It looks good, it does everything you need and nothing you do n't need. I love the way this hat looks and fits. I have a pretty small head and it has quick easy adjustments. The adjustments are so good that I ride to the beach and back home on my motorcycle without this thing flying off. When I get to the beach and ready to fish I can loosen it in less than a second. It's sun gear so the most important thing is the protection. it's still spring here in Florida but it's already up to 80s on a regular and the day in the photograph was exactly that. The hat works great for blocking the sun and it also does a pretty good job keeping you cool. The brim is stiff enough to stay out flat for coverage but soft enough to still look good. Used it all last summer and heading into this year i 'm relying on it again. Caught my first pompano of the year and the photograph came out great so I figured i 'd actually write a review.

The folding brim allows you to wear it anywhere. If you want to take it off you just fold the brim and stuff the hat either into a pocket or down the sleeeve of your jacket. I really wish they would make a herringbone tweed one. I think it might look great. A subdued heringbone style would make it easier to wear in less rustic settings.

This has been my go- to hat for years. I 've worn it so much that the color has faded. I really like how the skirt can be unbuttoned from the brim and let hang- it provides an additional ventilation option. I also like the draw cord- again it allows ventilation options. The hat is a solid hat from Outdoor Research. It reminds me of one of my favorite hats from 4- 5 years ago from OR. The hat is a mid crowd hat compared to other older models breathable trucker hats. The material breaths well and the adjustment system is simple and easy to adjust on windy days. You can throw it in your bag in the morning and wear for happy hour beers after a ride. Easy to clean or wash off on a a rainy day. Solid boat or river hat too.

This is one of the warmest hats that I have worn. I do a lot of landscape and sports photography. That means standing outside in the elements for long periods of time just waiting. This hat looks good when the flaps are up and looks even better when the flaps are down. The added face guard is a life saver when the wind is really blowing. The fold- able brim is great, but I 'm not sure it's necessary. I did n't feel like I would ever just shove this into a pocket. It's a great hat and I 'm super happy I bought it.

Great hat, especially for people with big heads. Warm, well made, quiet( noisy hats are the worst…) Actually covers my ears and back of my head properly. I have 1 '' stretched ears and nothing keeps them warm. Beanies and headbands never cover my lobes so I 'm always forced to wear hoods, which can get annoying when combined with my long hair. This hat fixes all my problems. Wore it camping at 30° and got too hot while collecting firewood that I had to take it off. Once I sat down to relax, I put it on and it was perfect. If I get even colder, I can always throw a hood on over it as well. Love it.

I think this is a fantastic hat. I have tried many others over the years and this sun hat is the best yet. It gives excellent coverage, it is very lightweight and easily packable.
