The Switchback Expert has better frame geometry compared to a Trek Marlin. Up grading the heavy coil spring fork is not a problem with the tapered head tube to a light weight air spring fork will shave 5 lbs. off the bike. The rear wheel hub is a 141mm qr. is a limiting factor. No through axel. You can up grade to a 11 speed on the stock rear wheel. a new rear wheel with a Shimano wh- mt500 hub with microsline free wheel will get you 12 speed. The bike is light and fast and fun to ride. Sale price of$ 550 is hard to beat.

[ Comfy, good looking, solid build, definitely offers more protection than the bell super air convertible I was using previously. Much more versatile and in full face mode feels( nearly) as solid as dedicated full face I have.

[ I bought this to replace my very old, non- MIPS Super 2r and am very happy with it. It ventilates similarly well and feels much more sturdy than the old Super. The fidlock strap is really convenient and it's very comfortable as well.

[ Over the last 12 months, when it comes to mountain biking, I have completely gone over the deep end. I love riding everywhere I can in my home state, Minnesota, and I have traveled to four other states to ride as well. I do n't race and I consider myself an intermediate rider, but I am willing to push myself to get better and try new terrain/features. With the above in mind, I figured why wait until I knocked my teeth out or broke my jaw to get a full- face helmet?! So, I dug in and did my research and settled on the Super DH MIPS Helmet. And, I am glad I did!... I just returned from a trip to Bentonville and had a nasty crash on a gap jump I missed. While the helmet did n't prevent me from shattering my collarbone( surgically repaired with 10 pins and a titanium plate), my melon was completely protected and unharmed from my OTB and trail bouncing. In fact, the helmet is no worse for the wear and ready for more action. Why did I chose the Super DH MIPS Helmet? 1) Tons of venting and a super comfy fit( Yes, your head will still get a bit warmer than having no face- guard. But, it's not as bad as many people say.). In fact, I wore it both climbing and descending, as well as on the features I road( I love skinnies). 2) Quick and easy removal of the face- guard( But, it defeats the purpose of having it... it's for unplanned accidents.). 3) Great visibility and glasses or goggles fit it perfectly( I wear slightly larger sunglasses, googles seem like overkill for my riding purposes). 4) DH rated and MIPS technology—Why go full- face if it is n't rated for the most extreme riding you may experience?! 5) Bell history and quality.

[ Needed a replacement helmet after a crash. Love the chin bar for added protection. Fits well and isnt heavy, even with the chin bar. Looks pretty sweet too

[ Helmet is overall good, but the chin bar is hard to remove and reinstall. It takes a lot of effort to remove the bar and reinstallation takes a lot of alignment and adjusting to get it done right.

[ I live the Denver area. Dry, loose, rocky, lots of steep terrain up and down. These tires roll noticeably faster than a Minion DHR and feel less draggy while maintaining good traction an breaking. My style is aggressive trail/all mountain and these tire fits that style.
5
Moose
[ Short version: Great rear tire for general purpose trail riding. Efficient. Planted. Great climber. Long version: I 'm not a featherweight, nor am I racing or bombing off big downhill stuff... too old for such shenanigans. Just a middle- aged guy having some fun while staying in shape. A typical ride is ~10 miles w/ 1200 ft of ascent, about 1000 miles/year on a mix of hardpack, sand, gravel, rock, and sloppy rock. The rubber compound is noticeably softer and the tread pattern is more efficient-- very quiet on pavement. This thing climbs and pedals like a champ. Unbelievable traction on a mix of surfaces. Yet very little squirm for all the traction, a noticeable improvement while cornering and off- camber. What I think is happening: Better tread and softer rubber means I can increase psi while still having better traction. And higher psi means less tire roll while cornering and off- camber, which feels less squirmy and more solidly planted. I 'm curious to see how the softer rubber wears over time, it has only been on for a few days. But somewhat faster- than- normal wear is more than worth it for how well this suits my riding. I 'm sure there are better rear tires for other applications such as downhill or cross country or racing. But this is a great all- around tire for those who just like to get out there and ride.

[ I was running a DHF on the rear and it had great traction but was an absolute pig to pedal. This rolls better and still brakes well. Very happy with the change. Also has great traction when climbing over wet roots and rocks

[ I have been riding a long time, since the late 80's. I ride a lot more then most people, over 2K all off road. I would classify myself as a well experience, aggressive rider despite being in my 50's. Over the years I have ridden a plethora of tires. I am now running a 2. 5 Wide Trail DHF on front and Aggressor on back. I am so blown away with this tire! I recently had DHRII and Forecaster. The DHF/Aggressor is the most versatile amazing tires set up, I do n't think I will ever ride anything else. I do n't just recommend it, this is a must have!

[ This bike is SO pretty!! I got it at the perfect time, as my 12 year old has outgrown hers. She absolutely loves it! It's a little tall for her, but she makes it work. It did n't take long at all to put together and was fairly simply. I wish the instruction manual told you a weight limit because it could also be used for shorter adults comfortably( like myself, who's 5' 2). We ca n't wait to get out more with it when the weather warms up!

[ I ’ ve been riding this mountain bike for a month now, and I couldn ’ t be happier with it. The lightweight aluminum frame feels solid yet agile on the trails, and the 29 '' wheels roll over roots and rocks with ease. The front suspension absorbs bumps really well, and the disc brakes give me great control, even on steep descents. Gear shifts are smooth, and it handles both off- road and paved paths confidently. Overall, it ’s been a reliable and fun ride.

I bought a Nishiki bike. It was a wonderful bike, and assembled really well by Luka( the bike technician and a polite young man), but too small. The store management team went out of their way to take care of me and ensure I was able to ride out of the store with a bike that I desperately needed. Huge thank you and shoutout to the team. Especially the store manager, Daniel. I 'm a satisfied customer and will be back! I went to the Dick's location in Midtown Miami.
