I bought a bag of this bait at my local dicks store last week. I fish regularly on Cayuga lake which is located in the finger lakes in NY. I purchased some minnow soft baits as an alternative bait to my Berkley grub baits. I had lots of success in catching some fish including some blue gill, perch, and large mouth. I also caught tons! and tons! of gobies where I fished. These things have huge mouths and love the scented bait. I was only fishing of a dock so I did n't get the full experience of using this bait on a boat or kayak. I found that using a smaller hook worked well in catching the fish near me. I hooked the bait through the head and out the bottom similar to a carolina rig. The bait works well even after a few fish are caught and the bait is broken down. I suggest throwing the bait back in the back once finished so it can redial up the liquid in the gulp bag. All in all decent bait for a good price.
5
Fisher_of_fish
I use these on a chatter bait flashback mini, and get a crappie almost every cast when over submerged weedbeds. These are by far the most irresistible bait- both in taste/scent and texture- to most panfish. The chatter bait draws them, and these baits keep them. I use the 2. 5 '' black or emerald shiners mostly. Fire tiger works well on cloudy days.
5
JR Beardsmith
There is n't a fish, in my neck of the woods, that 'll pass this bait up! Always in my kit when and wherever I go freshwater fishing.
5

I buy this pretty regularly because I run out pretty quick. I 've used these with great success fishing for Trout, bass, crappies, pickerel, in local rivers and on lakes, all seasons. Even ice fishing. Love this bait.

These work great. I 've caught fish from Jersey to Mexico with these. The biggest so far was 30lbs. These lures produce, and I always have a couple on me. These catch fish when nothing else is. I 've caught Blues, Stripers, Jack's, and even Fluke on them. They cast well and are well worth the price.

The SP Minnow has become my go to. I plug the beaches and back bays of Long Beach island and surrounding areas. I never leave home wihtout at least 2 of these plugs in my bag. I have had many nights where i couldnt find a fish until I threw this plug and then couldnt stop catching fish. A MUST HAVE in any fishermans box.

The color selection is screwed up. For example, the picture for `` bone '' is a minnow of another color. I selected bone, hoping that I would actually get the bone one, but I actually got the shad color. So be careful which one you select. The SP minnow itself is great though.

I thought I ’ d give this a try and thought it might be a good fluke substitute. But I also thought it might work as a good trailer. And it did not fail… it did do both. Put it on the back of a chatter bait ‘ mini max ’ and hold on tight. It works magically. And still provides plenty of hunting action to the Chatterbait. I also pierced a few lips using it on a drop shot.

I bought this bait at my local dicks sporting goods store last week. I fish on Cayuga lake which is located in the finger lakes in Upstate New York. I purchased some Berkley grub minnows for fishing off of a dock near a marina and off of the shore near a small bank. I had lots of success in landing some fish including some blue gill, pumpkin seed, rock bass, and large mouth bass. Do n't let me forget to mention that I caught A LOT of gobies. These things have huge mouths and love the scented bait. You can definitely catch some 2 or 3 lb largemouth on these bait if you are fishing in the right area. I found that using a size 4 jawbone hook worked well with a Carolina rig for the fish I was after. I added a 1/8 oz weight about 5 inches from the hook. I received most bites and catches on sunny days with calm water in about 20- 40 feet of water. To retrieve the bait cast it out very far, then let it sink to the bottom. Then just slowly reel on the line every 5 seconds then let it sink then repeat. These baits tear away after you snag them or hook them multiple times. They also lose scent after a while so sometimes if it is reusable I wash it off then throw it back in the bag to soak in the juice.

I can speak from alot of experience with this product. I use this these for freshwater trout that are locally stocked. If you impart the correct action, you will draw strikes when nobody else is.. i 've often outfished live fatheads. Also, if your intentions are to catch and release, using a 2 in jig like this with a 1/32 th oz head assures an easy liphook for quick releases. Ill tell you the secret, pretend your teasing a cat on your retrieve and fish will jump on it!

I have about 20 bandit lures I fish Lake Erie with. They work the best over the competitors. I have fished almost every color combination of them, the one that works the best by far is the one called `` Plasma ''. I would have never purchased this one typically because it doesnt look like much, I was always looking for flash and bright, tried ig one day when it was slow, it catches more fish than any other 3 to 1. I have 4 of them on my boat, 3 deeps and 1 shallow, run them 75 ft behind boat no weights and get ready to be shocked.

Texas rig these lures, cast them out, twitch a couple of times and let them sink. The bass can not resist them. Or add a small weight and jig them off the bottom.

The irratic darting motion on a jerk- pause retrieve looks so much like a fish in distress, it has caught big and small bass, very effective when they 're feeding near the surface, it's action does get a reaction bite that varies. Sometimes the line just stops with no initial tap or tug, other times they try to rip the rod out of my hands!

Me and my friend use these constantly, they work so well! The first time I used them I would cast it out let it sink and then jerk every few seconds, on my first cast I was pleasantly surprised with 4 big bass following it! were talking 3 pounders!!! I use primarily the White Pearl color and my first time using them I caught 53 bass over 1lb!!!

Great lure. ... Great lure! ... Incredible lure right here. ... This is my go to lure!! ... The sinking design also helps you consistently keep contact with cover and get a few feet deeper than your average suspending jerkbait;...

Worked exactly how I wanted it to. Second cast out of the box landed me a nice walleye! This item was on the clearance rack in addition to `` buy two get one free ''. Without sales, value would be average or lower

Being a louder lure I like to use it when the wind picks up as the day progresses and sometimes is the ticket to a good sized speck! ... This is one of the louder twitch baits on the market and I like to use it mostly from fall to spring seeking trophy

This is one of the louder twitch baits on the market and I like to use it mostly from fall to spring seeking trophy trout. It walks the dog like the classics like 51MR or 52MR, but its a bit larger and has a single large clacking bead. Being a louder lure I like to use it when the wind picks up as the day progresses and sometimes is the ticket to a good sized speck!

A mimic minnow lure is designed to imitate the appearance and movement of small fish, which are common prey for larger game fish. These lures often feature realistic colors and patterns to attract fish, and they can be used in various fishing environments. The action of the lure in the water is crucial, as it needs to mimic the natural swimming motion of a minnow to effectively entice fish.
Mimic minnow lures are versatile and can be used in both freshwater and saltwater fishing. They are particularly effective for targeting species such as bass, trout, and pike, as these fish are often drawn to the appearance of small baitfish. Anglers can use them in various settings, including lakes, rivers, and coastal areas.
Mimic minnow lures are typically made from durable materials such as plastic or rubber, which allow for realistic movement in the water. Some lures may also incorporate reflective finishes or holographic elements to enhance visibility and attract fish. The choice of material can affect the buoyancy and action of the lure, making it important for different fishing techniques.
Choosing the right size of mimic minnow lure depends on the type of fish you are targeting and the local baitfish population. Generally, smaller lures are better for targeting panfish and smaller species, while larger lures can attract bigger game fish. It's also important to consider the water conditions and the size of the prey fish in the area.
Yes, there are various styles of mimic minnow lures, including hard baits, soft plastics, and suspending lures. Hard baits are typically more durable and can create a distinct action in the water, while soft plastics often provide a more lifelike movement. Suspending lures are designed to remain in place in the water column, making them effective for enticing fish that are not actively chasing bait.
When using mimic minnow lures, consider the seasonal behavior of fish, as their feeding patterns can change throughout the year. In warmer months, fish may be more active and aggressive, making faster retrieves effective. In colder months, a slower presentation may be necessary, as fish tend to be less active. Additionally, the size and color of the lure may need to be adjusted based on water clarity and temperature.
