Great ned rig head worth it compared to the cheaper ones

Pmaur31
These are slightly larger and made with better hooks than the standard version of the Shroomz jigs. I find that mashing the little bait keeper on these makes things easier and prevents the Z- Man baits from twisting up and making you remove the bait and re rigging

PA Bass Fisherman
These jigheads are the best open water jighead on the market( whether or not you put a Z- man soft plastic on them. The hooks stay sharp, and the action is great. I recommend the 1/10 oz when the bite is super tough. Switch to the Nedlockz EWG or Pro Bulletz around cover.

I bought this thinking it would be an obvious upgrade to the fimesse shroomz weedless jig head, especially when using larger baits like the big TRD. ... It is a stronger hook and would see that being beneficial fighting bigger

I bought this thinking it would be an obvious upgrade to the fimesse shroomz weedless jig head, especially when using larger baits like the big TRD. After using both versions, I prefer the finesse shroomz jig head. I find that it's easier to rig with elaztech than this model and gets hung up less on brush etc. That being said, if the finesse size is out of stock but this one is available, I will buy again. It is a stronger hook and would see that being beneficial fighting bigger bass.

Great action, but more of a do- little technique, so I 'm not complaining. I use with the smallest Elaztech TRD, although this jig head was designed for the newer, slightly larger TRD. Dick's did n't carry any Elaztech soft plastics, and did n't have any options of weight of the jig head, so I had to get one that was triple as heavy and sink rate than I would have liked, but it still works. Obviously hard to go wrong with the Ned Rig no matter where you are, so a jig head made especially for it is great.

TALEK ONE
I call this item `` the cheat code '' this paired with the Zman TRD is a fish catching machine. This will attract a bite when fish are too lazy for anything else. The presentation is awesome mushroom head stands hook up at a good angle and keeper helps bait stay put. The TRD plastics are bouyant and help give it and awesome looks in the water. Do n't believe me try it for yourself.

Octane_10
Great quality hooks. They are$ 1 per hook which is high considering the size and weight but they are super sharp and have a great bait holder built in. No need for a hard hookset, just lean on the rod and reel it in, the fish hook themselves.
5
ESMITH72
I bought these off the clearance rack. I use these hooks all the time. It's obvious that someone placed them in error. Same hooks in the fishing department were more$. I love finding these errors.

NJRoadRep
Pricey jig head, but it is the best at what it does: Ned. I 've spent a ton buying cheaper heads that just do n't present the bait right. Do n't waste your money on other heads, this is the best of the bunch, and while per hook they cost more, they do n't get hung up as often, so you end up ahead.
$7.99
It works very well for that type of fishing when you are constantly getting hung up using a standard jig head ... perfect for the finesse trd use the lighter one for calm conditions and heaver one for when the wind

Nedrigfish228
I have caught more numbers of smallmouth and panfish on the z- man micro finesse lures than any lure I ’ ve tried. This is a great creek and small river lure. I ’ ve caught a few nice sized bass, but I would recommend the bigger zman ned jigheads if you ’ re looking for 18 ”+ smallies. The lures are tough, don ’ t tear up like most soft plastics.

A mushroom head jig is a type of fishing lure designed with a rounded head that resembles a mushroom. It is primarily used for finesse fishing, allowing anglers to present baits in a natural and subtle manner. The shape of the head helps the jig to stand upright on the bottom, making it effective for targeting fish that are feeding near the substrate.
Mushroom head jigs are typically made from durable materials such as lead or tungsten for the jig head, which provides weight and stability. The hooks are often made from high-carbon steel, ensuring strength and sharpness for effective hook sets. Additionally, some jigs may feature rubber or silicone skirts to enhance their appearance and action in the water.
Mushroom head jigs are versatile and can be used with various fishing techniques, including dragging, hopping, or slow rolling along the bottom. They are particularly effective in finesse fishing scenarios, where a subtle presentation is key to enticing bites from finicky fish. Anglers often use them in both freshwater and saltwater environments, targeting species like bass, panfish, and more.
Choosing the right weight for a mushroom head jig depends on several factors, including water depth, current conditions, and the type of fish you are targeting. Lighter jigs are ideal for shallow water or calm conditions, while heavier jigs are better suited for deeper water or when fishing in strong currents. It's important to match the weight to your fishing style and the specific conditions you encounter.
Mushroom head jigs offer several advantages, including their ability to stand upright on the bottom, which mimics the natural behavior of prey. This design allows for a more enticing presentation, especially in clear water where fish may be more cautious. Additionally, their versatility makes them suitable for various fishing techniques and species, making them a popular choice among anglers.
