[ The Core Equipment 4- person dome tent is a great small tent with helpful features. I love the screen roof, allows you to view the entire night sky on clear nights. When it's rainy or if you prefer it, you can easily put the rain resistant tarp/cover over the top for protection. 2 features that I love are the electrical cord pocket and the air intake- it allows cool air to enter through the bottom mesh of the tent while letting hot air exit out the top. This tent is a great tent for small families or couples who want a great camping experience.

[ This tent is awesome!! It ’s super easy to set up, even for someone like myself who has never set up a tent before. Can ’ t wait to test it out more this summer!

[ I recieved this from influenster for my honest review. This tent was super easy to put up and take back down. Was easy to get back in to the carry bag it came with as well. This was comfortable to sleep in, had 2 people with plenty of room left in it but can definitely fit 4. I 'm 5' 3 '' and I could stand in it with out having to crouch down so changing clothes in it was comfortable as well. This is definitely more of a spring/summer tent as the upper sides are only mesh but the tarp covers the mesh enough that it wo n't get wet. However I would be a little weary with heavy rain and wind in case for it to stay dry but regular rain was fine. The mesh siding and the added feature for air intake makes it perfect to sleep in in warm weather. I also loved the added feature to run a cord through without having to run it through the door. The price and quality is good so it's a good value. Will be taking it with again for our next camping trip.

[ We absolutely love our Coleman Dark Room Skydome camping tent! It was so easy to set up. It is very well made It comes with a carrying bag which is nice, we also like that the poles to this tent stay attached and had a little Velcro strap that keeps them all together, there is a nylon cover for the top of the the tent to prevent rain from entering. It also provides adequate room for up to 6 people to sleep comfortable It holds a big queen size air mattress easily and it stays pretty dark. I would definitely recommend it to those who are looking for space and comfort.

[ I am absolutely ecstatic about my 6- Person Dark Room Skydome Camping tent in blue that I purchased a month ago! This was the best purchase I 've me in a long time! The room in it is beyond words! It's 6 foot tall in the middle and can sleep 6. It was so easy to set up and take down. There was plenty of room for our whole family and it's so durable. It even has a cover for rain and you can tie it down in case the weather gets bad. My children and my basset hound had the absolute best time camping and because this tent was so durable and easy to set up and take down, we had lots of time to enjoy our little vacation. We have decided to take another camping trip soon and ca n't wait to use it again. My son has some health issues and this tent has Dark Room Technology which blocks 90% of the sunlight and reduces heat in the tent, which makes it better for people that have issues with the heat. This works amazingly too, because my son stayed cool and we were able to enjoy our trip because of this. It's also been designed and tested for storm conditions, which helps me breath much easier knowing we are safe. The amount of room in this tent is unlike any tent I have ever seen. The carrying bag made it so easy to take along, the wide door design made it easier to get in and out of, the storage pockets gave us room to put stuff out of the way, and the detachable rainfly gave me peace of mind. I felt so safe and secure and could focus on my trip and having fun with the kids knowing we chose this tent! We love it!

[ Our newly designed ball- and- socket system allows for easy tent setup and takedown, providing a quick and secure structure every time. A lower air intake vent draws in cool air from the ground while the mesh ceiling allows hot air to escape.

Bought this to replace my old, worn out tent. Could n't be happier. Setup is super easy. Took me about 5 minutes, by myself. Ball and socket system is almost cheating. Plenty of ventilation. Air intake is a nice addition, as well, pulling cool air in from the ground. First time out and got some rain. Rainfly did it's job, as did the seams. Not a drop off water in the tent. Decently light with enough room.

This is a great tent! Comes in a nice carry bag for easy transportation. The material and poles of the tent are good quality. There are taped seams to prevent rain from entering the tent. Easy to assemble and take down and there's internal storage! The price is also great for what you get.

This tent is a beautiful color and incredibly easy to set up( even on one ’s own). Thee little storage shelf is great, and the interior side pockets are very helpful. In addition, the little brim in the front helps keep rain out of the entryway and offers a little bit of shade. I love that you can make the tent as open/breezy as you want. We used this indoors for a movie night. While it took up a ton of room, the kids had a blast being in it!

[ We go camping alot and always wake up with the sun blaring into the tent, with this we do n't have that problem. It keeps the sun out and the perfect temperature inside. It's very durable and easy to set up. It took me maybe 4 minutes to put it all together. It also keeps the rain out I have n't seen nor noticed any wet spots. [ Great tent! I highly recommend this one in particular. The dark technology really works and it keeps the sun out which I love. The absolute best part is literally the 3 minutes it took me to set it up in the dark! There is nothing worse than getting to your camp site after dark and struggling to put up a tent. This was so quick and easy and for that reason I highly recommend this tent.

Bought this tent a long time ago, about fourteen years. Has held up great for that time. Ten min. set up time with two people. Hooked this tent to the back of my truck that has a cap. Worked great as a second room. I use the truck as a bedroom. Sleeve zips off for a third door option if using the tent alone. The only problem was when it rained one time and a pool formed between the cap and the tent on the sleeve. If it was on the right car maybe this would n't happen. The other thing that should be done to make set up easier is to mark the center of each tent pole. This is to mark the apex of the tent to tie the roof ties to. You will see what I mean when you set up. Would I buy this tent again? Yes. And I have never put any kind of waterproofer or seam sealer on and never had a leak.

I used the tent for the first time this past weekend and thought it was great!! My wife even enjoyed camping and I was n't sure that was possible. I heard from reviews that people said that it was hard to set up, but me and my friend set it up for the first time in the dark and only took us 10 minutes, very simple. They even have a video that shows you how to set it up, I would advise watching it first if you are unsure. Others said that it wouldnt fit back in the bag that it comes with, but again, I had no problem with it at all. The only cons were the tent pegs that came with it. They had no point at the end and bent everytime you hammered them in. I went to REI and bought some titanium tent pegs and problem was solved. The only other con was that when using the zippers, they sometimes catch the overflap fabric. Not sure how to fix it yet, but not a big concern. The tent is big and very roomy. I 'm 6' 5 '' and could walk around the tent with no problem. I have a 2004 Toyota 4Runner and the fit was perfect. Great tent, cant wait to use it again!

Love the idea of attaching this tent to my SUV. My wife and I have spent many a nights stacking stuff form the back into the front seats to make room for us in the back. This tent arrived and we headed out to go camping, first stop Holter Lake Montana, fee for camping sights vehicles on pavement tents on grass, you can imagine that we could not drive stakes into the ground when half would have to go through pavement. Headed out of Holter to camp at the Bridge where the access road to Holter meets up with the river at wolf creek canyon. Pitched the tent, pole, stakes everything and lit the barbeque and settle down for the night. Then the wind came and tent blew away. Lesson learned point the vehicle into the wind if known or possible( keep in mind, Eastern Montana is some of the windiest area in the United States. Packed up and headed home in the middle of the night. Two days later headed out to Yogo Creek Montana, found a remote site and set up camp, some wind but it was steady and we pointed vehicle into the wind. Everything else went off without a hitch, beautiful clear creek, camp fire and tent did fine in the 10 to 12 mph wind gust. One small problem, the straps that attach to the tent and come over the top of the vehicle and attach under the hood. When the wind blows is raddles those straps and makes a noise like a semi using air brakes. I will be going to the dollar store and buying some cheap pool noodles, slicing them half way and attaching them over those straps to stop this in the future. Over all glad I bought the tent, roomy and pretty easy to set up and break down.

[ I bought this tent to compliment my Copper Spur 2P tent for backpacking; needed something with a slightly larger footprint when camping with my partner instead of just my pup. Impressed with the quality, space, and design of this tent( expected as much from MSR). The rain fly is a bit wonky when needing to unzip from inside the tent; it slants down to the corner making it tough to open. I get the design intent, but it's not as user friendly as any other tent I 've owned. Keeps the rain out, which is the most important aspect. Like every tent out there, I would n't want to stuff 3 normal sized humans in it. It's great for 2 adults and my 75lb dog. There's room for some gear inside the tent, the vestibules from the fly provide enough space for full size packs under them. The pockets sewn inside the tent are great for stashing stuff sacks and small things, and I like the loops at the top for hanging a small lantern. It's on the pricey side for a 3p tent, but you get what you pay for. Good quality materials, a pack weight that's only slightly more than my BA 2p tent, and very easy to setup. I 've been backpacking with it several times already and it's a great piece of camp gear.

[ Was looking for a car camping tent, larger and more comfortable than the backpacking tent I 've had for ages. The DogHouse would sleep 2 very comfortably, you could sleep 4 if you do n't mind being a sardine. Steep sided walls gives the tent a very spacious feel. I could erect and take down the tent solo, but did struggle a bit the first time I pitched the tent to insert the tent pole into the final grommet. Also took me a while to figure out how to get the horizontal top pole out of the snap when breaking the tent down. Overall, the tent erected pretty quickly and easily in subsequent uses after the fabric stretched out a bit. Good ventilation, beefy stakes, seems to be a strong, stable tent, certainly fine for summer camping, probably 3 season. Worst conditions I 've been in are moderate wind and rain overnight, and the tent shed water no problem. I 'm assuming the fabric has a DWR coating, and it's unclear how long the waterproofing would last. I did not buy the ridiculously expensive footprint, just used a tarp close to the correct size and that worked fine. Tent material did catch in the zipper when zipping open or close the door. I wonder if anyone has solved this though.

I bought this tent for the JMT since my old tent had gotten messed up on a trip like 2 weeks before starting. I had originally just had the old version of the Nemo hornet and loved it, but needed a new tent. I wasn ’ t planning on getting the elite but it was the only one available last minute. But I ’ m so so glad I did! It was so light and insanely easy to set up. Everything that wasn ’ t my favorite about my old tent was fixed on this one! It only has one fly bar instead of two, these little things to be able to roll up your rainfly and mesh door and secure it, and the little tabs to click in your tent poles are a lot nicer now instead of the old plastic ones. I also really love how much netting there is. The only thing I didn ’ t like was I missed the black netting top to see the stars easier, and when I got my tent the mesh had come with a few pulls that slowly started to spread. I fixed it by getting clear duct tape and putting it on both sides of the pull and it hasn ’ t had any issues since! It was just annoying that it came with that. It ended up thunder storming during my trip and it was nonstop pouring rain( and wind) all night and my tent held up great! I didn ’ t get wet or condensation. I never had to readjust the guylines or stakes or anything. It was perfect! I also never got condensation, and had a lot of windy nights with no issues. Overall a great tent and I ’ m really glad I ended up getting it, especially since it ’s so light! Side note, I used it as one person for the 2p and would definitely not recommend 2p in it. Like I ’ m 5 ’ 3 and just having my backpack in there with me took up so much space. I couldn ’ t imagine another person in there long term. Overall a great tent and would definitely recommend.

I was using the Nemo Aurora 2p tent, but it was just too heavy. So, I upgraded to the Hornet Elite 1p tent. This is a small tent, too small to keep your pack inside if you are using a 25- inch pad. I knew this prior to buying and have no problem with it. The vestibule is big enough for my pack and shoes. Weight was an important factor in this purchase, so I am very happy with this tent. I recently took this on a hike in upstate Pa and this tent performs well in rain and wind. There were 20 mph winds all night and I had no problems. It rained almost all night, and the bathtub was as dry as could be. I had zero condensation issues and the outside of tent dried quickly after the rain stopped. My gear stayed dry in the vestibule also. Set up was as easy as could be and this tent packs down small if you keep the tent poles separate in the allotted bag. I would definitely recommend this tent to anyone looking to save weight or are looking to purchase a semi freestanding tent that is durable. Thank you, Nemo!

I used the Hornet Elite tent for a week in the mountains with strong winds and freezing temperatures. I really love how strong this tent is considering it's a semi- standing ultralight tent. The setup is quick, easy, and intuitive. The OSMO technology is a real game changer when it comes to rainy situations – the tent remains waterproof for longer even when the rain comes down with a lot of pressure on the fabric. It's the best tent addition to your ultralight backpacking kit!

I LOVE this tent!! I ’ ve used a 1P, single- wall, non- freestanding tent for many years. I finally decided to suck it up and get a bigger tent. I wanted a 2P, double- wall, semi- freestanding tent that wouldn ’ t be too much heavier than the tiny tent I ’ m used to. There are so many options out there, but I am truly satisfied with the fact that I picked the best one that fits those specs! What makes this tent stand out from the competition is truly in the small details. The osmo material provides SO much more water repellency than I ’ ve ever experienced. The headlamp pocket in the top of the tent that acts as a lantern is amazing. The side pockets are roomy. The extra little piece of paracord+ clip on each vestibule adds more livable room. The smaller vestibule square footage means that this tent can fit pretty much anywhere you want to pitch it. It holds up extremely well in the wind, and the perfect pitch is SO easy! The tent itself also packs down suuuper small. Long story short, I can not recommend this tent enough if you are an ultralight backpacker looking for a little bit of luxury with your shelter.

[ My first trip with my new Tungsten 1 Person tent was to Big Bend Ranch State Park last November. Temps ranged from lower 80 ’s during the day to lower 40 ’s at night. The tent weighed almost half what my previous one did. I was really happy about that. It also sets up in only a couple of minutes even when using the rain fly. On warmer nights the Tungsten was perfect without the fly. Great views of a star filled sky that way as well. On the coolest nights I was super comfortable with the fly on to help retain some heat. I was pleasantly surprised to find the air circulation was good enough to almost prevent all condensation from building up inside the fly. I am 6 ’ 2 ” and there was plenty of room for me and my long sleeping bag plus all of the gear that makes me happy to have close at hand. Don ’ t misunderstand though; it is definitely a one person tent. After those 4 nights I would definitely recommend this tent. It has all of the quality you would expect from a premium brand like Marmot. Get one for yourself without fear of disappointment.

I ’ m a mountain guide currently sitting in the rain in this tent right now. I ’ ve lived in it all summer long, and I must say, it ’s done a great job. I was looking for a new lightweight tent with room. After much research I settled on the Nemo Dagger 2P. The new fly material of the OSMO was of interest. As always, I just dove in and started setting up. The basic tent setup was very quick and intuitive. The fly took me a few minutes, but once I caught on that the hook ups are color codes it was a snap. The new material is interesting. Very light and almost feels like some type of paper. Even though it is thin, I did put some stress on it trying to put the fly on wrong the first time with poles poking it, but not a mark. I also did some tugging and it appears to be tough. I have n't been out in the rain yet so I ran a garden hose on it for about 15 minutes. While I did n't stake it out very well I did n't not any sagging and the water for the most part ran off. Not a great test, but something. It also dried very quickly compared to my old rain fly. Very impressed so far and cant wait to see how if hold ups over the season.

Bought the Dagger 2P with Osmo fabric this spring and due to injuries just used it for the first time, car- camping at the Oregon coast. Set- up took about five minutes single- handed with my left( non- dominant) arm in a sling. Plenty of space inside for two, no issues with condensation even though it's very humid year- round at the coast. The zippers and tie- backs are so easy to operate with one hand, I love that. The Osmo fabric dries quickly. I 'm looking forward to backpacking with this tent!

First tent purchase in 8 years so I put in a lot of research. The Dagger Osmo is the best 3 person option out there for my needs. Great weight and tons of livability. [ I have an older version of this tent, but was recently camping and reminded again of how amazing it is. I left the rain fly tucked open and it rained while I was away and when I came back everything was dry. I have had a version of this tent for over 12 years. I will buy only this tent. I am consistently left completely dry when others are complaining of some leak or puddle in their tent. Even if my bag or something is left pushed up against the tent wall. Which often happens as I camp with small children. This has been our go to family tent and it has never failed us. I have also back packed with it. Great tent, highly recommend.

[ As first time campers, when my partner and I first saw how compact and light the package was, we were skeptical of whether it would be large enough. However after setting it up- which was super easy- it was as roomy as you need it to be. The hardest part was putting it back into the bag as neatly as it came. However if you are impatient like my partner and prefer to just stuff it in, it still works, which is great! It is a three person tent, but is a tiny bit cramped imo, for two people however, it ’s perfect with some spare space. As a two person tent I ’ d rate it 5. First and foremost, I want to start off with how great the actual bag is! The bag is very roomy, and you will never have to worry about everything fitting. Has a Top that rolls and clamps down when finished. The tent itself is very simple to put up two of us about 15 minutes, but we are very experienced campers. The polls are very easy to assemble and attach. The tent stitching is nice seems very secure. The overall quality of the tent is very nice and very roomy. [ Took this on a two night backpacking trip in the Rockies and the extra space from the gear wings was the envy of everyone in our camp. Definitely got called the Vienna Sausage tent a lot, but if it's functional, who cares what color it is. Makes it easier to spot your camp. Got rained on plenty and this thing stayed dry-- that's probably the most important part. Set up was all color- coded so super easy. Clips in like other backpacking tents. My only gripe is the door. The fly only has a vertical zipper to access the door and the bubble of the D is on the other side. So you really have to reach around to open it and I felt like I was always battling the tent to get in( my partner did not hate this as much as I did). I 'm sure it's not the lightest tent on the market but weight was n't a huge concern on our trip and I really appreciated the extra space to keep our packs inside the tent. The ol Vienna Sausage tent will be continue to be our backpacking go- to. Its flaws can be overlooked for the convenience of extra space.

[ I travelled alone on a road trip for a couple weeks. On the road trip I was setting up and tearing down the Limelight 2 by myself on a daily basis. Compared to many other tents I have used it was a breeze and I could set it up and tear down in only a few minutes.

For the price, the Limelight is a solid performer. It's the style and size that the majority of outdoor folks will at some point. It also wo n't break the bank. While ultralight tents shine for the fast packers and the weight conscious, the price for weight savings is a non linear formula. In other words you 'll pay a lot more for a lot less when it comes to shaving ounces. I 've used the lImelight in all its configurations over the years. Mine has been to Mexico, the Andes, and all over the US. It's a good three season performer and works even in the odd snowstorm. It's light enough to travel well and carry( if load is shared between two people).

I used this tent on a 4 night canoe trip in the Boundary Waters and had an amazing experience! I loved that it came with a footprint that is super lightweight, this kept the bottom of the tent mud free in the rain and it cleaned up great when it was dry- I even used this footprint as a picnic blanket for lunch breaks between campsites which was an added bonus! 2 people in the 3P tent was ideal to have some extra room to move around, and I love that is has 2 doors with kick outs/vestibules on the rainfly to store items outside the tent while still being covered! My favorite bonus feature on the tent is the guyline bag that has a light diffuser for headlamps, so you pop your light into the bag and hang it on one of the many loops on the top of the tent for a perfect diffused light! I took this tent on a three- night backpacking trip to Colorado and I highly recommend it. My buddy and I were very tired after reaching our campsite and we were able to get the tent set up in under 10 minutes. The tent includes several unique features to make this process as quick as possible, including color- coded corners on the tent and footprint, a cool idea that I had never seen before. The tent also has a few other neat and useful features worth mentioning including two doors, large vestibules, and numerous interior organizational spaces and tools, such as pockets along the walls and a clever integration method that allows you to hang the removable top of an Ampex pack inside for easy access. Once we got it up, it performed very well. Our campsite had a significant amount of flies and wasps, but the tent ’s fabric kept all the bugs out for our entire trip. It also rained one night and the rain fly kept us( as well as my boots and pack in the vestibule) entirely dry. Additionally, our campsite overlooked a valley and we experienced some wind gusts during the trip. The tent never felt unstable and handled the wind well. In fact, I carried the tent in and I was surprised by how strong the tent was when considering how light it weighed. Finally, the temperature of the tent stayed well moderated because the tent has several vents. I would guess the temperature got down to the 30s or 40s at night and I was never too cold or too warm. Overall, I highly recommend this tent. I ’ ve camped in numerous tents over the years and the Ampex 3- person is by far my favorite. I look forward to using it on my next trip.

[ I bought this tent predominantly for backpacking or car camping. There is a chance I could bike pack, but that was not part of the decision to get this tent. I chose this slightly heavier tent over the regular backpacking tent because I wanted the decreased packed length. This allows me to put it in my backpack horizontally, and I keep the entire tent+ poles together. I chose a one person to keep the weight and volume down. I also appreciated having the loop straps on the top of the fly. During the BWCA trip last week, I frequently had wet socks, wet pant legs, and what other things to dry out. It was also windy during the trip. Once, I did put clothing in a pine tree. My friend later told me he picked up my stuff from the ground. After that, I always put my wet stuff under the loops on the tent. I love it! I had been concerned about the darker color of this tent compared to the backpacking tent. However, the color in the pictures is misleading. When I 'm inside the tent, I ca n't call it cheerful on the daytime but it's not dark and dreary. I do n't think it will soak up heat of the sun anymore than any other non- white tent will. I do like that it blends in better with the environment. I did purchase the footprint that also extends into the vestibule space. I 've previously had a tent with this feature and found it helpful. However, my friend has a BA tent with a traditional vestibule and he put a piece of plastic in front of his tent door. In the BWCA, the areas that we pitched our tents were often dirt. I found I had a lot of dirt on the footprint which kept me from sitting on it, etc. Meanwhile, my friend just simply lifted up his plastic and shook it out. We did get rain, so it's possible my gear under the vestibule stayed dryer. That being said, I do question if I 'm in this similar situation if I could just fold the vestibule back on itself and under the tent. And a grassy or less dusty situation, the footprint extending into the vestibule would be great. Otherwise, this review will likely apply to both the backpacking and bikepacking versions of this tent. My 8- year- old LLB 1- person tent I labeled my coffin tent. I do not feel the same way about this BA 1- person tent!!! This tent is a little wider, and I definitely have more headroom. It has a vent above which was a key deciding factor for my purchasing this tent. I hate tent condensation in the morning! I have a normal width sleeping pad And I can straddle it on hands and knees to adjust it and blow it up a little bit more. I can kneel in the tent and bend over in a squat to further make adjustments. I am 5 ft 7 in. ALL of the wonderful storage pockets kept so much off of the floor of the tent that it gave my body more space to move around. This is wonderful no matter what size version of this tent you get. I had a light jacket, a hat, and a shirt in the big pocket on the roof. The zippers on the tent open and close beautifully. Nothing got stuck. With the zipper on the fly I was a bit more careful, but all I did was extend a finger first in the direction I was traveling and that kept any material from getting caught. I am still figuring out all of the toggles, especially on the right side( facing tent) of the fly. It is very nice to open the doors wide, even if I do n't use the awning feature. THE VESTIBULE is Wonderful!! The vestibule in my old coffin tent would n't fit my backpack. With this BA 1- person tent, My 65- L ULA Catalyst backpack, a bait holder bag, shoes, my pfd, and a sm dry bag fit under the vestibule AND I still had room to enter and exit the tent. The vestibule rocks!!! The only thing that I do n't like about the vestibule is that there is n't a second smaller one. I do n't know if any 1- person tent has two vestibules. However, while this does allow one to set up the tent in smaller spaces, you are very restricted which way your vestibule faces. For ex, you may have to choose between setting up the tent so the foot faces into prevailing winds for safety... or setting up so you can open the vestibule doors and have a beautiful view of the mountains or a lake versus woods and weeds two to three feet from your vestibule if you set up for wind management. Setting up the tent was easy. The first two times I put the ends of the crossbars in the fly, it was effortful and I was concerned that I would do damage to the fly. Afterward, the material loosened up and it became easier. Clipping the fly to the footprint when I 'm also using the tent body is just a little awkward because cord material gets in the way of the clips. Guying out is much easier, quicker with the new adjustment pieces. There are two pieces of velcro to attach to the tent poles at the head of the tent. In the stake bag, there are multiple Velcro pieces and I 've not been able to find out what those are for. I bought two MSR groundhog stakes for two reasons: BA should have provided 1 more stake and I wanted two longer stakes to better anchor the tent in higher wind. During our BWCA trip, we did get a little rain but we got high winds during that time frame. Under these circumstances and with my roof vent open, I did n't get rain inside the tent. Also, with what both my friend and I felt were straight line winds, no rain got in the tent from under the tent fly. That being said, since the fly edges tend to sit up a bit higher from the ground to allow more ventilation, there was a lot of dirt and wood matter splash up against the wall of the tent. Luckily, the solid part obtained body goes high enough that nothing got inside. The inner tent remained dry. Packing down the tent and putting it and the poles in the available bags is okay. The bags are just wide enough if you pack things well. The stakes and their bag came packed inside with the tent and fly. I am a little concerned about the stakes being pushed in the bag with all of this other delicate material. My friend got upset with me because he felt I was taking too long to tear down the tent. I kept the fly on the tent body and attended to fold it all up together keeping the mesh on the inside, then stuff it in the bag. My friend felt I should just stuff each one in separately. I 'm not sure what's best, I just want to protect this more delicate material. That being said, my biggest concern for the material was when I was packing away the tent. Having the footprint down certainly protected the floor of my tent from any damage. Pros: mostly everything! Roof vent, large, practical vestibule, material loops on exterior fly, large tent body entryway, VG zippers, vestibule doors open wide, lots of interior pocket storage, a 1- person without being too confined, usually adjustable guylines, quick setup, appears to handle high wind well, why is not too dark, reflective elements on the tent keep one from tripping, fly zipper also zips from the top down, well- made. Cons: I guess the tent/tent pole bags could be lighter and the bags just the tiniest bit larger dia. The daisy chain loops are very small and not terribly practical. BA should include the missing stake. I would like for BA to also sell the bikepacking and backpacking poles separately. I could see someone wanting to own both depending on what situation they would be using the tent. I would also like BA to advertise that the traditional footprint and the extended footprint will fit both bikepacking and backpacking tents. Otherwise, the rest of my review will apply

[ Lightweight, sturdy, easy to put up…this is a great little one person tent. My only complaint is that Big Agnes should include the footprint because the test is quite delicate and requires one.

[ First: Th tent is n't nearly as dark- colored as the picture indicates- it's light grey and white. Very easy to set up and comfortable inside. Vestibule is roomy. The shorter pole segments make a big, positive difference when packing a bike! The bag is great if you want the Molle straps, otherwise I do n't see the advantage( and it does n't fit the best with my handlebar bag system.

I bought a Fly Creek UL1 fifteen years or so ago, when it was new to the market and a revolutionary change in tent design. In the spring of 2024, I took it to Taiwan for a five week trip camping in the mountains, forests, and beaches there. I camped for a couple of nights just outside Taipingshan forest park, doing long day hikes in the park. A few days later, I was camped on the beach, and noticed sand and dampness on the floor of the inside of the tent. There were lots of little holes in the fabric, from gravel or something sharp. Totally my fault. When I got home, I wrote to Big Agnes to see if repair was an option. It was not. Replacing the floor was not cost effective or really sensible for a tent that old and that used. They offered me a discount on a new Copper Spur UL1, and I jumped at the opportunity. The side door and bigger vestibule is an upgrade, and so is the more vertical wall, created by the little cross piece at the apex of the tent. The materials are really light, but seem quite tough. I have had it out in big rain in the White Mountains in New Hampshire, kayak camping in the Merchant Islands in Maine, and in a solid wind on Mount Olympus in Greece. The tent is very small, but holds its own in a wide variety of weather conditions. It is easy to set up- actually free standing, as opposed to the Fly Creek, which needs a couple of stakes to stay put. I go back and forth between tent and hammock. When there is a chance for no trees, or I am uncertain about what will be available, I bring the little Copper Spur, and I have not been disappointed. It is very light but not stupid light, and packs down small. All thumbs up for the product, and especially for the service from Big Agnes. I 'll be back for another if this one ever wears out.

I own the 2019 version and I absolutely love this tent! I got too old for my bivvy and wanted a tent that I could sit up in and with more space. I also wanted something lightweight that could easily fit on either my mountain bike or gravel bike. I put it in my Salsa Anything fork cage with the poles packed inside.( The poles can be packed separately in the included pole sack.) It packs nearly as small as my bivvy and for me, the extra weight is worth the comfort tradeoff. This tent is lightweight, easy to set up, sturdy against wind and rain. It also has lots of convenient storage nets and pockets inside and I love the vestibule space.( I noted `` flimsy construction '' as a con, but that's just the nature of a ultra lightweight tent. I 've used mine a LOT over the last 6 years and it has stood the test of time.)

I bought this tent a month ago. Used it on a winter camp out in March. Dug out about 18 inches of snow and placed the tent on top of the footprint. Set up was a breeze take down was a breeze. The tent created a micro environment which was significantly warmer than the outside tent temperature. Plenty of pocket storage as well as two doors and two vestibules. Tent fly goes to the ground and has fly extensions on which you can pile snow or simply leave alone to block out drafts. This tent is bombproof. I highly recommend it. Worth every penny

I have used this tent for 6 years for winter camping and during shoulder season. I have always been dry and comfortable. The tent is spacious for 2 people, which is nice for all the extra gear needed in the winter. It sets up easily and fairly quickly even with single person doing it. I have an older model with a window in the vestibule, which feel out and one of the fly velcro tie downs also feel off. Easy fixes, but not appreciated when it started raining. Overall a bomb proof tent that has seen multiple days of use and I would recommend it to other winter campers.

This tent is pretty easy to carry in my backpack and I abosutely love this tent design! Poles are hard and solid for keeping tent stady in windy condition. Great protection from the rain! Considering how Iceland can get rainy this tent handeled very well, any rain did not get inside to the tent during my campings. Tent is spacious for 2 people! I fits my 88L backpack behind my head and some stuff by the side also for another person the same. I think this tent is perfect for 2 people. I like the big windows and there is two zipers for vintilations so far I have n't had any issuses with anything sleeping in this tent. Entarence zipers are great and solid. The base of the tent looks pretty solid I have slept on the rocks next to the glacier and It was fantastic! Also to take poles off the tent after the camping pretty quick and easy. [ Been looking high and low for a solid 4 season basecamp tent. In a couple weeks, a buddy and I will break up the tent load as we snow show a few miles into desolation wilderness, CA. I set up inmy SF backyard for a few days while it was pounding rain. No leaks. Love the space.

I really appreciate the incremental design improvements over the previous version, that make a real difference, especially with rain resistance: 1. Longer rain fly, now reaching close to the ground 2. Staking loops and stakes for all 3 rain fly midpoints, so you can maintain separation between the rain fly and the tent 3. Velcro rainfly vent 4. Two tentpole grommets at each corner, so you can use the far one for raising the tent, and tighten the tent up with the close one later. 5. Two interior mesh pockets instead of one 6. Tapered closed tentpole ends, so that they slide through more easily, and do n't clog up with dirt 7. Expandable bag, which makes the tent easier to pack up quickly The only issues with the tent are inherent in the design and materials, but still pretty good for this price and weight: 1. No full rainfly over the front door, so you may want to put a tarp over the front if you expect heavy rain 2. Rainfly does not go all the way to the ground, but it should still give very good rain resistance if you stake it out well 3. The tentpoles slide through instead of clipping to the tent, which makes it a little more tedious to set up, but not a big deal after you 've done it a few times. 4. The fiberglass tentpole may break after a few years, at the stress point where the fiberglass meets the metal segment end, but if that happens, you can easily fix it with some duct tape.

After researching ultralight tension tents I settled on this tent and am super happy with my decision. My last Hornet 1 person I have had for 7 years and it still works great. The new OSMO fabric is awesome and super light. The tent poles are maybe 12 '' long, perfect for bike packing or tucking in the side pocket of your backpack. The inside would be snug for 2 people but totally doable as you each have your own door and vestibules. Awesome small details that have been upgrades since my previous tent. Excited to see where I sleep the next 7 years with this one!

I ’ ve used this tent for a few trips since picking it up late last summer. I have the older version of the 1p Hornet but I really wanted to try the 2p out so I ’ d have a little more room. Unless you ’ re super concerned about a few ounces, the 2p is the way to go even for solo trips. You could squeeze another adult in there with you but using it solo provides just enough extra room to be really comfy. The new rectangular shaped stuff sack and extra joints in the supports really help in packing this thing up as well. I used to lash the poles from my original 1p to the outside of my pack but the new version packs up so small I can fit it inside my pack. I really like having everything in my pack, especially hunting, so that was a really nice surprise when I got the new version. It ’s a great tent and I couldn ’ t recommend it more!

This is not a problem unique to Nemo, where 1 person UL tents are coffins, 2 person tents are great for one person, and the 3 person are good for two people, but have a large footprint. I also get that this is the lightest tent in the lineup, but the inside dimensions of the Dragonfly are n't really any different! So, if you are looking for a comfortable one- person tent and do n't mind an extra few ounces in your pack in exchange for sleeping well, this tent is hard to beat. It's one of the lightest and best- designed semi- freestanding tents I 've ever seen and used. It's awesome. I took it on an overnight with some experienced and fit hikers, and not only did we all get to camp at the same time, but I was set up and relaxing while they were still fiddling with their trekking pole tarps. So I highly recommend this tent to anyone who is not trying to go into what I call `` stupid light '' territory. However, my fleet now consists of the Hornet 1( for keeping up with thru hikers and pitching with a smaller footprint) and a Dragonfly 3 for slackpacking with my spouse. My next hope is that Nemo comes out with a true 2- person UL tent that can fit two 25x78 '' pads without a ton of extra space, something like the Dagger, but comparable in weight to the Hornet 3. Maybe it's in the works!

On some levels at this price point, you can fall into `` a tent is a tent '' thinking. But Nemo put so much thought into the little details of this tent. I have used a Big Agnes Copper Spur for years and loved it, but my first night in my friend's Hornet sold me. The venting was much better than my Copper Spur, which made sleeping through a hot Kentucky summer night much more comfortable. The tie ups for the doors and vestibule are placed perfectly so they do n't droop weird or keep unrolling whenever the wind would blow. And lastly, the Nightlight Pockets freaking blew my mind. Seriously, if you 're looking for a tent that is well designed as well as well made-- I ca n't recommend the Hornet enough.

After years of using a 2- person tent with my wife, we decided to upgrade to a 3- person. While there's a little weight penalty, we 're really happy with the extra room. The materials and construction are really great. The set- up instructions could be a wee bit clearer but so long as you set up the tent once before going, you 'll be fine. I 'd definitely recommend this to a friend.

I have the three person version of this tent and have used it for about a dozen nights or so. For the wife and I, this tent has ample space for two 25 '' pads side by side and plenty of extra room for bags( if you do n't want to leave it in the vestibule). We split the tent( body and poles, rainfly and stakes) between our two packs and it is very light-- lighter than a comparable quality 1- person tent, The set up is easy and the tent is very high quality. My only gripe with the tent is the size of the footprint when fully staked out. It goes quite wide which may limit the areas where you could set up the tent, As such, we 've reserved this tent for campgrounds and trails we are more familiar with. I would highly recommend this tent as one of the lightest and best build tents of this size that I 've tested.

I bought my first NEMO hornet in 2020 and it lasted me more that lasted 1, 000 miles worth of thru- hikes plus numerous weekend adventures. It was still in pristine condition when it was lost by an airline. So I went back for the same tent. This is a light, warm, sturdy tent that is the perfect size for me and my husky. I even took it snow camping the other weekend and it kept me warm and dry.

I 'd been wanting this tent for a while. I also have a Tiger Wall, that I adore, but the Copper Spur material us a bit less delicate and the ability to set it up with my poles and under the rainfly really does make a difference. The pole option helps with the weight and my first trek out with it I got trapped in a torrential downpour and appreciated the ability to do the rainfly, first so the tent did n't get wet at all. I use a 2 person tent for just me as I like the extra space and so it's one of my weight compromises. You do n't need to, but I keep my pack with me( I hang food and all smelly things, but keep my pack) because I use it to prop up my legs at night as I have lower back issues. The extra size is helpful so I can move the pack around when I 'm in it without sleeping. One thing that seems silly but makes a huge difference, for me, is the color. I dislike waking up in green or blue tents because of the light. The red and yellow of the Tigerwall and Copper Spur mimic, more, the color of the sun and so I wake up feeling warmer and more refreshed.

Nice tent, cool and cozy color! It does n't get dark inside the tent when camping near other tents with lights. Though set up and packing is easy and fast. When the tent is wet it dries fast, that's nice too. Material feels breakable, but it's can handel a lot! Cords could be more visible in daytime, tripped a couple of time due to clumsiness:). Would not recommend sleeping with 2 persons( im 170cm 68kg female, another me would be too tight and no room for two- person backpaking gear to keep dry in rain. Very comfy as a 1p tent though( reason I bought it).

The 2 person variant of this tent is perfect for backpacking trips with your dog. The tent has a tapered foot box, so fitting two people in it will require some coordination with sleeping pads, I prefer to keep my pack inside the tent, and there was plenty of room for my sleep system, my dog's sleeping bag, plus my pack/gear. It even kept us dry in a surprise snow storm at elevation. I 've also woken up to a soggy rain fly during foggy alpine evenings where the day/night temps vary a lot but the interior has always stayed dry. The footprint is sold separately and is a must have( or make your own). Easy to set up and guy out, good ventilation, roomy and lots of storage.

Comfortable ultralight that's an easy set up. I like the color- coded poles, tent and fly. The fly zipper tends to stick and/or catch, but not a deal breaker. I did tear the tent bag going through tamarisk fields and Big Agnes was kind enough to replace it for me. Great support! Thanks!

I have owned a Copper Spur UL2 for 9 years now and used it on multiple backpacking trips each summer in the mountains of Colorado. My husband and I find it to be very easy to set up, durable, and lightweight. A couple years ago we noticed some minor wear to the tent and had it repaired by Big Agnes. We thought we might lighten our load a little and try out the Fly Creek but found it did not have high enough sides to protect us from the sudden rain and hail storms at high elevation. We are still using our original Copper Spur to this day and are very happy! I see there are some newer updates to the tent like increased storage inside and the option to convert the vestibule into an awning. I think anyone looking to enjoy the great outdoors would be well served by this tent.

[ I bought this tent last year, but was only able to use it for the first time a few weeks ago. I was excited to give it a try and was not disappointed. Some high level thoughts: 1. I wanted a tent with a large vestibule AND that I could stand up in. I live in the PNW and we get a lot of rainy days. The amount of space was perfect for my setup. 2. The initial build is a but confusing at first, but once you figure it out is a breeze to setup. The tent uses a snap system that I have n't encountered before but that I find clever. 3. It took me more than a few minutes and few tries to figure out which is the front door when adding the tarp. BA likely could have added some big arrows or something here. 4. Yes, this is a two person tent, but I use a larger sleeping pad, so really only have space for one( ok with me since I solo mostly). 5. Definitely a car camping tent. But it is compact enough when stored to not take up too much room. 6. My only real complaint is the vestibule has about a 6 '' gap around the bottom edges. So you do n't get a real feeling of 100% privacy. I also use the separate footprint and I kept kicking dirt into the vestibule area that required me to constantly sweep out. On the other hand, did n't have any problem with bugs. 7. Love the amount of doors, including the front and side door. Bottom line: This will be my go- to tent for solo car camping, especially on wet/rainy weekends.

I bought this tent due to the great price and frequency that I go car and motorcycle camping. When set up for the first time, I was impressed with how big it was and how much space was inside both the 2 person tent and the vestibule, literally felt like a living room. It is big enough that my entire CRF300L fits inside with room to spare in case the weather was bad and I wanted to give my bike a break. Although it does take a little to setup solo, it helps a lot having someone to help you. The separated pole bag is nice since you can split the weight between people as this is most definitely not a backpacking tent. Overall super satisfied with this tent after about 10 uses, has done well in the wind and light rain and I am sure will do great in all other conditions.

I 'm a huge fan of Nemo and have been using their gear for years now. This has replaced the Hornet 2p in my backpacking setup for 2 reasons: it is freestanding- which is massively important when it comes to pitching a tent in the hardscape of the desert. And 2, it has more interior room and I often share this tent with my partner. Yes, it is a bit heavier than the Hornet as well as many tents in the same category, but I think that trade- off is absolutely worth it.

[ This thing is the perfect size for backpacking with two people; it packs down small enough to stow in the sleeping bag pouch of my pack( would be even more packable with a compression sack) and is super light. I 've used it on two different trips- one with temps in the 50s at night which it was perfect for- one with temps around 70 with some humidity- it was surprisingly comfortable that warmer night too. Provided some dry and cool relief to the wet humidity of everything else. I have n't tried the buttoned foot box, but I think on even colder nights that thing would come in really handy. Also love that it packs down into an attached pouch that is impossible to lose. When it's unpacked, that pouch has a little zippered area where you can stow it to keep it out of the way. Only used twice so far, so can not comment on durability, but the materials feel high- quality. Would recommend.

[ Had the chance to spend 5 nights in the 4P Limelight in Voyagers National Park recently. This tent replaced an old 3P Eureka I had for many years. The ease of set up for this tent given the size was amazing! Was super easy to setup with one person and could only imagine how quick it would go up with two! Really love the space inside this tent. The pre- bent poles offered a lot of space inside and the addition of the clothes line was great for drying out a few shirts that i left out overnight( dewy). The part I like most are the two doors- the larger door made it easy to bring all my gear in, no tripping over people, bags, etc to get in or out and the vestibule had the perfect amount of space to keep all our shoes dry too! [ The tent is really well designed and made. I used it for the first time, all is as described. It's lightweight, easy for me to put up alone, including the rainfly. The zippers seem really strong, no extra flaps to get caught. Seams are strong, along with the clothesline and pockets. It's well ventilated but yet I was very warm and dry- 50- 60 degree nights The space between the rainfly and the door is a bit small for me. Took some bending over to get in and out as you unzip the fly, then unzip the tent, and if you 're carrying something, it's harder. A little bit of coordination and all worked. There is n't privacy if you leave the rainfly flap up as the tent is all screen. I used it as a leader tent for a scout trip so privacy is a must. I think that it actually will keep everything very dry and not a deal breaker for me. Overall, excellent tent.

Have had this tent since early this year and absolutely love it after having spent about 20 nights in it so far. I 've used it in Iceland, Kyrgyzstan, and stateside with a few overnights and a nearly two week long trip. Inevitably had a few nights of very heavy rain and high wind and it managed super well! I opted for the 2P since I 'm 6' 6 '' and prefer having the extra space, in bad weather the additional indoor space goes a long way in making early mornings more comfortable. Packability is very good too, I ended up putting it in a few different places on my bike depending on the length of trip. To my surprise the somewhat shorter poles did feel like they increased flexibility when packing my bike. Also worth mentioning how easy this tent is to set up, always just a few minutes even with the rainfly. When you ’ re exhausted this will be appreciated. So far very impressed, looking forward to more trips with this tent!

I offer to your attention an ultralight tent for traveling by bicycle or motorcycle. Subjectively, it turned out to be the best option for me on the market of tourist equipment. Pros: 1) Compactness due to the reduced bend of the arcs, the use of ultralight materials, and constructive solutions. 2) New updated OSMO fabric from Nemo. Which is a mixture of polyester and nylon, as a result, I took the best from the two of them. 3) Internal organization and space. Spacious vestibule. 4) Small things that facilitate operation and installation( For example, color coding, hinges for doors, Lending Zone for the vestibule) 5) The bedroom is protected around the perimeter by a draft- proof fabric. Cons: 1) Bag for mounting on the steering wheel and transportation. 2) The price is due to the bag, and in general the price is not democratic) 3) Pegs that are far from Ultralite. 4) The price footprint, which also can not be attributed to the Ultralite series In general, the pluses more than cover the minuses, which in fact the majority will be able to solve or simply ignore because they are not significant. You can live.

[ It's cloud- puffy and light, a little touch of luxury for car camping. Mine is bright orange/yellow, and it makes me feel warm just looking at it. Would also make a good distress flag if I got stranded. Nice touches: the bottom can be buttoned up into a foot warmer pocket, and there's a little zippered pocket to hold its stuff sack, etc. Some camping blankets have textured fabric on one side, but this one does n't, which is both a pro and a con. Its smooth fabric easily shakes off dust and bits of whatever, but there is no traction and it slips off if I use it over a sleeping bag or other smooth surface. Also tends to feel clammy against bare skin. I like it too much to return it, but considering its high price compared to other good blankets, I do n't know that I 'd recommend it.

Having 2 doors is a great feature also. ... The two air vents on the rain fly kept things breezy, even while keeping the rain out in the morning. ... Spacious 3 person

[ I and my wife set this thing up after it was delivered, we didn ’ t notice any issues with the seams, zippers and so on. It surprisingly has a lot of room, we are both 5 ’ 11 ”, and we could lay in it with plenty of room left over for our dogs; 60& 50 lbs both approximately. Even at our heights, we had plenty of room to sit up, move around and simulate changing clothes and so on. It looked well made and the seams looked good, I am still going to spray them just to make sure though, but even if I didn ’ t, I doubt they would leak. I love the dark green colors, I am ex- military and like to keep a low profile if I can. If the millennial ’s and the “ Z ’s ” want the bright colors and the attention, let them have it. This wouldn ’ t be a tent for the “ uber- ultra light ” through hikers, but for day hikers, I think it would be fine. It appears to be very sturdy, which I think it would be great in snow/rain/wind. I think you get a lot for the price with this one, no complaints here and am really happy I picked it up!

[ I am thrilled that it is so easy to set up!!! Plenty of room for 2 adults and a large dog. Having 2 doors is a great feature also. The tent states seem to be a better quality too

[ I bought this tent for my first camping trip in many years, and it was great. Very easy to assemble with tons of features like pockets, door flap holders, hooks lining the top of tent for hanging lights, etc. The two air vents on the rain fly kept things breezy, even while keeping the rain out in the morning. Top notch design! Only downside I noticed so far is that the stakes provided were n't the strongest, and a couple were bent upon taking out of the ground.

[ We camped with this is the snow and in the rain and it kept us dry! We love this tent although my husband burnt the rainfly with a latern.:( Customer service at big agnes was awesome and repaired it.

[ Super easy to set up, without arguing. Plenty of room for 2 adults and young child. Acceptable weight for the size. All of the essential features without garbage that ’s unnecessary to the camping experience.

I still use and love my first, but my outdoor group has expanded in size, so I opted for another Dagger. ... I recently purchased this tent and am excited by how spacious and lightweight it is, and how small it

I love how easy it is to assemble this tent, the color coded option makes it super easy to know which way it goes. I love how tall the tent is, makes it really comfortable to hang out inside the tent and also has lots of storage to dry off and store our stuff while we sleep. I love how light and small the tent packs down to and is perfect for all kind of weather.

Like my year old Dagger. I approve of your now putting the bottom of the fly pullouts in the center of the new re- design for wind. I do wish it were brighter lime green just in Osmo. I loved my old Espri design, just not the construction and would like to have an Osmo version done. Front doors are now out of fashion. I still have a Rivendell Bomb Shelter from 1974. And my favorite of all, my Bibler Fitzroy. The Dagger may yet make the list!

I bought this tent two years ago. I use it for hunting season and it works great. I haven ’ t had any issues at all. The only issue I had was the tent poles twisted around in 80 km hour winds haha and kind of fold it in on itself. The polls did not brea. That might ’ ve been my fault not tying ALL the guide down.

The Dagger OSMO combines quality, light- weight materials, excellent livability, and plenty of toughness to keep you charging through your backpacking adventures for many years to come. Love it

This tent sets up easily, vented well enough to keep condensation to a min, and is super light. The pack size( 1' long) makes it easy to fit across my handlebars.

I 've used this tent for bike packing the roads of the Eastern Sierras. It fits on my road bike handlebars perfectly. Form and Function, this tent is IT! Easy to set up, break down, and so fun to sleep in.

This has been my go to tent for camping the past year or so now and it has seen use on the tour divide, BWCA, and a bunch of smaller trips. I 've been very pleased with it's durability, lightweight and ease of use. I 've primarily used it as a two person tent and it has plenty of space for two oversized sleeping pads and gear. The gear loft is very handy for stashing two helmets to keep them away from chewing mice. I was worried it was a goner when a strong storm and 50+mph winds came out of nowhere in the boundary water, but it battled the winds and kept us dry despite a subsequent monsoon and water roaring underneath. My only complaint is that the stakes that came with it were n't very user friendly in rocky environments. After bending a few I swapped them for some titanium shepherds hooks which are easier to use and hold adequately.

I 've taken this tent out now half a dozen times. It's super easy to set up and Big Agnes has thought out all the little details. Reflective everything makes it easy to set up in the dark. The clicks to attach the fly to the tent are* chefs kiss*. The pockets inside are a game changer. Feels stable in the wind& rain. Few small complaints:- Two toggles that do n't have a corresponding loop to tie the fly into.- On the contrary, one of the doors has no toggle to tie up.- Can be hard to get out without getting wet from the fly if it has been raining.

My partner and I have used this on multiple trips now. With the way we split gear and out load we are riding pretty light and the tent is such a luxury for us. we have not experienced any wear from heavy use and has survived big rain storms.

I 've taken the Crag Lake on several trips now. It's the first higher end tent I 've used. I use it primarily for backpacking. It's a huge improvement over the beast I was carrying( some random 8 lb tent) but I 'd say this is right on the edge of how heavy I 'd want my tent to be. It's perfect for me and my wife. My dog( a lab) can fit if we absolutely have to, but typically she sleeps in the vestibule. This leaves us with a lot of space for gear and stretching out. We enjoy the side and overhead pockets which make organizing your personal items at the end of the night better. It's held up in moderate rain and wind and across three states so far.

I use this tent for exploring rivers and fishing out of my jet boat. I chose the 3 person so I can store gear inside if needed, totally worth the minimal increase in weight. The floor is plenty durable and I set it up on rocks and gravel frequently without a footprint. Two large vestibules are great for laying out wet waders/boots and other gear. It is a higher profile tent( one of the reasons I purchased it) but had no problem with 20- 30 mph winds. Great mid- priced tent and very comfortable!

As for weather the dome holds up well to wind and rain. ... Given the size of the tent, it was remarkably easy to set up. ... Top notch super dome!! ... Terrific family

Best all- weather shelter on the market. Worked exceptionally well in an Alaskan expedition when exposed to wind, weather, and snow. The removable footprint is a must and the weight makes is very flyable for expeditions. Ample ventilation while the fully zipped windows allow tailoring of where air is allowed to move.

Solid as bedrock. I use mostly as a group hub/ kitchen. Amazing peace of mind to have the Guard Station up when things get nasty. I 've seen some horrific weather from the inside of this thing. I might have seen the tent wall slightly move once. My only minor gripe is that the zippers need constant vigilance unless you are in the snow. They are relatively sensitive to dust/ sand compared my other Big Agnes tents. Get a whole bunch of brushes. Use them constantly. Aside from that, this is the greatest tent ever made and my most prized possession.

Just used the tent for a family camping trip. It fit a family of four with all of our stuff with room to spare. Given the size of the tent, it was remarkably easy to set up. The accessory body was nice as it allowed us to keep the kids separate from us which gave them privacy and let them sleep in.

Used the Guard Station 8 as our main basecamp media/gear tent to safely house all the camera gear away from the snow, rain and dust when not filming. Worked a charm. Super sturdy so we were absolutely fine trusting it with all of the camera gear safely stowed inside. Ample headroom and plenty of ventilation made working in it a breeze( no pun intended).

Love love love my guard station 8( super dome) first off this shelter is huge! We set up a double bed, chairs, cooler, table, and even a 84 '' screen with projector. As for weather the dome holds up well to wind and rain. It has plenty of doors windows and vents to keep it at a reasonable temp in the hot sun. For us the shelter is used for summer camping for the most part at boat access only camp spots or the occasional provincial park we love it!! That being said there is one issue after a hot day I find the shelter gets pretty wet on the inside around sunset, the area we camp can go from blazing hot( shorts and no tshirt) while the sun is out to pants and sweatshirt in 30- 45 minutes. Right after this happens it gets pretty moist inside shaking the shelter will make it rain. I still give it a 5 star review as this would not be an issue in cold weather and I 'm thinking the shelter was more designed for that use.
When selecting an outdoor dome tent, consider features such as size, weight, and ease of setup. Look for tents with weather-resistant materials and good ventilation to ensure comfort during your camping trips. Additionally, check for features like storage pockets and vestibules for added convenience.
Outdoor dome tents are typically made from durable materials like polyester or nylon, which provide water resistance and UV protection. The tent poles are often constructed from lightweight aluminum or fiberglass for strength and portability. It's important to choose a tent with a robust rainfly and a waterproof floor to enhance durability.
To choose the right size dome tent, consider the number of people who will be using it and the amount of gear you need to store inside. Tents are usually rated for a specific number of occupants, but it's wise to select a larger size if you prefer extra space for comfort. Additionally, think about the intended use, whether for family camping or solo trips.
Dome tents are popular for camping due to their aerodynamic shape, which helps them withstand wind and rain better than other styles. They also provide a spacious interior with a high peak, allowing for comfortable movement inside. Their lightweight design makes them easy to transport, making them ideal for backpacking and outdoor adventures.
While many outdoor dome tents are designed for three-season use, some models are specifically built for four-season camping. It's essential to check the tent's specifications to ensure it can handle winter conditions if you plan to camp in colder weather. Features like thicker materials, snow flaps, and reinforced structures are indicators of a tent's suitability for various seasons.
To maintain your outdoor dome tent, it's important to store it dry and clean to prevent mold and mildew. Regularly check for any damage to the fabric or seams, and repair any issues promptly to extend its lifespan. Additionally, using a footprint or ground tarp can help protect the tent floor from wear and tear.
