My hands always go numb from the cold below 15 degrees. I ’ ve tried top tier mittens and wool liners to no avail. With these mittens I skied all day at 10 degrees and two breaks and kept my hands warm. I used medium and low settings most of the time and still had half the battery left at the end of the day. I can ’ t wait to go again this week and see how they do in near zero temperatures. Definitely worth the price.

These came just in time for me to shovel my driveway. I thought the elements were on the backs of the hands so was uneasy with gripping a snow shovel, but it must have been okay. I did n't think with the elements on the palms of the hands, that my hands would stay warm. But, when I got inside and took them off, my hands were warm. They are huge( I 'm sure intended for a man's hands), but I made it work. In the long run, I 'm very happy with them. Will probably only wear them at home because of the way they look on me, but that's okay too. Like that they run off of normal batteries instead of a power pack that could eventually stop charging. Is it worth the investment? Hands down, order it today. It takes 60 seconds to warm up, and it will hit 100 degrees and truly stay that way for 12 hours. It takes mayyyybe an 8th of a normal size zippo container to FILL it for the full 12 hours, which is more than anyone needs. To be honest, I get the zippo containers with the flip top, squeeze the bottle in there three times, light it and go. It keeps me warm while I walk my entire 10 mile trap line, exceedingly warm.
