The only thing that I 'm disappointed in is that I did n't try these until right before the Vaporfly 4 replaces them. Absolutely loved these on my marathon training long runs and looking forward to wearing them in my first marathon. Not being a stranger to On Cloud shoes, I bought these from the sale table( my size is hardly ever on a sale table at Dicks!). They fit perfect, color was not my first choice but could not resist the price. Like my other On Clouds, they are perfect fit, but you do run 1/2 size too small. They are very light, fit like slippers and walk and run very well as they cushion your feet. Like other On Clouds, be careful not to scrape or use them for harsh conditions as they will tear or a hole can happen. They are meant for light to medium wearing conditions and do very well at that.

purchased from nike, not Dicks. But i have seen a lot of non- typical reviews that may dissuade someone from giving these shoes a chance. I have over 300 damage- free miles on these shoes and i am just now looking at getting a replacement pair. not due to damage, but just due to the zoomX foam losing its `` springiness '' which is typical for it over time. I started wearing these shoes coming from wearing nike free 's for years and just wanted to give something else a try that is lightweight and without a carbon fiber plate. These shoes will not `` destroy '' your ankles if you are already adept to wearing a minimalist- style shoe. These are not true minimalist, but they are very lightweight, lighter than my minimalist shoes, and have a very low heel- toe drop. Both of these specs can compete with minimalist shoes. Coming from wearing minimalist shoes, my ankles, feet, and lower legs are strengthened to adapt to the less cushioning and stability. If you transition to these shoes straight from wearing `` traditional '' trainers, there will be an adjustment period and you may decide its not for you. That is not a knock on the shoe, but more of a characteristic of this style of shoe. I transitioned to these shoes pretty seamlessly from my Nike frees. Streakfly 's are the lightest shoe Nike makes, and extremely flexible. Like wearing socks. This is what i look for in a shoe, and something to consider for anyone looking at giving these a try. It is a very fast shoe, but it will lose its responsiveness over time due to the exposed ZoomX foam. They can still be used when this happens though. I am not happy that Nike decided to add a carbon fiber plate to the new Streakfly 's, although Nike did make the shoe even lighter. I uses these shoes as a daily trainer and do not want to run with a carbon fiber plate every time, this can cause injury. i am currently looking for deals on these shoes from other sellers because they are not for sale through Nike anymore and i want to pick up another pair before they are completely gone. Bottom line, if you are someone that is already used to wearing a lightweight, flexible shoe, with low drop, you should really give this shoe a try. If not, there will be a transition period before you can wear this shoe all the time. When i transitioned to minimalist, i went through several shoes of gradually decreasing weight and drop in order to let my body strengthen and acclimate.

Returned to running after a 40 year break. Six months in I decided to run a marathon on five days notice. I got these because they are supposed to reduce fatigue and make recovery faster. I ran sub- 4 at age 57 with six months of training and a five day taper. The next day I had no problems running six miles. Alphafly 2 has been my only running shoe, so I ’ m sorry to see it appears to be on the way out. I hope the 3 is just as good. I love the booty fit without the need to deal with a loose tongue. Minor slippage on my right foot as it ’s slightly smaller than my left foot. Toe cap is not your average Nike narrow one. I purchased my Cloudmonster 2 shoes as an introduction to the On brand, along with the Cloudswift 4 ’s. I have to say these Cloudmonster 2 shoes are in fact livid to their name. Running in these as a larger person is very comfortable and effortless, allowing quicker paces to be achieved without fatigue, while wearing as a daily shoe is very comforting and damping. I ’ m overall very satisfied, and only have a minor concern to wear on the sole long term. I run 3- 10 miles a week in either an outdoor pavement environment or on the treadmill, for a month of daily use these have held out very well so far. I feel great about this product and if it doesn ’ t hold well, On has great customer support and warranty to resolve any issue. I would highly recommend stop browsing and pick up a pair of these, I don ’ t have any greater recommendation for such a great daily& running shoe!

If yours squeak, try some baby powder between the insole and sole. I think these have a glued down insole if remembering correctly, but i think i peeled them up in mine. Put baby power between the layers and try to get it to go between the sole from the upper and the foam of the cushioning/midsole where they are sewn together. Sometimes there are vent holes as well. If you get them really wet/dry and that gets washed out it will return some eventually but you can redo it. Ive had several different styles of squeaky shoes and this works. The squeak is between the upper sole and midsole and not the outer sole and the ground like most people think. That is why they squeak on any surface. Had these shoes for about a year and a half now and used and abused them. Feels pretty much as good or better than pegasus i had, although it is hard to ever get a direct comparison. Ive worked and walked a lot in them and usually feet feel as any other shoe Ive ever had. I coach and do a lot of outdoor work.

Got this shoe a few months ago as my daily driver. Works great. Is pretty comfortable and fits my wider feet well. Also feels good running and when lifting. Well worth the money. They did take a little while to break in- the soles started out stiffer than most, but that issue worked itself out in around a week or so of prolonged use.

[ I 've had dozens of running shoes in the past and this is probably my all time favorite. Springy, light, comfortable. Considerably more lively than my Boston 12s. Probably destined to last a while too based on the Lightstrike Pro shoes I 've had in the past. Upper so comfortable I took it out for an HM for their second run without issue. I have a somewhat wide foot and historically Adidas shoes have needed a little breaking in around the little toe to work for me. Not so on these, but I could see the upper being a bit roomy for those with narrow feet. Great grip from the outsole, as expected for a modern Adidas shoe. If I needed to come up with a complaint, I wish the tongue was gusseted so it did n't move around when I was putting on the shoe.
