I became interested in this style of boot due to me having bad/weak ankles. considering that im very active, i needed the support. i first tried the justin and after the second time of wearing them, quickly realized they were too stiff and too heavy and went to my local supply and tried on the georgia. i 've gone through three pair of which were each resouled atleast once and now about to pull the trigger on a fourth. with each pair, once broken in, feel like a pair of house slippers. as mentioned by others, the lether on the last two pair do seem to be a bit harder than previous. overall, i 'll have to give them a two thumbs up.

I already own these boots without the safety toe and love them. These are no different aside of the break- in period. The non- steel toe were like house slippers from day one. These have taken a few weeks of wear to soften up and I am still having an issue with my left boot, but the right is great. They are extremely comfortable and easy to stand on most of the day. They run perfect to size and the steel toe is not invasive like other brands I have tried. I work in an environment that has a number of silicone based chemicals on the floor and it is slippery, but not in these boots! I have not even come close since I started wearing them. Safety and comfort--- SOLD!

I received my boots 6- weeks ago and have worn them a dozen times building mountain bike trails in Northern California. The boots are very comfortable, have great traction and warm in cool weather. What I like best about the boots is that I am sure footed when working on steep grades, in mud, and in thick bushes. Plus having to hike in to get to a trail section may be over a mile which is no problem with these boots, just a joy splashing through rivers, muck, you name it.

I have owned these boots for over 1- 1/2 years now with no issues. I oil them every quarter to help with the wear and tear and to keep them soft. I keep them on a boot dryer at night to keep them dry. I work in the Dairy industry and walk through manure and chemicals, it is a very wet environment. I have gone through Red Wings and other carhartt boots that only last 6- 8 months. In short, thee boots are worth every penny. Wish I could get a pair with more insulation though.

This USA Georgia Boot Logger is built like a dang tank, but rides or feels like a Cadillac once broken in. The comfort core footbed is different for sure, but it is very comfortable. I have had these boots for about 6months now. They look amazing and has been a very durable, I build houses from foundation to the roof so I say all environments and these have done well. The waterproofing has seem to do good so far but with winter coming I ’ ll really put them to the test. As for fit they do run tight, I even got a 10W and it ’s still pretty snugged on the sides, I ’ m assuming that ’s to get the square to incorporated in them that causes that. I would suggest maybe ordering a half size bigger than normal. Traction is pretty good for the everyday wear and work, if you ’ re going to be on hill sides all day this boot isn ’ t for you. The first thing you notice when you unbox your boots it the strong smell of real quality leather. I was immediately in the mood for a good Maduro cigar and a glass of my favorite Islay whisky. Following that, you peel back the paper and see the true color of these boots in your chosen color. I picked copper rough and tough. The photos do not truly demonstrate it's color but, there are some hints of the color in the photos. It has a richness and variation of color that is amazing in person. Since most stores do not stock these, it is a bit of a leap of faith but, it is well worth it. I had to size them down one half of a size. They do not come in a wide width at this time and I measure for a wide shoe but, already on the second day, they were loosened up enough that I have no trouble now. I would recommend wearing them around the house one day with two pairs of socks on. You 'll be surprised how quickly they break in if you do n't mind doing that for a day. Based on the described construction of the boot, when you receive the box, you may be surprised that it does n't weight several more pounds. It's not a very heavy boot even with the extra stitching and quality leather. Wearing it around the house and then later out on the street, it will continue to break in and loosen up. The break in is not bad at all. I would compare the break in to any other quality leather dress shoe that is American made. I felt an improvement in just a day and it will get better everyday for two weeks. The shape and style of the boot are clean and simple yet rugged. I believe this could easily sneak into a business casual realm if needed, especially on colder inclement days. The oil resistant soles have good traction on most surfaces so far. I have another pair of boots with deeper heavier tread for working around the house so, this pair probably wont see as much winter time work. They did get puked on by the kid last night and after that I walked through some mud right after getting out of the truck. It all seemed to wipe off and reminded me to invest in the protectant. I 'll be ordering that soon. If you buy cheap boots that are n't real leather, crack, fall apart or generally wear out every year or two, I would advise you to take a trip to the store, make the investment now and after you break in your new boots, you can decide for yourself.

Just received my Copper Blacksmiths today and after a quick application of oil, I 've been wearing them most of the afternoon and evening. Incredibly comfortable from the start( apart from being a little stiff) and the leather is a beautiful sight, changing colour and tone with each movement of the foot. As the other reviews seem to agree the laces seem a little short and I did n't go a size down as I 've pretty wide feet. This means they 're maybe a touch long but great on the width.

I had never bought a `` casual '' pair of boots before especially taken a leap of faith since they cost much more than I wanted to spend, but after about 2 years of wearing these for work/play/casual in all types of weather every other day, if not everyday, the comfort alone has been more than worth it. They seem to be a size smaller than normal size. I have always wore a 9 1/2 in all my shoes and boots but they seem to fit like an 8 1/2. I challenge anyone to find a boot that has all the atributes of this boot. Which includes square toe, safety toe and saddle vamp. They are not out there! I 've been wearing them 8 months. Dang near every day. I work on a cattle feed lot farm. Seriously rough on boots. Still got a few months left in 'em.

I bought these boots when they were called the Carbo- Tec WP about 5 years ago and they are still going strong. The soles are finally wearing down after the inside of the heal area is starting to break down a little bit. needless to say I have put some miles on these bad boys and ready for my next pair. Was glad to see they are still making them.

I am on my 2nd pair of the Athens Georgia boot and am as pleased with this pair as my first. I wear them every day to work and sometimes deer hunting and have had no issues with the water proofing. Looking at the other reviews I think these few people must have gotten some boots that were not inspected properly at the plant. Must have been right after lunch. LOL

I have several different brands and types of this kind of boot and these are the best of them all. Ended up having to wear them for a week straight for 9+ hours and did n't bother me a bit. Usually wearing this type of boot will cause me feet and back to ache if wearing them for an entire day or two but these are amazing! Will be buying another set.

These are awesome boots. I ordered them a few weeks ago and got them within a week of ordering. I love the feel of them and they keep your feet cool even while just walking. I ’ ve been using them for fishing and walking around in muddy areas. I have tried several brands of boots some less expensive and some a whole lot more but I have to say nothing beats Mucks.
