They are very comfy wearing them all day on the water. They 're also very grippy without any studs. They are true to size so make sure when you order them you order the correct size, I normally ordered size 11 which were snug and got 12s and they are a little bit big but still usable.

Used them for a week long trip that was mostly walk/wading and in and out of a drift boat. The grip is great and the lightweight feel of the boots makes them very comfortable. Not much of a break in period though the ankles are a little stiff at first. Can definitely feel the softer inner sole grip the pointed rocks compared to the stiffer outer sole, which helps them feel a bit like hiking boots. Would highly recommend them.

I had a pair of Muckmaster boots and they lasted for 4 winters of daily dog walks, maintaining their waterproof quality even after the sole of one boot started to come away. My wife bought me a pair of these Arctic Sport boots and apart from the logo at first sight they appear( and fit) identical to the Muckmasters. The extra thermal protection does not change the fit. I wear them over 10 hours a day and they treat my feet very well. I will say I do have to have the wide boot even though my feet do n't seem much wider than anyone else's.

Needed a new pair of steel or composite toe work boots so went to a Bass Pro Shop on a specific mission for Keen boots. Wore non- ST Keens years ago and always like the look so thought I 'd try the ST version. Unfortunately Keen now runs wide and were exceptionally heavy... disappointing. Tried on about 8 pairs of boots from 4 different manufacturers and a price range from low 100's to 300+. Carhart,( or as we say in the northeast- Cah- haht) Millbrook CT was the clear winner both in price, comfort, and cool ol' school look. Literally bought them last night and wore them all day today and they felt like I 've owned them for years. If these were available in low cut, I would have bought those too. I prefer a boot that hugs the foot( see prior reviews) so this was perfect for me and very comfortable immediately. You 'll notice the single lace hook at the top so 95% full lace support is excellent, unobtrusive, and again, sooo comfortable. Appearance is a 5; Durability is admittedly unknown as this is my first pair, but based on initial observation, these should last for a while; Quality is definitely a 5; Functionality is a 5... for me. Well first off these are Lightweight and at the end of the day you don ’ t feel like a horse shedding a saddle. They slip off and my feet feel great. I did put my arch supports in and these boots picked up where my other Georgia boots left off. The soles of the boots grip well on many surfaces and the tops have a nice feel and not too restrictive also. I ordered a half size bigger, since I wear wool soaks for added cushion on my feet. Now the only draw back is I wish they were a little narrower by a little. These feel like they are wide instead of a standard width. Again, my wool soaks help make up for some of the looseness but it is not a deal breaker by no means. Thus far for everyday work boots for someone who is on their feet a lot on concrete, these have done really well.

I ’ m on my second Canadian winter with these. Very warm, very comfortable. They ’ re tall, almost up to my knee, and fit snug around my leg( though not “ tight ”) so as not to have huge gaps where snow can get in. The Vibram Ice sole works — good traction on slippery surfaces. Note, however, these boots are not light, nor are they flexible like cheap boots — there ’ ll be no trips strolling in the mall with these. These are serious boots for serious cold.

I bought my xtra tuff boots a few years ago for kayaking and then we moved and now have chickens and a creek. My boots have held up inside and out and are still waterproof. I wear them outside every day in the woods and doing chores to protect from ticks, keep mud on one set of shoes, mowing, protect from water and all my outdoor activities. I 've been researching hiking boots for several months and Asolo's products kept coming up over and over as the premier choice among experienced hikers. I was impressed by the loyalty of Asolo customers, and liked the look and reported performance of the Asolo Fugitive GTX Boot. Initially, I purchased the same size as my other boots, a 9 1/2. Upon the first test fit, I knew they were too small and returned the pair for a half size larger. The size 10 fit perfectly, but I will caution that these boots run a bit narrow( I do not have particularly large feet). Asolo thoughtfully offers `` wide '' sizes as well. I christened my new pair of Fugitives by taking a 33 mile trek on the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina in early March. The trail had a good bit of snow, ice and mud. Temperatures during the three day trip ranged from 17 to 64 degrees( F), and included periods of rain and snow. The boots performed beautifully in terms of thermal and waterproof qualities. Also, these boots are very easy to put on, which is a plus when going for that 1am potty run in the cold. My only criticism of the design is that the insole is made of an extremely hard material. By day three, the balls of my feet were hurting pretty badly, and definitely detracted from the enjoyment of my trip. Adding an extra layer of socks helped marginally. I 've never experienced this problem before, so, upon arriving back home, I compared the insole to that in my older boots. Big difference; my older( HiTec) boots( which are falling apart after 15 years) have a much softer insole. I love the Asolo Fugitive GTX Boot, but will definitely add a gel insole prior to my next trip. These are, by far, the nicest( and most expensive) hiking boots I 've ever owned, and would definitely recommend them to others, but with the cautions regarding the sizing and insole material. I hope to add a couple thousand comfortable miles to these boots in the years to come.

These shoes are so comfortable. Doesn ’ t really need break in time. Most leather requires some time( a few days) to get soften. These felt like running shoes, yet offering ankle support. Beware though. They are waterproof and not as breathable as running shoes. So it ’s a little too warm. The soles are soft too. Luckily the Vibram offers more traction and durability than standard running shoes. However, it ’s squeaky on tile floors when wet. Good purchase.

I have had these boots for about 6months now. They look amazing and has been a very durable, I build houses from foundation to the roof so I say all environments and these have done well. The waterproofing has seem to do good so far but with winter coming I ’ ll really put them to the test. As for fit they do run tight, I even got a 10W and it ’s still pretty snugged on the sides, I ’ m assuming that ’s to get the square to incorporated in them that causes that. I would suggest maybe ordering a half size bigger than normal. Traction is pretty good for the everyday wear and work, if you ’ re going to be on hill sides all day this boot isn ’ t for you. Protection wise the boot had done great, the leather still looks fairly new and no sign of wearing out on me, which is a plus ’s That ’s my only gripe so far. As expected another great boot

Columbia is by far my favorite brand of hiking boots/shoes because they always just fit me really well, and this boot is no exception. The Newton Wander is a good looking and comfortable hiking boot. I do n't feel like it needed any break in period, and I wore mine as my daily drivers until the arches were shot. I always left them tied, but could get them on and off quickly by looping the laces on and off of the top couple sets of hooks. Even after they were worn out and the soles were worn down, I kept them around and wore them a couple more times to do some landscaping work and rebuild a retaining wall in my back yard. They can really take a beating!

Got these in low top. These are great! Coming off a pair of Moab 2 lows for hiking I feel these are a definite upgrade in looks and comfort. I think Merrell hit the nail on the head with the styling, I actually am tempted just to wear these as a daily without hiking in them, I do n't want to get them dirty! They look fantastic with jeans. Also note that these leather ones are more comfortable than the Speed 2 Goretex version... I tried on that pair and the cut outs for the ankle were higher and rubbed my ankle. There is no rubbing on these, however they are slightly heavier than the Speed 2 goretex. I imagine because this uses leather.
