drizzle just fine. I have fairly wide shoulders and the XL was a perfect fit.

This is a quality rain jacket- durable and I love the look. The kangaroo pocket adds something different from your average rain jacket and looks great! This is the perfect jacket for hiking as the front pouch has a secret zipper pocket to store keys and bars for the day. I ’ ve had the chance to use it through several storms already and stayed dry every time! I found that it fits true to size.

I wore this the other day in 25+ mph wind gusts. I wore it over my flannel shirt and it was comfortable enough to pull over my existing clothing choice. The jacket was very easy to pull over existing clothes. As a bonus, it ’s also easy to take off and it doesn ’ t rip off your existing clothing when you pull it over your head. The jacket is a bit wider, but that ’s so it can fit over your existing clothes. The bottom has string you can tie up to cinch the jacket for a tighter and more wind- resistant fit so it won ’ t flop around in the wind gusts. The hood also has a string for the same purpose. The jacket held up pretty good in the wind. I ’ d imagine if it was much colder it wouldn ’ t be that great. But it was in the 50s with a lot of wind. It appears to be a good choice for a rain situation, but was unable to test that out. I would definitely recommend this jacket for hiking, camping, or any even on the golf course.

The blue color on this jacket is very appealing and not too flashy. This jacket has a little bit of structure and white to it, but not too much that you feel like it is bulky and you can not move. This jacket is able to reduce wind cutting through to you and is water resistant.

Yes, this is a cropped boxy fit and runs a bit big. As long as you know that going into the purchase you won ’ t be disappointed. It ’s a FP dupe and a pretty good one( better than ones I found on Amazon). I am usually between a S and M and will often go with M in items like this to layer. But after reading reviews, I went with a S and I ’ m very happy. I can still layer under it but it ’s not too long, the sleeves are perfect and it ’s just baggy enough to be cute. I ’ m 5 ’ 3 ” and 145 for reference. I got the green and I like it but be warned it ’s a color that changes drastically depending on the light. Sometimes it looks darker or lighter and sometimes it pulls blue and almost looks teal. I ’ m considering buying in a second color because so far it has felt pretty warm and comfy to me.

First off, the product does not have a hood& the cuffs/hood/hem do not have cinch capability. That being said I love this! The hem is shorter in front, longer in back. I am 5 ’ 9 ” about 125lbs( and small chested) and go between small& medium tops. I ordered a small& feel it fits great with room to wear a hoodie underneath for fall/winter/spring hiking if needed. I also love the dual pocket in front! I cant wait to put it to good use!
