I have a larger sharpening stone& strop that I left behind on a visit to my in laws. In the past I ’ d take that to sharpen their knives. After a YouTube video and reading instructions I was on to sharpening two of my pocket knives with ease. Will need to practice more for sure, but I was able to get a super sharp edge at least at some parts of the knife. Depending on the surface it may not stay still and move depending on the amount of pressure you use, but this is likely an easy fix.
