These are fantastic! I 'm normally a gloves guy but I bought these for very cold conditions and they did not disappoint. The fit is excellent. They kept my hands warm for two hours on a snowmobile at- 18C( without grip heaters). I like the snug cuffs, they fit under my coat sleeve and keep the snow out. Time will tell but they seem durable and well constructed.

I 've been using these gloves 2- 3 times weekly for around 4 months now. They 're starting to show some wear on the palms, but I believe that's on me for not treating the leather first. These gloves have keep my hands warm in temps as low as- 25° with the wind chill added. Still very efficient even when my hands got sweaty in them.

Super high quality materials and construction. The majority of the mit is a really nice quality leather with great feel. Elastic cuff is fairly snug pulling them on but gives nice closure and feel once on.

As a ski instructor these mittens did the job perfectly. Worn in temperatures ranging from- 15°F to 40°F with no issues. The leather feels premium and the overall look of the gloves is great.

I received my new Flip- it Gloves well before December. They are very pretty and I was surprised by how comfortable they are. I have rather large hands so I ordered the 2XL and they fit like( no pun intended) a glove. The fingers and thumb are large and comfortable and the wrist band expands just right to get them on. They are really warm. One big plus: I missed the detail about the magnets for holding the thumb/finger flips back. That is a great idea. The old gloves I had used Velcro- what a mess! The magnets work great! This is a great gift- for yourself or someone you really like. I do n't really know about Durability yet, but they appear to be pretty heavy duty. I expect them to be as good as all the other Carhartt items I have purchased in the past. You can call me `` Very Satisfied Customer ''.

I work outside throughout the winter and the hardest thing to do is keep my fingers warm when it gets 20 degrees or less. I decided to try these mittens for the times I do n't need fingers( gloves). They are excellent. I added a Hot Hands hand warmer to each mitten and they kept my fingers toasty. I could even take the mittens off, use my fingers to put some nuts on bolts, and put the mittens back on.... No problem. No more painfully cold fingers.

Cuffs are comfortable and make these extra warm. Adjustable strap makes the fit just right. I have very cold hands and these are the best mittens I 've found. I bought these mittens for a snowshoeing trip that ended up being very windy and very cold. Despite the less than ideal conditions, my hands stayed toasty warm the entire trip. These mittens are very lightweight, but kept the wind out very well. There were even a few times along the trail were I had to take them off for a few seconds because my hands we too hot! They also seem to be sufficiently waterproof as I had no issues with water getting in or soggy mittens. The leather palms are also decently grippy which was a pleasant surprise. My only minor complaints are less than ideal dexterity( though that is to be expected with mittens) and there is n't a clip included to keep the mittens together when not in use. Overall these are wonderfully warm mittens and well worth the price!

[ I finally broke down to buy proper winter mittens and chose these as I love my Hestra ski gloves. They are soft and warm, keeping my fingers relatively comfortable in 5 degree Wisconsin weather. They are a bit bulky, but I can still shove them in the pockets of my heavy winter jacket. They work well for sledding, walking around, etc. I would prefer a slightly longer, larger wrist so they can go up over the jacket to keep snow from getting in. But otherwise I am very pleased. They are certainly better than anything I have owned thus far( save for my Hestra ski gloves) for serious winter outdoor time.

[ I wore the mitts to the Lincoln Park Zoo Christmas Light showing. The temp was in the teens, but my hands stayed warm. What more do you need.

[ These gloves are amazing. They keep your hands warm for the coldest of days during the Chicago winters. Highly recommend and worth the cost.
When selecting outdoor mittens, consider features such as insulation, waterproofing, and breathability. Insulated mittens provide warmth in cold conditions, while waterproof materials keep your hands dry during wet weather. Additionally, look for adjustable cuffs and ergonomic designs for a better fit and enhanced dexterity.
Outdoor mittens are typically made from a combination of synthetic fabrics, leather, and insulation materials. Synthetic fabrics often provide water resistance and breathability, while leather can offer durability and a classic look. Insulation materials, such as fleece or down, are crucial for warmth in cold environments.
Yes, outdoor mittens are designed for a range of winter activities, including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and general outdoor play. Depending on the activity, you may want mittens with specific features like enhanced grip for skiing or extra insulation for prolonged exposure to cold. It's important to choose mittens that match your intended use.
Outdoor mittens differ from gloves primarily in their design; mittens have a single compartment for the fingers, which provides more warmth, while gloves have separate finger compartments for dexterity. This design difference makes mittens ideal for cold weather, while gloves may be preferred for activities requiring fine motor skills.
When purchasing outdoor mittens, consider both the size and fit to ensure comfort and warmth. It's important to measure your hand and refer to the sizing guide provided by the manufacturer. Additionally, consider the thickness of any liners or insulation, as this can affect how snugly the mittens fit.
Many outdoor mittens are designed to withstand wet conditions, especially those made with waterproof materials. However, it's essential to check the specifications of the mittens to ensure they are suitable for wet weather. Proper care and maintenance can also help maintain their water resistance over time.
