5 nemoangler
I caught crappies cast after cast with this bait. I was fishing off of a dock, and I just cast out, counted down to where I wanted it, and started cranking. The crappies were all over it. Sometimes I will tie a small jig about 12- 24 '' in front of it. The jig can add more color more color in case of dirty water or finicky fish, and the blade's action will make the jig( both jigs) `` dance. '' And you can catch a few doubles. My only complaint is that the 1/16 oz can be difficult to cast very far, which is another reason I like to add a jig ahead of it.

5 bassyg
This bait really works great have caught crappie, pickerel, yellow perch all in the same day using this, down side is after the fish tear up the lure replacing it with the spare the body splits in half making it usless cant glue it together either but using another 2 inch soft bait will work i believe that the flash and wobble drives the strike i notified z man about this Perhaps the can use the same material as their trd soft baits making them un- tearable

5 Dan17y
After purchasing one and trying it out, had to buy all the colors. Caught bass, perch, crappie, etc. Also works in saltwater. Buying more for sure.

5 Fisher_of_fish
I love these baits. I have caught Largemouths( up to 2lbs), smallmouths, crappie( the best for this bait), bluegill, and even catfish with these. Perfect size for the lake or the river, or even small stream for pan fish. The chatter draws the fish to you, so you do n't have to be right on top of them. Especially if its a body of water that are naive to chatter style baits- the novelty of the chatter drive the fish into a frenzy. I throw the plastic minnows that come with these in the trash. I pair them with a gulp 2. 5 '' minnow( I left a similar review there too). Black or emerald shiners or fire tigers on cloudy days. The chatter draws the fish to you, and the gulp minnows keeps them there with there irresistible taste/texture. I usually use silver blades, but I have n't noticed a difference between silver and gold. The paint can chip off if you are fishing in a rocky river, but I still catch fish with a chipped head. Relatively durable- I think I usually catch about 100 fish( maybe more) per rig before it starts to fall apart( the chatter blade or weight can break off). I consider that good value.

5 Angler Jeff
Have been using Z Man Chatterbaits for a while, sometimes they work. The Mini Chatterbait seems to catch a lot more fish! Bass and Pike both seem to like it! Nice motion, easy to use.

Works very well on an unweighted 2/0 hook for bass

5 BassAssassin
I thought I ’ d give this a try and thought it might be a good fluke substitute. But I also thought it might work as a good trailer. And it did not fail… it did do both. Put it on the back of a chatter bait ‘ mini max ’ and hold on tight. It works magically. And still provides plenty of hunting action to the Chatterbait. I also pierced a few lips using it on a drop shot.

Caught a limit of walleye 1st day I used them, great price/ rebate.

5 JohnL
I bought a bag of this bait at my local dicks store last week. I fish regularly on Cayuga lake which is located in the finger lakes in NY. I purchased some minnow soft baits as an alternative bait to my Berkley grub baits. I had lots of success in catching some fish including some blue gill, perch, and large mouth. I also caught tons! and tons! of gobies where I fished. These things have huge mouths and love the scented bait. I was only fishing of a dock so I did n't get the full experience of using this bait on a boat or kayak. I found that using a smaller hook worked well in catching the fish near me. I hooked the bait through the head and out the bottom similar to a carolina rig. The bait works well even after a few fish are caught and the bait is broken down. I suggest throwing the bait back in the back once finished so it can redial up the liquid in the gulp bag. All in all decent bait for a good price.

5 Fisher_of_fish
I use these on a chatter bait flashback mini, and get a crappie almost every cast when over submerged weedbeds. These are by far the most irresistible bait- both in taste/scent and texture- to most panfish. The chatter bait draws them, and these baits keep them. I use the 2. 5 '' black or emerald shiners mostly. Fire tiger works well on cloudy days.

5 JR Beardsmith
There is n't a fish, in my neck of the woods, that 'll pass this bait up! Always in my kit when and wherever I go freshwater fishing.

5 MHATW
I buy this pretty regularly because I run out pretty quick. I 've used these with great success fishing for Trout, bass, crappies, pickerel, in local rivers and on lakes, all seasons. Even ice fishing. Love this bait.

I can speak from alot of experience with this product. I use this these for freshwater trout that are locally stocked. If you impart the correct action, you will draw strikes when nobody else is.. i 've often outfished live fatheads. Also, if your intentions are to catch and release, using a 2 in jig like this with a 1/32 th oz head assures an easy liphook for quick releases. Frequently Asked Questions For Minnow Jigs

Minnow jigs are a type of fishing lure designed to mimic the movement of small fish, making them effective for attracting predatory species. They typically feature a weighted head and a hook, allowing anglers to cast and retrieve them at various depths. These jigs can be used in both freshwater and saltwater environments, making them versatile for different fishing conditions.

Minnow jigs are often made from a combination of durable materials, including metal for the jig head and synthetic or natural fibers for the body. The choice of materials can affect the jig's weight, buoyancy, and overall action in the water. Some jigs may also incorporate additional features like reflective finishes or glow-in-the-dark elements to enhance visibility.

Minnow jigs are effective for catching a variety of predatory fish species, including bass, walleye, and pike. Their design mimics the natural movement of baitfish, making them attractive to fish that are hunting for food. The effectiveness of minnow jigs can vary based on the fishing environment and the specific species being targeted.

When selecting a minnow jig, consider factors such as the type of fish you are targeting, the water conditions, and the season. Different jigs may have varying weights, colors, and designs that can influence their effectiveness. It's also helpful to think about the depth at which you plan to fish, as this can determine the size and style of jig that will work best.

Yes, minnow jigs can be utilized in various fishing techniques, including vertical jigging, casting, and trolling. Each technique may require a different approach to retrieve the jig effectively, allowing anglers to adapt their strategy based on the fishing conditions. Experimenting with different retrieval speeds and patterns can also enhance your chances of success.
