This knife is great! First time I saw it I fell in love with the profile then I found the Wolf Gray and really loved the look.( I need a blue one now). Out the box it was near shaving sharp, some light stropping put it there. Feels great in the hand and has great control. I bought this knife maybe 2 months ago for my ruck pack after seeing it on sale at a Dicks Sporting Goods store. I thought eh, has a good edge and will make a great extra knife. BOY OH BOY!!! When i took it on my camping trip, this knife performed and withstood all I tossed at it. I literally used the knife to shave logs and make wood chips for fire. When I got the fire up and decided I needed medium pieces of wood; I was able to split the logs down the middle using only this knife and another log to hammer it through! The blade never dulled or bent. This knife is a monster. Totally recommended it for any one asking should they buy it as a main or an extra. And the company is great. I bought the display knife which did n't have a sheath and SOG was kind enough to mail one right to my home. Thank you for a great product. About to purchase a second for a back today!

I was gifted a seal pup from a friend in my unit about six years ago. Used it all the time during training in the field and it came in real handy during operations. I can count on this knife to do the job at all times, very sturdy and high quality blade that will cut through all types of material as needed. I bought this knife a couple of weeks ago alongside the Pentagon. During the recent winter storms I ended up trapped with ice all over my car and had nothing but my SEAL Pup to scrape 1/2 '' thick ice off my windshield, mirrors, and rear window. When I got back home, I checked the edge expecting it to be chipped, rolled, or dulled. Amazingly, the knife is still shaving sharp, just like when I took it out of the box. Many thanks to SOG!

After some use, this new Made in the USA gerber blade performs well. I used it while camping and it did great for al, the tasks I asked of it. It carved sticks, created kindling and fuzz sticks for a fire, sparked a ferro rod, cut rope, and sliced up our meat for supper. The sheath is well thought out and allows for multiple carry options. The handle fit my hand well and was very grippy in all conditions. I ordered a fine edge from an Internet site, and received a serrated in the box. Gerber's customer service was awesome, and quickly replaced it with the fine edge version that was supposed to be in the box.

Back in my Active Duty days, I carried a Gerber Mark2 in my ruck. So Brand Loyalty is key here, I 'm not a full on Gerber Fanboy, but their designs and innovations speak to this former Grunt, and now retired but still running Precision Rifle matches. My EDC was the Gerber LST( light and SS for corrosion concerns). My current EDC is the Gerber Swagger. I sprung for this StongArm because I found the Prodigy and LMF and Infantry knives/sheaths a bit on the heavy side. Enter 2015 and the StongArm.... What can I say that has not been said. Great for BOB knife, SHTF, Zombie Apocalypse and plain old GTFO/ Get Home bag. I 'm no longer wearing a plate carrier so a simple FLC with MOLLE will see this knife. My Maxpedition bags all have MOLLE so this GTFO/SHTF knife mounts with amazing flexibility. And for my 2017 Taco truck the BG Ultimate Pro will reside in the cubby. This StrongArm will always reside in my GTFO gear, though. I do have an axe for the truck so I 'm not concerned about chopping, but I 'm super pleased to know from the YouTube reviews, that these knives can hold their own. Thanks for a great design in the USA Made StrongArm... I 'll be dead before this knife dies.... LOL

I have used it for its purpose for about a week of cutting down small bushes and vegetation. It cuts through most with one chop. Mine came razor sharp, but reading the other reviews I was n't expecting that so it seems that it might be hit or miss on the sharpness. Great knife and very pleased.

I just put the SOG Jungle Primitive to a brief initial test. Results were good. I chopped a six inch log in half in about 30 seconds. Then I shaved some kindling and tinder. I finished up by using the knife with a fire steel to start a quick fire. No hotspots on hands nice handle grip. Very sharp blade. I 'm a satisfied customer!
