Had use this bait over natural bait and I have out fish my fishing companions 5 to 1. I do n't know if it's the color or movement or taste? The large container is great because you can recharge the baits when unsuccessful you can put unused baits back in the original container.

Dick's has consistently had the best prices on GULP! products. I have yet to receive my rebate check from Berkley but 50% off- ca n't beat it. Plus, this is the first time/place I ever saw the 4 '' mullet in the `` juice jar ''. I 've caught fish w/just a 1/4 '' nub of this product tipped on a hook. My boat's console is loaded w/GULP! products of all kinds- and Dick's consistently has the best prices anywhere. I would never say it out- fishes live bait but when you 're in a hurry or you ca n't trap live minnows, it comes awfully darn close!

This is a great artificial. Cast it out, real it back in fairly fast and feel the strikes. I 've caught Red's, Snook, Lady Fish( I know but they 're fun to catch), and Mackerel( Spanish and King). I do however change out the Treble hook with a tougher# 4. The hooks that come on it are a little on the cheap side. Minor inconvenience for a great bait.
Mullet lures are primarily designed to mimic the movement and appearance of mullet fish, making them effective for attracting predatory species. They are commonly used in both freshwater and saltwater environments, targeting fish such as bass, snook, and redfish. Anglers often utilize these lures during specific seasons when mullet are prevalent in the water.
Mullet lures are often made from a variety of materials, including soft plastics, rubber, and hard plastics. The choice of material can affect the lure's action, durability, and overall effectiveness in the water. Many lures also incorporate features like realistic finishes and colors to enhance their appeal to fish.
Choosing the right size of mullet lure depends on the target species and the fishing environment. Generally, larger lures are better suited for bigger fish, while smaller lures can be more effective for targeting smaller species. It's also important to consider the size of the mullet in the area you are fishing, as matching the hatch can significantly improve your chances of success.
Mullet lures come in various styles, including swimbaits, topwater lures, and twitching lures. Each style offers different actions and presentations, allowing anglers to adapt to varying fishing conditions. For example, swimbaits often provide a smooth swimming action, while topwater lures create surface commotion to attract fish.
The best time to use mullet lures typically coincides with the mullet migration, which often occurs in the fall and spring. During these times, predatory fish are more likely to be feeding on mullet, making lures that mimic them particularly effective. Additionally, early morning and late evening can be prime times for fishing with these lures, as fish are more active during these hours.
Effective techniques for using mullet lures include steady retrieval, twitching, and pausing to mimic the natural behavior of mullet. Varying your retrieve speed and incorporating erratic movements can also entice predatory fish. Experimenting with different techniques based on water conditions and fish behavior can help improve your success rate.
