No sore spots, but the `` neoprene '' padding covering the plastic triangle is cut shorter than my previous pair of Tevas and likes to fold under my foot everytime I put them on. I just spent 3 weeks in the Bahamas with this sandal. It performed exceptionally well. I spent time at Atlantis water park, went on 4 fishing charter, scrambled on very jagged limestone reef, walked miles around Nassau, etc The sole is very sticky, even when wet. The sole is also very tough. I hiked on some very nasty, sharp, pointy, jagged limestone reef with no issues. I was very impressed with how well these performed.

First things first, you will want to go up half a size. I have heard this many times snd it is true. I am a size 7 1/2 exactly and the 8 fits like a glove. The width is perfect for me and the comfort is amazing. Great with shorts or jeans, and perfect if you have to get your feet wet to “ retrieve ” your retriever. Also a great deck shoe on the boat. I was not payed or compensated for this review, but let ’s face it, I should have been!

Bought these for a trip down the Colorado river in the Grand Canton. The shoes were great for 6 days in the raft as well as river/creek walking and day hikes over serious rocks. These are more comfortable than my other pair of Volv chacos due to the thicker straps on the mega cloud. The buckle strap will loosen on me but it the sandals stay tight enough though the toes and arch that they still feel secure. One thing that was odd to me is these came with a plastic buckle instead of the metal one that was advertised. However this is n't a deal breaker to me. Just something to note.

I liked the idea of the wider straps( which are in fact just a hair over 30mm, despite being described as 35mm in some places) but was n't so sure about the metal buckle. Turns out the wider straps really are more comfortable. The metal buckle seems like it might be very slightly more prone to slippage than the plactic ones, but it has n't been an issue after a couple of weeks of active use. I have n't gone wading through any strong currents in these yet, though...

Awesome! Got these looking for more arch support in a sandal and hoping to wear them hiking. Just wore them for 6+ miles of backpacking with no issue, super comfortable! Only thing I 'd change is the ability to tighten the straps more, I have relatively narrow feet and tightening them all the way does n't quite do it.( Not a deal breaker though) I sized down a half size and was able to comfortably hike in them while wearing 2 pairs of wool socks.

I looked last year for the Daytona sandals, and thought they discontinued them. I currently own 4 pair of Daytona's and at least 10 pair of other Keen shoes love them. I wear a 9. 5 and always buy a 10 in Keen shoes. Also, my foot is narrow, and they fit me perfect. The first pair lasted about 4 years and I 'm not too hard on shoes. If you try Keen shoes, you will be hooked and will want another pair.

These are all new for OluKai in many ways. The footbed has a softer and more pliable rubber giving the entire flip flop a higher impact resistance over any terrain. The ride is almost luxurious like a custom orthotic. It has a high arch and the shoe is built a bit wider. I would say they run 1/2 size larger. I wear a size 11. 5 in running shoes and I purchased a size 11 in the Ahi Kai and are perfect. Highly recommend these as you sporty/water do- it- all flip flops. They look high end enough for nighttime but sporty enofor the beach.

I wear a size 11 1/2 to 12, so I ordered a size 12, but these joints ended up fitting more like a 10 1/2 or 11. I wanted to save you from the hassle of returning them like I did. [ I love the quality of the flip flops. They are super comfortable and are very appealing to the eyeballs! They say the soles are laser cut for better traction and I understand what they mean. They are super grippy. The only negative I would have to say is they are a bit pricey but, as anything else, you get what you pay for and with these you are getting a very high quality product that I feel will last many years.
