My old daypack( unknown brand- cheap) had to retire after 5 years of heavy use. I hope this osprey holds up longer, I was told it was the best brand. Very happy! I bought this for a for my “ personal item ”( under the seat) for a flight and cruise with our kids a few weeks ago. Super lightweight and we were able to keep things secure without having a million useless zippers and pockets. Definitely not for every day use, but I was happy to bring a sling bag for daily outings. I brought this bag and a carry on for a 6 night cruise. It was perfect!

I love the size- not too small for short trips/ hikes. Plenty of room and features for just enough stuff. The ambidextrous shoulder strap is a nice feature that allows me to share this with family and friends. An exterior pouch for a water bottle would be about the only upgrade I ’ d recommend, but it was easy enough to clip a bottle to the loop built into the pack without any carrying problems. Highly recommend this pack. Light, sturdy and well made. Can ’ t go wrong with the Osprey lifetime product guarantee either!
