They are so comfortable for me I wear them on every job, even sites where steel toes are n't required. These boots are ok, just not what I thought they were. The leather in the pic seems to be the softer suede type material, but they are actually the slick type of leather that is very stiff. They do not have the broke- in feeling right out of the box. Because they are stiff it's not that easy to lace them up tightly. The sole seems very comfortable, but I do n't think I 'll keep them.

Which works better “ could ’ ve used a few more inches to be right. My newest pair came with even shorter laces. 55 in.. which is obviously worse. This is not a good place to scrimp on qaulity for such a good boot.

here's how much i love these boots. for the last 2 decades they have been on a constant rotation: oldest to still- in- the- box. as the oldest worn- out pair rotate out into the garbage( after years), the next pair moves to oldest slot for really dirty work, and i open the box for the newest pair for general wear. as soon as that box is opened, i order the next box. so, i always have a ratty pair, a semi ratty pair, a new pair, and a boxed pair. they are everyday wear, work& non- work, on& off the motorcycle. highly recommend, obviously.

The boots are great! Handled spring time in Colorado so raining, ice, sleet and then snow all in one day. I mucked horse stalls and had very warm feet while doing that chore. I bought these boots over a year ago. So far they have been pretty good. I work as a full time diesel technician and occasionally have to do landscaping and construction work and these boots have held up pretty well to everything I do. The oil, diesel, break cleaner, etc have not hurt the leather nor the stitches at all. I will say I am disappointed in the insoles, being that they only lasted me about 4 months. I have had to replace the insoles quite often but mainly because I do weigh about 255 lbs and have a very wide foot. Also the hook eyelet on my left boot broke after about 6 months as well. The water proof feature has been great even for being a lace up boot. They are high quality leather, although they are comfortable out of the box, they do get more and more comfortable as you wear them. I am on my feet all day everyday so I put some Dr. Scholl ’s insoles in them to make them that much better.( I also have flat feet) One pair last me about 3- 4 years. And that is wearing them literally almost 365 days a year. As a welder I tend to not like laces and these boots are perfect for a welder except if you are needed steel toe. I mainly bought this boot because it can be resoled and the reviews on Georgia boot were very positive. This is the first time I have bought Georgia boot. I have usually bought Ariat, Wolverine, Red Wings and Tony Lama. I am tired of buying good boots only to find out they are trash after the soles are worn off or the glue separating. These boots( Georgia Giant Wellingtons) can be resoled by a cobbler and should last a lifetime with proper care. After throwing away two pair of RedWing Boots because the soles are separating because they are glued and can not be resoled, I am now a Georgia Boot customer.

I wore a different Georgia boot for 3- 4 years before buying this one. My other one was not waterproof. It started falling apart after using it on my dirt farm. With this one I can walk in the creeks and all over. It is super comfortable, waterproof, light, and fits great! It handles cow manure, creeks, woods, rocks, dirt, etc.-- Just all- around great! In addition, the bottom grip is nice. I do n't have any problems walking or shoveling, and the inside cushion makes you want to wear it for all occasions. The only thing you might have to do is replace the cushion every now and then; with around 230 lbs. the cushion performs well, but takes a toll. For winter, I recommend some thick, cushioned, wool socks. Wool socks and boot make it a winning combination that ca n't be beat by any other. Buy it!

Unlike all other brands, the wide width on these boots are ACTUALLY WIDE WIDTH and the widest you 'll find!! These boots are so incredibly comfortable, that they do not require any break- in!! The traction on the soles does wear down faster and creates poor slush/ice traction. But the soles are n't designed for mountain climbing. I do however, use them for upstate bear hunting. Another plus, is if you have hot feet that sweat; look no further. Usually my Gortex waterproof boots get a musty/mold odor. The tread is good, the stitching seems tough, and the zipper on the back is a nice touch for making the boots easier to get on and off. I made the mistake of getting a half size bigger since my normal size is always a little tight with the thicker socks in the winter so theyre definitely too loose on my feet. These are the work boots to get if you are in wet conditions. I just bought my second pair after the first ones started to crack a bit on the rubber shell. These boots are amazing! I ’ m used to buying boots from the big box stores and they are stiff, uncomfortable, and seem to dry out fairly quickly. My Chore Cool boots are anything but that! These are the first pair of boots I ’ ve been able to comfortably walk in, even without socks. Always wore long socks to buffer my ankles, but these are comfortable enough to wear barefoot! We have 3 acres and I ’ d rather wear these than any other of my other shoes…even when the grass is cut and there ’s no need!!

So far, I 've used them for outdoor walking in the rain, during summer and they 're great. The tall hight makes sure water and mud do n't splash in. They decently cushion my feet for long walks. Not gon na ruin a marathon in them, but that's not what they were designed for either. They do exactly what I got them for and do it well.

I bought my Rough& Tough IR's almost 5 years ago and while I dont wear them often they have only aged like a fine wine. If I do n't wear them for a while they become narrow and tight but give them some heat or mink oil and they loosen back up and once they get hot from body heat they loosen back like my childhood baseball glove. Love RedWing and I will absolutely be a customer for life. Yes this is a real review lol
