I became interested in this style of boot due to me having bad/weak ankles. considering that im very active, i needed the support. i first tried the justin and after the second time of wearing them, quickly realized they were too stiff and too heavy and went to my local supply and tried on the georgia. i 've gone through three pair of which were each resouled atleast once and now about to pull the trigger on a fourth. with each pair, once broken in, feel like a pair of house slippers. as mentioned by others, the lether on the last two pair do seem to be a bit harder than previous. overall, i 'll have to give them a two thumbs up.

Needed a new pair of steel or composite toe work boots so went to a Bass Pro Shop on a specific mission for Keen boots. Wore non- ST Keens years ago and always like the look so thought I 'd try the ST version. Unfortunately Keen now runs wide and were exceptionally heavy... disappointing. Tried on about 8 pairs of boots from 4 different manufacturers and a price range from low 100 's to 300+. Carhart,( or as we say in the northeast- Cah- haht) Millbrook CT was the clear winner both in price, comfort, and cool ol' school look. Literally bought them last night and wore them all day today and they felt like I 've owned them for years. If these were available in low cut, I would have bought those too. I prefer a boot that hugs the foot( see prior reviews) so this was perfect for me and very comfortable immediately. You 'll notice the single lace hook at the top so 95% full lace support is excellent, unobtrusive, and again, sooo comfortable. They ’ re tall, almost up to my knee, and fit snug around my leg( though not “ tight ”) so as not to have huge gaps where snow can get in. The Vibram Ice sole works — good traction on slippery surfaces. Note, however, these boots are not light, nor are they flexible like cheap boots — there ’ ll be no trips strolling in the mall with these. These are serious boots for serious cold.

They seem to be a size smaller than normal size. I have always wore a 9 1/2 in all my shoes and boots but they seem to fit like an 8 1/2. i bought my first pair in 2007. these are the most comfortable, well made boot ive ever owned and ive worn boots my whole life. this is my fourth pair now. a good 3 yr. boot wearing every day. im a builder and like the flat sole, doesnt pick up nearly the mud and is easy to get off when you do, slip on is fast when concrete shows up and ive got to get into rubber boots. quality, comfortable, rugged, customer for life here!
