Only issue I had which was before even leaving for the trip- was the loop on the back of one of the shoes ripped off the first time I put it on. I have been familiar with Chacos for awhile and how they are very popular due to their quality and functionality. The problem was that all of the models I saw were way to chunky and heavy and with me being a minimalist footwear fan I just couldn ’ t get with them. However, when I saw these and read some of the reviews and saw that they were less beefy and light my reason for not getting a pair of chacos was gone. I love this sandal, it ’s stylish and practical and pretty light to boot. If there was any critique I would give it would actually be for Chaco to add a huarache type sandal to the line up. You ’ ve gained a new fan in me!

I love the color scheme and I love the comfort, I am primarily a minimalist shoe/sandal person, but I needed something with just a little more protection for hiking in areas that are a little rocky and sharper. I Was hesitant to try Chaco ’s because all of the styles that I saw were super thick and very heavy. This new style so far is light, allows my toes displayed comfortably, and feels very natural on my feet. If I Could make one slight change, it would most likely be to get rid of the toll loop and make this more of a huarache style. Other than that, I am a fan.

I need arch support to NOT have foot pain. These are great. One issue I had was that the adjustable strap was too long, as my foot is not `` very tall. '' When I tightened the adjustable strap, the strap hit the floor/ground. So, I took them to a shoe repair shop and had the straps shortened by 1 inch. Now, they are perfect for my feet.

The arch support and feel of these sandals is great. The toe support is an added plus if you plan on doing lots of walking at a brisk pace. I now wear sandals all the time at home and outside when it is warm enough.

[ These OluKai shoes are like dress up flip flops. They 're made with high grade leather with beautiful detailed stitching. There is so much attention to detail, they wrap the outsole in leather as well, which presents a polished finish. I 'm not even a flip flop person, but I got these on a whim and, after a little break in period, was hooked. There is good arch support and they get more comfortable as you wear them. They 're expensive, but these are much better than your average flip flop. Note: They do run small; size up.
