[ My first outing with this chair was on a long walk on a beach at Bodega Bay in northern California. I am pushing 80 with arthritis in both knees. After 20 minutes I needed a rest. I sat while others continued. After sitting comfortably for over 30 minutes, I rejoined my group to head back. Very pleased with how well I felt. Love the portable weight and overall construction. [ We 've taken 3 backpacking trips since purchasing these chairs, and they 're now the one luxury item that we refuse to go without. Are they heavier than one of the foam or blow up cushions? Absolutely. But after hiking all day with a heavy pack, it's heaven to sink into a comfy chair at your campsite. They set up and break down quickly and easily, and we love the feet on this chair in particular. Some of the sites we 've camped at were very sandy or muddy, and the Joey felt very stable. We 'll be taking these to the beach as well once we 're able. I have no doubt they 'll perform well there too.
