I 'm usually a S, or size 6, with a short inseam, but I hate when things are tight around by waist, so, I ordered the tights in a M. When it arrived, it was a little big-- not terribly, but it was a little loose. I could have lived with it, but decided to try the S thinking that I would return the M if the S fit better. The S was actually a perfect fit, but the tights are so nice, that I decided to keep both and give the M to my daughter.

I wore these for the first time on a 7 mile run today and I decided mid- run to order another pair as soon as I got home. These are my favorite new running leggings for warmer weather! I had gels and keys in the side pockets and phone in the back pocket and everything was super secure, the leggings did n't ride down or move during the run at all, which I find usually happens with a phone pocket. I wish I had these for the half marathon I ran last week! I love that I do n't need to wear a running belt with these since they hold so much. The leggings are super comfortable, flattering, and did n't need any stretch or wear- in period. I 've tried many pairs of cropped running leggings over the years and they either do n't have pockets, pockets are n't big enough, they ride down, the thigh band is too tight, etc.- these do n't have any of those issues!

These are my favourite shorts to run in. They are comfortable and do n't ride up. The pockets are wide enough to fit my phone in and it gives me confidence that my keys and phone are secure. I ran an ultra marathon( 40 miles) in these and I had no problems. I tried and tested a few brands before I found these shorts( others rub or ride up). [ I got these for my wife. She said: I am a working mom of 7 young kids and I like to keep in shape both for my physical health as well as my mental health( and sanity!) and I need workout gear that can withstand a lot of wear and tear as well as make me feel good while wearing it. These high waisted running leggings really fit the bill! I used them around the house to get tasks done as well as for both for short( 1- 2mile) and long( 5+ mile) runs. There are both pros and cons to this model- the PROS: 1) the material is SO comfortable and has the perfect blend of stretch and compression. 2) the fabric weight is ideal for spring running- it breaths but it also holds in heat so my legs felt great for the duration of each run 3) The pockets are positioned so I could be hands free and still keep my essentials( like phone and energy gel packs) accessible during the run. 4) the waistband is thick so there is not a small single circle of pressure on my abdomen, which is an improvement from other brands I 've tried 5) there is no seam or pressure point anywhere on the tights that was uncomfortable, so I did n't experience any rubbing or discomfort for the duration of wearing them ever! There are only a couple CONS: 1) I felt they run a bit small, especially in the waist. I know they are intended for compression, but getting them on required a bit of discomfort, especially at the top of the waist- it is exceptionally small. I 'd recommend sizing up if you have a larger waist or prefer more room on the waistline. Since they are high rise, it definitely `` cuts '' into the area under your rib- cage at first and is tricky to pull up. Once I got them up, they were fine and they stayed in place perfectly, but I might size up if I buy a second pair for this reason 2) I feel they are a bit long to be considered 7/8 length( I 'm 5' 8 '' 125 lbs)- they fit more like a traditional legging, which was fine for my use but if I truly wanted 7/8 length I 'd say they are longer than that. Overall these are great leggings for running- they stay in place, keep me cool, held up to washes and wear and tear and still look new, and fit comfortably with no rubbing. I 'd definitely recommend them for anyone who wants to run!
