This pot is a nice addition to a non ltralight backpacking trip. It allows for cooking meals like mac and cheese( rather than just boiling water in the normal windburner pot). The heat is concentrated in the center of the pot, which is intuitive given the design, but it does n't cook as well as a pocket rocket, but uses much less fuel... just stir a little more often and it works just fine! Definitely glad to add this to my gear room.

Great pot. I never thought about how I would about it until I used but the pot and stove index and fit together so it does n't slide off. Sometimes the ground is n't level but with this system its super efficient and does n't slide around.

The cast iron pot is solid, which is great for even heat distribution and durability. ... I highly recommend this system for anyone who enjoys cooking

snugarbear_892
[ This actually comes double boxed which I really like because it protects the product. It is very heavy because of the pot being cast iron. The pot is a 5 gallon cast iron with feet and it's pre- seasoned which is awesome. It also has an aluminum lid to cover the pot. The frame of the pot you bought together so it's provides extra sturdiness for the cooker. It's heated by using a propane tank. This is awesome for tailgating or for camping because even though it's called the jambalaya pot you can virtually cook tons of stuff in this like chili or soups or do a fish fry. The only thing it says you can not use it for is to fry a whole turkey which is understandable because it's only 5 gallon. If you love camping or tailgating or just like to have a pot instead of a grill this is awesome to have. For my large family we do a lot of Chili's and gumbos and soups so this is going to really be great on our next camping trip in a couple of weeks

[ I received this King Kooker Jambalaya Pot Package in exchange for my honest review. I couldn ’ t be happier with this cast iron cooker. I could tell it was a serious cooking system even before I opened the box; it was so heavy. Assembly was easy. The instructions were clear, and everything came together quickly. The cast iron pot is solid, which is great for even heat distribution and durability. The pot ’s stand is stable, even in my grassy yard. Connecting a gas tank was effortless. Once assembled, the whole unit was sturdy and well- built. It will definitely last through many outdoor cookouts and will serve many people. I highly recommend this system for anyone who enjoys cooking outdoors. It ’s a great value and of excellent quality!

Great product. Trying to find balance between stove for backpacking and car camping, this is it. Also love how quickly it boils water at elevation( above 13, 000 ft). Thank you MSR for a great product.

This thing is awesome. I bought this before a windy, cold weather backpacking trip and it performed beautifully. I used to both to boil water and to cook meals( ramen, rice, etc), it worked great for both. It is a little too deep for a typical backpacking utensil to stir the contents all the way to the bottom but that's about the only tiny gripe have. I look forward to buying the smaller windburner container for solo trips and maybe a cook pot as well.
5
Kyle
Really nice stove. It is better than the jet boil it replaced and has a company that cares about its consumers backing it. It is nice to have a line of accessories, but the only thing I would change is a nub inside the burner ring to attach the cup securely like the solo windburner. I 'd also like an attachment that could be made for use with regular pots and pans. But those are minor details. All in all, you ca n't go wrong with this stove or MSR as for as I 'm concerned.

[ My family has recently decided to get more into tent camping, and keeping things light is important. Since many of the meals would be made from freeze dried packages, there was little need to carry a heavy two- burner propane stove and fuel tanks. The JetBoil Stash model looked like just the thing to boil up a few cups of water to make a pouch of food. Not wanting to wait until we actually needed it, I gave it a few test runs under different conditions right at home. It is quick and easy to set up, and I ran into only one easy- to- remedy snag- getting the stabilizer leg assembly to snap onto my fuel canister. Where I live, there's not much selection in fuel, and mail ordering it comes at a high price. That meant getting Coleman brand was my only option within an hour's drive. The problem is that the stabilizer is just too hard to get onto the canister bottom without feeling like you 're going to break it. I have n't owned one of these before, so I do n't know how much variability there is between fuel brands. The good news is that a minute's application of a file fixed it!( See pictures). Once I got it all assembled, I was able to get 2 cups/500 ml of water boiling in about 2- 1/2 minutes or so on average. On really cold days or ones where it was very breezy, it was a little longer, but still really fast. One could easily boil water for and prepare several pouches of food within 10- 15 minutes, even if everyone had something different. I am very happy with my new stove!

[ I just LOVE this new Stash camping stove. It ’s the lightest and most compact in the market that I ’ ve been able to find and JETBOIL is a leader in this segment. It ’s easy to pack because it ’s so compact and light. I was able to boil two cups of water in about 2. 5 minutes. The pot sits on top of the stove very steady. They also sell a frying pan which is the next item I want to get. The flame comes out strong and the way the bottom of the pot is designed to keep in the flame/heat for maximum power. I was a little worried there was no wind guard for the flame, but it seemed to do well with a light wind( haven ’ t tested with a very strong wind but I would probably find some cover if needed. The stove component is made of titanium and is very light yet strong. Great design and quality.

I bought this as I already have the jet boil pot but it doesn ’ t fit on my other jet boil, we have used it to prepare chili on while out on the ice ice fishing, works great just like my other jet boil had the chili ready in minutes didn ’ t miss a fish great products are made here...

[ I 've taken this out for a few trips now and the MightyMo has become my primary stove since. It's simple to use, works well in windy situations and does n't require a cook system which is great for customisation. But the absolute best thing is the stoves ability to regulate heat. I can dial this down to a candle flame for amazing summer control. The one issue is the igniter. Mine stopped working after the second time out. But Jet boil owned the problem and are sending me a replacement. Amazing customer service! I would recommend this stove to anyone.

The Jetboil system is lightening fast& uses less fuel than other stoves I 've owned. After a long days hike, the last thing I want to do is wait around for my water to boil. [ The Zip 0. 8L is my new go to stove for most adventures! It is easy to use even without the directions since the labeling on the jetboil illustrates the proper usage. This is the first of the jetboil systems I have owned and I am very pleased with its functionality. I have been able to use it quite a bit this winter and it boiled water quickly even in negative Fahrenheit conditions and higher elevations( tested around 10000 ft). Changing the amount of heat is smooth with the dial and it is seamless to ignite. My favorite part is the lid that makes it effortless to pour hot water out and the additional holes if you need to control the water you drain out. The system is also very easy to clean and pack. I plan to use it not only for ski/snowshoe days but also on my next camping trip to Norway since it's so small and easy to pack. Jetboil gave me this free product to try.

[ Jetboil gave me this free product to try. As a bikepacker who values lightweight, compact gear, the Jetboil Zip 0. 8 has become my go- to stove for all my adventures. After using it on several long- distance bikepacking trips, I can confidently say that this stove is a game- changer. First off, the lightweight design is perfect for bikepacking. It's small and packs down easily, fitting into my gear without taking up much space. It is super light, it wo n't weigh you down, which is essential when you 're trying to keep your gear minimal and efficient on the trail. The boil time is impressive for such a compact system. I can bring water to a boil in about 2 minutes, which is fast enough for a quick morning coffee or preparing a meal after a long day of riding. It saves me time and energy, so I can get back on the trail sooner. I also love how fuel- efficient the Zip is, especially since bikepacking often means you need to carry enough fuel for several days. The stove's FluxRing technology ensures an even boil while using less fuel, so I can stretch my fuel canister further- saving both weight and space in my panniers. One feature I particularly appreciate for bikepacking is the neoprene cover which helps to insulate the pot while also keeping you from burning your hands. It's built to handle the bumps and jostles of being packed alongside other gear in my bike bags. The stove fits nicely into the pot, with room for a fuel canister, matches and utensils. I also like that the plastic cup used to protect the Fluxring has volume measurements on it in case you need to measure out a small amount of water. The Jetboil Zip might not have all the bells and whistles of more advanced models, but it's incredibly effective for what I need on the trail. It's affordable, reliable, and just the right size for my bikepacking setup. If you 're planning a bikepacking trip and want a stove that's efficient, easy to use, and does n't weigh you down, I highly recommend the Jetboil Zip Cooking System. It's simple, durable, and perfect for fueling your outdoor adventures.

[ I have used the older versions of the jetboil, and they have streamlined a few things. For instance the regulator knob is indicated with a+ and- diagram. This may seem trivial but I frequently try and turn up the flame and turn off the gas. Not that big of a deal but I instantly noticed this and now always know which way to adjust the volume. Great product!!

I have not used the one that I ordered as of yet. I bought this because a buddy of mine has it and have used it a few times and it is great. Much lighter than my old setup and is much faster, meaning less fuel. I do n't mind that it does n't have an igniter, I tend to just throw a mini Bic in the cup and leave it there, not to mention I always have another lighter with me for emergencies.

Buying the base camp was a huge upgrade from my older green two burner stove. The regulator is fantastic and allows you to really dial in either a very low heat to simmer with our worrying about the flame going out. The ignition system is fast and reliable.

this unit is nice and compact and has everything except the propane itself, it heats up fast and has nice wind guards to protect the flame and keep things at temperature! its such and easy setup too the only thing that could be annoying was if you did n't have a big enough table the propane is kind of awkward but other than that this unit is everything I was looking for in a camp stove!

Using a pot with a burner for outdoor cooking offers several advantages, including portability and versatility. These setups are designed to heat quickly, allowing for efficient meal preparation in various environments. They are ideal for camping, hiking, or backyard gatherings, providing a convenient way to cook meals away from traditional kitchen setups.
Pots with burners typically use various fuel types, including propane, butane, and liquid fuel. Each fuel type has its own advantages, such as portability, ease of use, and heat output. It's essential to choose a fuel that is compatible with your burner system to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Choosing the right size pot for your burner depends on the number of people you are cooking for and the type of meals you plan to prepare. Larger pots are suitable for stews or boiling water for multiple servings, while smaller pots are great for quick meals or single servings. Additionally, ensure that the pot fits securely on the burner for safety and efficiency.
Pots designed for use with burners are commonly made from materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and cast iron. Aluminum is lightweight and heats quickly, while stainless steel offers durability and resistance to corrosion. Cast iron retains heat well and is excellent for slow cooking, making it a popular choice for outdoor cooking.
While pots with burners are primarily designed for outdoor use, some can be used indoors if they are compatible with indoor cooking environments. However, it's crucial to ensure proper ventilation and safety measures are in place, as some burners may produce carbon monoxide or require open flames. Always check the manufacturer's guidelines before using outdoor equipment indoors.
Safety is paramount when using a pot with a burner. Always set up your cooking area on a stable, flat surface away from flammable materials. Ensure that the burner is properly assembled and that you use the correct fuel type. Additionally, keep a fire extinguisher nearby and never leave the burner unattended while in use.
