[ I received this a week ago. My husband works in the garage a lot and it, does get really cold here, and he has been waiting to get a heater for the garage. I have to say it was easy to install it to the wall of the garage,( you do n't have to put it on the wall if you do n't want too), it does come with feet, so you can just put it on the ground. But I must say it works perfectly, the heater heats the garage up pretty fast. I wish we had this sooner. I am very happy with the product and so would you.

[ To me this heater is very large, however it's very light, around 20lbs I 'd say. I can not tell you how much I am in love with this heater! We have it in our double car garage. It only takes about 8- 10 minutes before our garage is toasty warm! It is super simple to set up it has regulator, and hose. All you do is hook it up to a 40lb tank and you 're set. I look forward to using this heater for many years to come and I highly recommend it!

I love going out there to get some space and work on projects, but tend to stay away when it's cold. Let me tell you, this heater made a huge difference. [ I actually wanted this for a backup heat source since I live in a rural area. But after researching further I realized it's not for indoor use. However, my husband was helping build a garage and it was really cold outside so we used it to warm them up. We tried hooking it to a 20 gallon tank and it kept shutting off. So after hooking it to the appropriate size tank we had heat! The first time using it we had some smelly fumes, but that's normal with any new heater. Once the fumes were gone this heater actually put out quite a bit of heat. We did n't have to get really close to feel the heat even though we were outdoors. I do like that it has an auto shut off in case it gets tipped over. This heater comes with a 10 ft hose to hook to your gas tank. After using for about 9 hours our tank is still half full! So it is pretty economical.

[ I got this heater for my 20x30 uninsulated shop two weeks ago and I 've been able to use it a few times in cold weather. Overall I 'll say this heater is outstanding at heating my space. In 27 degree weather I was able to heat the shop from 34 degrees to a comfortable 58 degrees in under an hour. Within 20- 30 minutes it was over 50 degrees and it was comfortable to work. It greatly outpaces a forced air heater in that you get 360 degree heat so you can park this heater in the middle of the shop/worksite and get heat in all directions. That drastically reduces the time to heat the entire space. It is also significantly quieter than a forced air/torpedo heater because you do n't have a noisy fan blowing the heat. My main complaint is assembly instructions. Overall it's pretty easy to set up, but getting the wheels mounted was terrible. It took a call to customer service and rep to get one of their units out to get the wheels mounted. I ca n't stress this enough, CAREFULLY TAKE THE PIECES OUT OF THE BOX!! There are two small spring clips that mount the two small pins that hold the wheels in place in the box. I found them laying in the bottom of the box after nearly giving up on the wheel assembly. You 'll also need to invest in a stick lighter. The built in sparker is worthless. I have n't gotten it to spark once, but this heater is easy to light with a stick lighter The other small downfall it that this heater requires a 100 pound propane tank. I had to purchase one and they are n't cheap($ 150 new and$ 80 used) and then about$ 70 to fill where I live. I have n't run it empty yet so I ca n't speak to how long a tank lasts. I 'm not planning to use the heater daily so I 'm hoping 1- 2 tanks per year last me, but we 'll see. Overall I 'd say this thing is great. I 'd been shopping wood stoves, barrel stove kits, and pellet stoves. This beats those because it gives instant heat, solid radiant heat after only a few minutes, and you do n't have to cut a hole in the roof! It's also a much cheaper up front cost than a wood stove or pellet stove.

Bought this for camping on an unusually cold weekend. I did n't have it running the whole time as the tent was pretty tight and there is an open pilot light that will constantly run when operating. But running it for 20 minutes or so will heat our 6 person tent nicely. Then I turned it off, fell asleep and when I woke up after the tent cooled back down I would start it back up for 20 minutes. The kids did n't even realize any of it happened. They just knew the tent was more comfortable than the outdoors when they exited in the morning. I 've used it a couple of times in our detached two car garage as well. It would n't work to heat the space, but works nicely if you are working in one spot and just want to the the edge off.

very nice pilot lit every time, but never could get heater to work once i released the pilot button. Returned and scared to try another one cause it may stop working. safe and can be used indoors is why i bought it. lt would have been perfect if it would work but i have read other reviews and i am not the only one that could not get it to work.

[ I received this Buddy Flex heater a few weeks ago and it has been great. It is starting to get colder in my area and deer hunting is full swing. This thing is perfect to warm up and keep myself warm during breaks from being in the tree stand. It is pretty light and easy to hook up. It warms up quickly. The heater seems sturdy and good quality so it will last many years. I also like that it can hook up to the cooker that you can buy separate. That will be a nice investment to be able to cook some dinner while out or even during camping. It is compact so it does not take up much storage space.
